I've got a few friends who are non-christian and they're always saying bad stuff about christianity. i.e "oh its so stupid" "oh, you all are dumbass bush supporters" "oh, blah blah blah".

what's funny is that they don't know jackcrap about christianity. they don't know what we learn and how great it is.

it ... iirks me. i can go on forever, but i dont feel like it.



for christians... are you feeling this from atheist, etc friends?

i'm christian..my friends know it and they respect that, but i don't really hear about it much from people at my school. we've got a lot of religions at my school, so people are mostly respectful of that.

stupid bitches, i hate it those people that try to act all tough, and blah blah blah, and they trash talk about God because we`re in our school uniform.

I relate close to those universal unitarians. mm, I WISH I found God, I was in a christian school for 9 years, and haven't found him yet. =/ Now whenever I pass by the Agape club, I'm so sad cuz they're so happy.

No, I don't look down on Christians, I think it's fine to believe in it. Unless they start talking about how non-believers are all going to hell. That I don't respect. But yea, a lot of my friends are Christian, and they're all fun to hang out with! (and I need to limit my swearing anyway)

I'm a christian but i've never really felt that way toward atheists..lots of my friends are atheists, and they don't care what religion i partake in, as long as i dont irritate them about it or w/e.

the ones that get put down by the atheists are probably the ones who go off sayin "REPENT! YOU'RE GOING TO HELL!!" in the streets and whatever...tryin to force a belief into an atheist's throat, which is why they get put down.

and not all christians are bush supporters, my dad's a christian and he's goin for kerry, though the only thing he constantly says is "bush got us into war"...and nothing else :/.

the only time i'd say "shut up, that's ridiculous" or something is when someone is trying to convert me to christianity. so i don't believe, good for me, now leave me alone..ahh >< my neighbor is so persistent that i become christian. she tells me it's wrong to be agnostic, so yeah, it goes both ways.

yeah i'm a baptized roman catholic, and i've been going to a catholic private school since i was in kindergarten (i'm in grade 11 now) and so technically i'm a christian but i've been kind of...falling from my faith you could say in the last year or so. i don't mind christianity or aeithism or whatever so long as no one forces me to believe something.

There is no right or wrong in religion, only preceived right/wrong. Because of this, I see no point in "play[ing] down" any religion until someone offends me with their "there is only one truth" babble (which happens quite often).

i went to Catholic school from K-5th grade.. went to a Church of Christ school from 6-8th grade... i've read the bible cover to cover and i still dont believe in any of it.

I am Jewish. My whole family is Christian. [In fact, my brother is becoming a pastor.] I grew up being taught Christianity. But I withdrew from the religion because I did not feel it was...many things. Many things that I thought a religion should be. I still believe Jesus was a person in history who did great things. But personally, I don't believe he is the Messiah.

I don't crack down on Christians or insult them. We have different beliefs. Believe me. I know what it's like to be a Christian and a Jew. I would be ignorant to bash Christians. The only thing that bugs me greatly is when they say I am going to hell because I don't believe Jesus was the Messiah. [Which my grandmother does regularly.]

Everyone has their own beliefs, and I have mine. I wouldn't want someone to say I'm horrible for not believeing in Christ and I'm going to hell. Thus I wouldn't tell someone that they're wrong for their own beliefs.

That is all.

OR they could do it because they have enough of disrespect.

If someone happens to disrespect what I believe in, I will play no part in helping them humor themselves at my expense. Therefore, if they disrespect my beliefs, I will disrespect that individual in kind. This is is hard though because Christians believe the same and if I happen to say something to one then a whole bunch jump in to defend that person. This can be said about a person of any beliefs, not just Christianity.

um I'im Christian and some people do talk smack, but the thing is people will always talk smack as long as you believe in Christ cuz he even said so Himself in the Bible. my friends of other religons often expect me to steryotype or insult them or something for their beliefs because im christian, but i wouldnt do that, because it really makes no difference to me. i know some people though who think that all christians are like southern baptists, and that really pisses me off because im catholic and those two religons are nothing alike. some people think that you cant be christian and open to science and anything intellecual and thats wrong too. but honestly, theres steryotypes about everything. you just have to learn to get used to it

I wouldn't consider myself to be Christian, more Sprititual but I know A LOT about Christianity and their beliefs since my bf and his family are very devoted Christians. Anyway, my two sisters don't believe in God but they don't go bashing other people's religion. I respect everyone's belief, but it doesn't mean that I agree with it. Yea I guess it just boils down to ignorance and lack of morals, they probably aren't open-minded about religions that's why it's easy for them to bash it.
