Sleeping, help getting to bed....

pinch.gif Oookk, skool just started again, I have gotten so used to staying up late. Even when I am tired I cant fall asleep till like midnight! Witch isnt good cuz I have to get up at 5:30.

Does n e one have n e tips to getting to bed earlier?

Sorry If someone already posted a topic on this, It is perfectly ok if u wanna close it...

Mm, I had the same problem as you. I recommend you just getting up really really early, so you get sleepy earlier, and like do that for a couple of days. After that sort of start going to bed earlier...

I don't know... I think that's what my mom told me to do.

i used to have that problem every year when i started school..i would "train" myself to wake up earlie tho..starting like 2 weeks before school actually started..but even now in college..my class starts at 8 and i have to wake up at 6..and its about 1120 and im not even CLOSE to tired..soooo..i dunno really..i just learned to deal with it LoL

well.. a couple days before school go to sleep the time u usually do... then no matter what wake up around.. 8 or 9... then at night go to sleep around 10 since u should be tired

OMG!! i have to wake up at 5:30 too! uggh...its freakin hell. im still not used to waking up that early since i started school, which was a month ago.

try to go to bed early and not sleep during the day.

Doing more things during the day usually helps....that way you're tired when it's time to go to bed....lol you could always sing yourself to sleep.....classical music ( soft, no symphonic! ) helps me relax. tongue.gif I just have a hard time getting up.

try not to sleep during the day, and in case it still doesnt work, try to do some exercise and a cool bath before u go to bed!

trust me im good at sleeping

when you get home from school. imedietly (sp?) do your homework. don't wait till like a couple hours later. if you don't have much then wait an hour to do it, if you are loaded with homework. get done right away & don't wait till the last minute. common sense.

wow turkey? amazing. well before the school yr starts, i try sleeping at least one hour earlier each day. then i get used to sleeping early. normally just reading a nice book helps me fall asleep too. and taking medicine. the kinds taht make u drowsy. (darn u benedryl)

I had the same problem when school started for me. But after a week or so it was always easy for me to go to sleep, probably because school is so boring.

that happenes alot...i would either stretch to relax muscles or take a nice hot bath...but dont fall asleep while ur in it!!! biggrin.gif

yea. me too, had the same prob, solution?? my mum told me to just lie down on bed and then withouth noticing u will get sleepy and u dont have to be late.. another.. wake up early so that u can sleep early too.. "early to bed early to rise..." happy.gif

yup i have the same problem too. i get all my homework done early so usually at night im just doing something else and im not tired. um....i try just lying in my bed early and just try to go to sleep while listening to soft music. and do that a couple days. then you should get used to sleeping early.
