ok simple...simple...question....

what the f**k is going on. rolleyes.gif

what i mean is, we get a lot of "n00bs" here all of the time.
many of them have never been on forums before, and don't know everything about them and all...but come on, why is everyone being so mean to them? i mean...a little mistake, like posting in the wrong forum, and about every single post in that topic is yelling at them about that. someone spells a few words wrong, and they get completely bashed. its like there are 2 sections of people here. you are either a "n00b" and constantly seem to get bashed with like eveything you say, or i suppose you are the "basher". Just because you've been here a little longer than other gives nobody any right to treat them like dirt. What I mean by this, is i understand that some people are jsut "brutally honest" in a sort of mean way...but does everyone whos been here over a month have to be like that? when i first came here, everyone was so nice. I'm serious. I hadn't seen anything negitive for a long time. then, im not really sure what happened, but its like being a bitch to everyone, was some sort of way to earn respect. but lets face it, many of the people on here are very rude to the newer people. people get so mad if a topics in the wrong spot, or they "tYp3 LyK D1s!!11!!1!one!!!1!!!11one!!" or whatever. all i ask, is can we show a little respect for one another? lets be a little bit more mature? =/

I just wanted to make this topic...because of my opinion of how i feel everytime i come here. i see so many mean things, and i want to reply, but i feel like i'll become the center of the bashing. and please respect my opinion. thanks.

also- there is a difference between confronting someone if they really do make a mistake, and yelling at them. personally, i think they will listen better by confronting them in a reasonal mannor.

btw- this topic was not directed towards any individuals at all. just a bunch of people in general.

don't be scared to reply.

I'm not a basher or a bashee. But I agree, people who bash other people piss me off. I remember one time when I was semi new some girl said that I made a topic that someone else also made even though I made it before that person, and she called me a n00b. So I started yelling at her and yea she didn't reply back.

You're not the only one who completely feels that way. Honestly...I don't believe I've ever been mean to newbs. I think I mocked the majority of the picture threads in the picture forums once, but that wasn't directed towards newbs themselves. Gah. They can't help that they're new. I mean...we were all new at one point.

Yes I completely agree. Some people are just so RUDE and MEAN to the noobs. They have no superiority over anyone. It's ridiculous and they look stupid because not only are they showing how cowardly they are by making fun of people over the internet, but also that their self-esteem is low so they need to bring it up by bringing people down.

I don't think I've been rude to noobs...and I don't plan to. They're new and I mean, would you go back to a place where they treated you like scum? I don't think so.

But sometimes..there are people that just piss others off. ermm.gif

yes it was, you can admit it. so i say some stupid stuff when im mad. ive just been really stressed lately, and i have a tendency to take it out on other people, sorry. i should really stay offline when im in that kind of mood, but its my stress relief, because otherwise i end up bitching at friends, which comes with bigger consequences. so ive definitely been taking it too far, and ill try not to, youre right sad.gif

Actually no, I don't think I'm cool because I put others down. I do it because it's fun.
Anywho, it's not like I'm always bashing members. I sometimes give useful advice, it's just that they tend to take it the wrong way.

Anyhoo, I've noticed that newbies are being treated mean. Geez, what makes people think that they're better? _dry.gif

^ true. I personally got kind of mad seeing everyone bashing the ghost topic. So its a POSSIBILITY that its fake, there is also the possibility that they are real htough... i mean..its nice to express opinions on it but they don't need to be so rude while they do it....the first like 4 people that posted in it ust told him to "shutup"

I have been a bit mean in the chat sometimes.. but I try to be welcoming on the forums.
I have noticed it, too.. more in the chat than anywhere.
The n00bs are always getting booted out of the chat and getting made fun of.

yah brie thats true...i dont think i was really assaulted though, because i went in the chatroom sometime around when it started. but like one person goes in there asking for a banner or someone to help them, and they get cussed out. is that so right? they just want help. instead of cussing them out we could politly say no, or something i actually do help them [with whati can]...=/

Your completely losing the concept of this topic.

They act like they should be respected, but people in reality don't want to mess with them..like a said before, they think its a way to earn respect.
I never said it was.

I just made this topic to state my opinions on things, because i don't speak up about it very much. If you want to keep saying the opposite of everything i say, go ahead =/...but if you really think that being means the way to go, sure..
