okai this is wut mai parents told me that Boba is NOT good for u AT ALL and now they wont let me drink it =( i was soo pissed off they read sumthing on da news paper that there is thing thing in da tapioka balls and and milk tea is that there is sumthign and it never leaves ur body and if u drink alot u can get cancer wen u grow up or u can get cancer... its sumthing like dis powder thingy or i duno well u guys dont have to belive me but im jus warnign u guys just incase haha

boba makers have to store carbohydrates in a certain way to get those black pearls. maybe the way they store it makes some kinda of harmful chemical

I think the pearls are white and become black after they're cooked. At least that's what I think I saw at this bubble tea place near me, they were cooking them I think they were white. Later when it was done it was the black color. But yea I love bubble tea, haven't had it in a while. Love lychee, mango, and milk tea. Also I wouldn't put much though into what they say in the newspapers, I remember hearing sweet and low gives you cancer, but then I think I heard it was good for you. Same thing with chocolate, which is too be avoided cause not only is it fattening but causes other health problems, now research shows it good for your heart. Next thing you know they gonna be saying the tapioca balls promote longer life lol
