Yea, for those who were in the chat. YES I WAS scared last night. I watched it at 11:45 pm and OMG my friend was sitting a seat away from me and then his friend (who's my sister's friend) was all making fun of me afterwards becuase I was screaming hahah!

Let's just say that EVEN though the scary parts have all that suspense and eerie music playing.. there are parts where you DON'T EVEN KNOW when the ghost is going to pop up. It's a sad story, yet scary at the same time. *sigh* It's soo sad =(

I came home at 3 am this morning and I am still scared now If I ever saw it again 3 more times.. I'd still be screaming.

Even though I knew exactly what to expect (I've seen all the Ju-On movies), I still was pleasantly scared.
I hope they remake the second one, which IMO is better.

i saw it & i think its better then the ring or whatnot .. i think if there was no sequel it wouldnt be a good movie, but since there is its a decent 'horror movie' cuz its not just a psycho killer running around stabbing everyone. theres a story behind it. so yea, i liked it but it scared the piss outta me at parts

yea it reminded me of the ring also with the girl with the long hair and she's crawling and stuff, it was waayy much scarier than the ring though. it was kinda confusing with all the flashbacks and stuff. i can't wait to see the second one so i can actually understand was happened. it was fun to watch though

Ju-On is way scarier. Its the same with Ringu or the ring. well.. coming from singapore, i've seen those movies and the hollywood remakes cant be compared to it.


the way the stories are done, its deeply rooted with the asian culture of.. supernatural happenings. so hollywood can't really re-create that atmosphere of fear.

the only time i was like close to be scared in The Grudge was when the girl is fighing the girl and she was trying to lit the thing on fire and she did and turned and opened the door and she came out through the door.. i was no expecting that but the movie was very predictable (or maybe i got good ESP;precognition)

but after that.. it was okay.

in the part where the girl walked into the clinic/hospital thing and the guy is asking her questions and she turned around and she had that big tounge.. the guy behind me said "LOOK A MAN'S DREAM GIRL!" i laughed so hard. lol.

like you know why that girl (the murdered mother/wife) makes that sound? her husband violently slashed her throat.

and why does that boy meow?
in the jap version, the boy and the cat were really close, so when the father killed them both, their souls kind of entwined.

My friends said that it sucked, but I had to see it to believe it.
Now, I thought that it would be pretty good, though..
But it was horrible.
I mean, there are some scary movies that will even scare you the day after.
This didn't.
It was stupid, and the Ring was even scarier.
It was only scary cause of the loud music.
