The last president who managed to prevent terrorism for a significant time (over 10 years) was Ronald Reagan.

His solution: Pull our troops away from countries (Saudi Arabia, Beirut, Jordan, etc.) where they don't belong.

hmm..it would take a long time. it woudn't be quick..but you could try cracking down on those committing terrorist acts. if someone finds a group who is committing terrorism, for any reason, religion and whatnot, you can arrest them all. that pretty much works for 1 and 2 i guess..

for darfur....most all of africa is downright POOR. people live uncivilized with very little money and almost no food. giving them large amounts of food is doing nothing but filling them up only to make them hungrier. you have to start feeding these people gradually so they ease into the feeling of actually having food. there shouldn't be only one country sending things over to help, there should be many countries joining. delagates from each country could go and help moderate the amount of food being given to the people. if you give them too much at one moment, they'll end up eating themselves alive. it works with us too. if we're hungry and we eat a small little snack to tide us over, it makes us think about the hunger more. try it, it'll happen.

Of course, since most terrorist attacks are suicidal, that won't help.

LOL.

Ali G would beg to differ though. He thinks that suicide bombers should be given severe sentences in jail -- 20 years to life.

You really should be careful how you throw that phrase around.

Minding our own business in what? Please specify.

If we do, we'd seriously hold back our globalization (as in economic, trading, business etc) progress.

that's why i said put down the organizations that support/do those things. if there's no group to tell them to, less people will be going around doing that.
