I hate using the word Poser. (Not because I'm one) I just think it's wrong for people to judge people. Although it does piss me off when people walking around calling themself 'punk' or whatever. When you've been in the music biz for 20 years or so, have a grammy or w.e, and are respected then call yourself whatever the hell you want. Besides, I saw this shirt i thought was hillarious it said 'Punk is not dead..You can buy it at Walmart for $14.99'. All and all, I do not believe in posers. I do get called it because I supppasably have the facial structure of avril lavinge (or how ever you spell it)I let people call me as they wish, talk bad about me, I don't give a damn, but they cannot, no they cannot, say I am not true to myself. I do/dress how I want, without giving a flying monkeys butt.

I'm a student who was raised into a metal family, well on my fathers side. My step mom was a huge Cannibal Corpse fan, and liked the hardcore metal stuff at that time, but listened to the older speed/thrash metal Ex:Motorhead, Napalm Death. Well I was also raised up listening to Insane Clown Posse, from my older brother before he went into the black underground, <---The underground style of rap where it's black people being ghetto and shyt. Well I listening to both got accustomed to both, and continued to listen to them when I was at my moms house. Now as i'm older I consider myself a Hardcore metal fan, and a Juggalo. I wear mostly generic/no name black clothes, I have the occasional Tripp/Kikwear/Caffine pants/shorts but only like 3 pair that i've used for about three years alltogether. But I get called a poser from the rich kids who went from "Prep" to "Goth"/"Punk" over the weekend. Most of these kids are the rich kids who used to brag about how much money he brought each day, like who cares? But I get called a poser by people who think Slipknot or MM are the most hardcore bands there is, or think these are the bands you have to listen to or you're mainstream. Um, if you haven't noticed the Slipknot is played on the radio quite regularly, almost half of Subliminal Verses is on the radio. Parts of Iowa, and Wait and Bleed from Self-titled are on the radio constantly. And MM he gets some video play and radio play also. I mean I think these bands are good for the music they play, but it's not goth music. Gothic music is The Cure, Bauhaus and others such as those. I cannot consider myself goth because Goth grew from those bands, I also don't want to consider myself goth, because people then use the P word. It's stupid how people think Hot Topic is underground, and if they dress in Hot Topic garb they are "Goth". Well to break the ground for you they are not mainstream, far from it. Hot Topic is a branch of The Gap. Yes, I said it, Hot Topic is owned and runned by The Gap. So you can't say that I buy myclothes online to a place that a thousand people have visited in the entire time it's been online, that i'm mainstream, you, buying stuff every weekend from Hot Topic are the mainstream groupie. I like the color black because it helps express the music i'm intrested in. I also know somone is going to say, ICP/Twiztid or the psychopathic label isn't underground, Well, how many of their videos are allowed on MTV? Launch only has three videos, I believe Cannibal Corpse outnumbers them in videos. And ICP has a buschel of music videos. They cannot be mainstream, I mean yes their are probably multiple hundereds thousands of fans , but then again, how many millions are fans of Slipknot? So, all I have to say, if you're really all about the music dress to the style of music, but if you go to hot topic and buy them out and listen to Good Charlotte and only Slipknot, don't call me a poser because I don't spend my money on the clothes. I spend it on what's important, the music, you can't be part of a subculture if you aren't about the music. Oh, for the record you can't say you're part of a subculture such as "Goth" or "Punk" if you are about the music and are true, you will develop the behavior/attitude/and clothing style, then people will recognize you as real and not a "Poser"

A compulsive LIAR!! One who is born with it. I knew this girl, who in high school said she had a four year old son, she lied to everyone and everyone knew. Okay... This is my theory. It's a theory on posers and why they wish they were posers. First.. I would like to give my personal definition of a poser and what's not a poser.

Poser::
1. Someone who says they are something they're not.
2. Someone who dresses, listens to music, does certain things, etc. to fit in with a specific group.
3. Someone who classifies themselves because they wish to be steriotyped into a certain set of people.

Not A Poser::
1. Someone who does what they want, when they want, and doesn't follow anyone's rules.
2. Someone who lives for themselves.
3. Someone who does not think that anyone has the right to give off their steriotypicalness to them.

That's pretty much it. But, I would like to clarify something. Last year, I, myself, was a poser. I will admit it. I thought I was punk. LMFAO!!! Can you see me punk??

Theory:
I personally believe that many people want to fit in. Many would like to be recognized and seen a certain way. Don't get me wrong, I do not blame these people for this urge. I understand why people would want such things. But, I think the truely desperate people would change themselves to fit in with these people. This, my friend, is a poser. Everyone was meant to be a certain way. There has to be a balance between different clutures, religons, people, etc.. I think the people who change themselves throw off the balance. But, what I believe is there shouldn't be any labeling at all. I, for instance, listen to quite a few different kinds of music. Also, I dress the way I want. I like some ghetto styles, punk, preppy, and anything else, really. I don't care. I think people who label themselves and other people, are pretty damn close minded.

Biggest poser of all time: Joe Pooglielli. I can guarentee you that's not how you spell his last name but, do you think I care. HELL NO! He has one pair of 'punk' pants and one Slipknot shirt.
1. He wears those pants almost every day. Which is just... not right.
2. He wears that Slipknot shirt almost every day. Which, again, is just... not right.

Would you like to know why he does all of this posing? Well, he believes that Hutton is his best friend and that Autumn likes him. I don't know why. THE FAT ASS CAN'T TAKE A GOD DAMN HINT! (I would like to clarify, for any fat people, I don't have problems with fat people. But, he's just... ew.) In history he sits with us and touches our desks and gets all close and acts like our friend. Meanwhile, Autumn is scratching the living shit out of him and glaring at him and telling him to go the f**k away. I'm doing the same. LMFAO!! It was so funny that one time when I plucked him in the head with my pencil. haha, lol, HEY! I post photos in the photos threa well, umm, I guess a poser is someone who REALLY likes to look at themself and ummmm I donno, thinks they are the greatest and is realyl snobby?
