Spanglish, new Adam Sandler movie! |

It's coming out somewhere in December - the 17th I think.
I saw a big movie poster of it and it said starring Adam Sandler. Not to mention it had him on it.  Well, all I know of it is starring Adam Sandler, Téa Leoni, Paz Vega and Cloris Leachman. I only know who Adam is for sure, but the others sound vaguely familiar. Here is a short summary of it: James L. Brooks' newest romantic dramedy stars Adam Sandler, Tea Leoni and newcomer Paz Vega. Sandler is a famous chef who's not as successful on the home front, Leoni is his wife who's trying to get the home fires burning again and Vega is the recent Mexican immigrant who's hired as a housekeeper and nanny. Things get complicated when Sandler's character begins to fall for the beautiful maid. I hope it's a Happy Madison production, so it'll be funny like his other movies: Billy Madison, 50 First Dates, Happy Gilmore, Wedding Singer, Mr. Deeds, Big Daddy etc. The only horrible movie of his was that Punch Drunk Love. I think it was awful.  So will you guys be watching Spanglish? |

well ... I guess you're out of luck .... this isn't a Happy Madison film
You might recognize Tea Leoni from The Family Man .... but other than that .... this film isn't supposed to be the fart comedy that so many of you know Adam Sandler for .... its SUPPOSED to be Punch-Drunk Love'ish .... which by the way, in my opinion, was a great film. |

I haven't heard of it until now, but just from the summary, I think it'd seem more Punch-Drunk Love-ish, as this person stated. I mean...if he starts to fall in love with the maid, there probably isn't going to be a happy ending for the wife...unless, of course, they make her a comedic villian. |

Whats crazy is that my Dad actually was like "Hmm this is interesting, maybe it would be good since he isn't acting like a goofball." It looks interesting but then again it doesn't....Hmm.

i like adam sandler as a comedian and with this movie it's basically his attempt at branching out onto other genres of movies. it seems cute though. i might go see it...

i really want to watch it! it's not a happy madison production so it won't be one of his trademark comedies. one of the summaries i read about spanglish said it was "dramedy." if that makes any sense. =/

I might go see it when it comes out. This movie, if it's the one I'm thinking of, it looks likes it's a more mature movie he's doing with a touch of his comedy. I dunno tho, i haven't really paid attention

I'll probably wait until it comes out on video. I like Adam Sandler's stuff but I only see horror in the theatre.
