just wondering. how many guys here work out. how often. and what are you favorite exercises?

hmm. haha since i don't go to the gym i go "home-made" style haha pushups, pullups, and gotta love them sit ups wink.gif LOL

i'm a grl (yea, we're invading ur privacy but who cares? tongue.gif ) i don't enjoy working out @ all, but i do it 2 stay in shape. i mostly work on my abs(situps, crunches) i despise push-ups cuz i hav no arm muscles :) hm, i use 2 do wall-sits but not so much anymore.

I love working out. It feels great. I used to do push-ups and curl-ups regularly at my house, then our high school has a weight room, so I workout about 8 days a week. My favorite exercises are benching and squatting. shifty.gif

i always forget to work out blink.gif or like im too tired lift weights whistling.gif but i try durin weekdays. i do bicep curls, bench press, and som other crap i dont know what theyre called. i just went to mens health site and copy what the guy was tryin to do happy.gif

there is no need to work out. just eat healthy and just go about your day. you won't get fat...beside if there is a famine fat people will live longer that those that work out till the point of having no fat

yeah i have no time working out.. my gf tells me i've gotten fatter since i started college.. which i think is true.. but does ddr count?? i do a lil push ups and sit ups here and there..

hmm... well i dont work out, but colorgaurd practice twice a week for 2 hours each does a good job for me. and p.e's every week or every other week cross country and mile runs do me well too, along with running outside my apt complex every week. ^^ if im especially hyper, i'll do alot of crunches for fun and to get abs, but i doubt it'll ever happen. the best i ever got was a 4 pack, but i lost it already sad.gif keke BOOYAH gurls takin over~ laugh.gif

hmm ima usually too lazy to workout. the onlee thing i do is jog around the block a few times or get on tread mill fo 30min. i onlee do taht so i can get in shape for track

LOL, I found that cute.

It's true you don't "workout", but all those aerobic excersises keeps most of the fat off.

weight resistance training is the best. cant argue with that.

sit ups and push ups are best for upper body strength

my daily routine is.

1)stretches
2) push ups, do as much as you can, then stop for 20 seconds, then repeat again and again.
3)sit ups. same routine as pushups.
4)pushups.
5)situps
6)dunno word for it..you crouch, and jump up and down. awsome for leg muscle developing.
7)i do handstands for as long as i can. ( doesnt really help, but, im practicing for...something... :) )

if you do those every day, youll get buffed up.

i assume uve been doin that everyday since...i dont know months. so is ur theory proven u wrong? u dont get buffed just by doin those. no matter how hard u try even if u work out and lift weights everyday 4 an hour, but if ur diet is not balanced then all that hard work is nothin...im not tryin to be offensive if u think i am

well, as for me, i've been doing push-ups and crunches everday before i went to sleep from 4th grade to 7th grade, and i've gotten pretty buffed up. really.
but maybe that's just me

But I can't get bigger and it's frustrating. trying to eat all the Protien I can and I work out, but dunno what wrong? Maybe it's just being asian? i dunno~

yea prolly. even if u have that diet goin on, regular routines every week, good hrs of sleep, and plenty of H20 but if ur meant to be skinny, ur gonna stay that way 4 the rest of ur life. i dont think u can drastically alter ur genes so...

8 days a week, huh.......that's interesting. i just work out either at the lifetime fitness center....(a fitness center) or at the weight room at school...and i go 3 times a week....7 days...not 8......just a reminder.

haha i used to take tae kwon do and that kept me in shape i also did pushups and situps at home. and now i'm in track haha i had a pretty good 6 pack but now it's not that visible anymore haha cry.gif

I need to find a way to get my bf to work out. He's not fat, he's sort of skinny, in some ways (legs, wrist, chest) and he's just like "whatever.." How do you all get the inspiration to do it? (This question goes out to KrnxSwat for his body building) I want my bf to have abs, lol, instead of being thing and whatever >_<" hahas and also, Kryogenix.... MY BF HAS Finger Muscles too! You guys should have a finger/arm wrestle contest! That would be the shizznitz! (yes, I said shizznitz =P)

I PLAY NO SPORT! lol. I'm one of the laziest people (physical-wise) people I know. I'm trying to stop it though. I want to play Badminton, but I have to get used to running.. WHICH TAKES ME 15 MINUTES TO RUN A MILE! becuase I run as much as I can, walk, then run again. Anyhow, wow, wish I had some muscles, but not like rock hard ones, just some so that I have some strenth =)

Hm, i'm not so much of the arm muscles, but more of abs person. OMG! i don't like women-body builders, no offense but i just don't think it looks as nice on a girl as on a guy. perhaps it's just because i'm a grl, but ehhh. i don't wanna 6pack, or a 4pack, lol, i just want it to look toned!

