There's the 13th floor that most buildings don't have.. iono that's what i heard. Alot of buildings dont' have a 13th floor _unsure.gif

but for Chinese 4 is a bad luck number ermm.gif

I don't really believe that superstition... but some superstitions are based on some sort of weird fact from way back when, so you never know which ones are REALLY true or not, but #13 is definitely not one of my fav numbers!

yeah i don't really believe it. wow, its a number... _dry.gif but yeah most buildings won't label the "13th floor" just look at the elevator. its goes 11, 12, 14...

I think 13 is pretty cool..

8 is a lucky number in Chinese.

and i heard it was considered unlucky cuz when ppl started counting they only got up to 12 and they were scared of the unknown....lol

I've always wondered why that number has a bad rep in many cultures. My dad tells me something funny when I asked him and my mom tells me something else.

But anyway, it is refers to The Last Super where Christ ate with 13 people.

Yeah they have no 13 because superstitious people wont live there.
There isn't a 14 floor on my uncle in china's apartment building.

i think it was the Greeks who believed the number 13 was a lucky number...because of the 12 apostles and then Jesus was #13. so yeah...it was part of a presentation of my friend. very interesting....

harr harr, not really.....but then really at the same time. like, i don't believe in the whole "friday the thirteenth" sorta thing, but there's this really wierd gut feeling in myself when something has to do with thirteen. like, if the volume on the tv is 13, i change it for some reason cause i dont want it to be 13.....don't know why. i don't know, just small stuff like that pinch.gif happy.gif (lol, wierd, i know)

no, NINE is the lucky number in China.

i remember a that a lot of Chinese couples wanted to get married on 9/9/99, because it's good luck.

i dont even think about it, because i hear that if you put yourself in that sort of mindset you usually fall in its path. in fact, 13 is one of my favorite numbers because it's just really interesting.

lol ^ that is stupid. i mean it's jsut a number if you act like a kid and actually believe that its an unlucky number. if you believe that it's nothing more than a number then nothing will happen. i dont understand that, i mean there are lots of other ones that are worse than that, that not buying purple towels, or stepping on the cracks on teh sidewalk. it's just plain stupid.

my friends buildings have 21 floors but on the elavator, they dont have a number 13.. - -;
and theres a house 13 in my friends neighborhood.. and mean old grammas live there. and my friend almost cried because we decided to ring the doorbell in house 13..

I love the number 13 (hence the 13 in my username). But it's mostly because my birthday's on the 13th.. anyways... I've seen buildings that don't have the 13th floor, which I think is really stupid. I mean, it's a NUMBER. Nothing horrible had happened to me when I was 13 or when it was Friday the 13th, so I have no reason to believe that it brings bad luck...

My grandma told me that 14 is a unlucky number but it's still my favorite number cuz it's on my birthday.

Sometimes the elevators don't have the number 13.

yeaah.. in hotels here, there's no 13th floor. all but one hotel here have no 13th floor... but i duno.. i don't really think or know why that 13 is a bad luck number...
