Lol i dunno this is something new im trying..i dont know if it works but i want some opinions from you guys.

So im sorta failing spanish...i try and study but i forget a lot of the words..so my friend was like "why not try making a cd and listening to it over and over?".

At first i laughed at him but then i though, well..we listen to music right? and after awhile we memorize the songs, even songs we hate..so..would listening to a recorded message do the same?

So i recorded my voice saying some spanish verbs (over 50 sad.gif ) and im sorta listwening to them now on my media player, i cant play the cd on a cd player cause the file is in .wma formate (anyone know any voice recording programs that make the file .mp3?).

so anyways i was wondering if it works..has anyone done it? or is it just lame lol.

I don't really have trouble remembering stuff that we've gone through for days, but if the things I have to remember came in at the same day as the test, lets say some answers, then I make a song about it. Just like in that one movie.
It's funny how the teacher reacts to my friends and I humming fur elise during a vocab test.

Studying's for losers. hammer.gif
Learn the info the day the teacher gives you the lecture about it. It's so much easier that way...

yeah my memory can really suck some days and yet other days, its great. its so screwed up. _dry.gif anyways, i haven't done the recording thing but i just repeat it over and over in my brain by reading it and just going over it. and i don't study much...only with stuff i'm not too sure about which is slowly becoming more and more often...

yehh recording it and letting it play over and over again when you sleep really works! i havent tried it yet but my history teacher said its great.

on major tests and exams i study the nigth before and the day of the test i review everything. it refreshes my memory and it helps better then juss studying the night before.

read or write it again and again. right before the test is best. or it used to be. now...just the amount of concentrated study matters most

that would probably work. just make sure you know the meanings of the words you're listening to, not just knowing what they sound like.

HEY i'm not the only one!! it works!! i had to memorize a thing from Romeo n Juliet last year n i listened to the paragraph over n over again on my computer ((all night.. even while i was asleep)) n i knew it the next morning. you cant just hear it though..... you have to really let it soak in your head and try to talk with it.. like you'd sing a song when ur just learning the words.

happy studying!

You know, most of the tests I study for, well I mean if I DO study (rarely), I always forget what I studied anyway. I mean, I have very short term memory and a short attention span. So I have a har dtime even paying attention at all hahha. But anyway, when I really do try to study and do remember, I just say somethng over and over again 30 times. If I had to remember vocabular words for when i was a Freshman, I would say the word and definition 20-30 times. Yea I wasted about an hour doing that, but I remembered it lol. And that was the only homework I had for freshman english class anyway haha. When I say things over and over again the night before, I remember it very well.

I just remember mine by memorizing what we've learned and making it into a song. Once the test comes, I sing it everyday! _smile.gif

i suffer from short term memory loss .... not literally haha but yea. i dont remember details that happened yesterday, but i remember what happened the day before or two days before. so .. i either have to study two days before the test .. or an hour before the test. day before doesnt work for me cuz the stuff doesnt sink in _unsure.gif
