I personally use Adobe Photoshop and Image Ready. You can get a free trial off of Adobe.com. Others use Paint Shop Pro, and I think you can still get a free trial of that from jasc.com.

Some people make their layouts on MS Paint too, if you dont want to have to buy any additional software. happy.gif

I also use Photoshop...and Imageready to animate things. :D It really depends on what program you're good at.

Some people prefer PaintShop Pro because from those you can make glitter signs and what not.

you might wanna use adobe photoshop/imageready for the images/image mapping.
you might also want a software to code your stuff, but that might not be entirely necessary.

personally, i like adobe, and i think it's easier, but who knows for other ppl, PSP is a good program 2, and u can try downloading the free trials. paint works, but if u really want a nice layout, try adobe or PSP happy.gif pinch.gif

Photoshop and Imageready's what I use. You'll need something to code your layout in. I just use Notepad.

biggrin.gif cool, i'm different!

i actually use fireworks, which can also be used to img map at the same time while create the layout or whatever. It a mixture of an art program and a web designing kind of thing... hard to explain.

one thing for sure is that i don't have to go an extra step of using img ready.