HAHA lols cloud, i agree with you on the muscular woman part. i dont want to look all like... ms. muscle arnold wannabe person. i mean, but iw ant to keep my abs right. like i want a 4 pack cause it looks like i am skiiny and like toned. but of course, i'll have to work on it.

as for my arms, its just like NOt flabbery. dont get me wrong, its not like BOOMBOOMBOOM like guys with awl their muscles. just the main muscle (i forgot wats it called...) is visible wen i do the flex thingy. the line is... distinct xP. hahaha

you should see my P.E teacher... she's a woman... and dang... volleyball has made her into macho woman tongue.gif she can be so scary at times...

My parents bought me a gym set for my birthday so it helped me greatly build up some muscle.

Anyway heres my schedule. For the most part I try to do this all before school in the morning. It alternates into two kinds of week

Week A
Monday - Upper body
*Triceps pushdown
*Butterfly
*Bicep curl ups
*Bench Press

Tuesday
Going outside and just running around my town.
for about 30mins at a good pace and aiming for 3 miles a day

Wednesday - Lower body
I basically dont know what the lower body ones are called but they work out the abs and duh the legs. My least favorite things to do.

Thursday
Same as Tues

Friday
Same as monday

Saturday
Same as Tues


Week B

Monday - Lower body

Tuesday - Runnin around

Weds - Upper Body

Thurs - Running around

Friday - Lower body

Sat - Running around

So it alternates from week a an b.


Anyway..... Instead of running around im saving up for a new bike, cause the only bike we got is my dads and its too high for me. But im planning to increase the distance i run on saturdays cause im gonna join my friend who does SRLA (students run Los Angeles) where they just did the L.A. Marathon... 26.2 miles daaayyuuummnn. If I tried doing 26.2 miles right now... no way I would finish. After 10-15 miles Ill prolly just die.

i workout too .. i have weight benches and all at home .. i'll do some weight lifting to tone up my arms and abs .. i do crunches, push ups, and i run ..

isn't there 2 muscles in ur arms? bicep and triceps....yea i think so. lol, yea, when i flex, u can c a "distinct" line as well, but it's not very big tongue.gif

Have you ever seen those hardcore volleyball players? their legs are HUGE! it's kinda gross. mostly because when they play, their in a "wall-sit" sorta position. omg, i played volleyball for 3 hours once, it hurts sooooo bad afterwards! i'm not use 2 it @ all!

It depends on how much fat you got. If your naturally skinny to the bone you either alrdy got abs or it shouldnt take that long maybe 4-5 months if you do situps everyday increasing it as you get stronger.

Using weights also helps... and adding protein supplements, good sleep, and diet.

But if your into sports... tennis and kayacking or both good things to do. They excercise the abs tremendously.

havent had the chance to work out at a gym lately, but i have a system at home that works pretty well. i do cycles where one cycle is 80 crunches, 25 pushups, 10 curls (at 30 lbs), and 10 fly-thingies on a machine ive got. that way i'm alternating muscles so i don't need to take rests and i can just repeat the cycle straight through five times. i try to workout 4-5 times a week and up each workout each week (90 crunches, 30 pushups, etc.). everybody tells me that the best way to increase muscle mass is to increase weight... it's a good tip to go by

I used to work out at this Recreation Hall at my school, mostly on the treadmill to get a good heart workout, but then I stopped going because I had too much studying to do. Then when my time freed up, I still didn't go because I was discouraged; it smells like armpit there. sick.gif

So then, are there any specific exercises you can do at home that'll burn that layer of fat like that *snap*?

everyweek... I like doing squats but i do alot of exercises... the most hated workout is preacher curls...

hmmm work outs....i work out almost daily...or when ever possible....i do mostly upper body work because im a Linemen....usually i use the bench(210)...then Hammer(25 each arm)....then medicine ball tossin it back an for with my friend jon that spots me...the med ball is 35...then on other days i do squats(200)...then calf lifts...340......and thigh lifts....335...and then there is running and i swim if possible

I kno someone mentioned that pushups and crunches are the best for upper body strength... but wuts the best/easiest excersize that'll make you look all buffed up?

if you go to the weight room and do really heavy weights for about 20 reps... it buffs you up. b/c toning and buffing up are really different, it's weird

i love working out. especially in the morning before school... i wake up at around 4am and go to the gym for about an hour or so. it gives you a really great start to your day laugh.gif

i have to work out cuz in school im in atlethic and when any sport tat we signed up and it is the season we have to do weight, run ,etc but when we are offseason we just wrestsel, play basketball,do ramdom things as long it works out our body rolleyes.gif

I work out everyday. Mon-Fri at 2:30PM. Sat-Sun at World Gym. I also work out at home too. I'm always working out...even when I'm on the computer. I like benching, curling, hammer press, and cleans. I HATE SQUATING. It kills my back even if I do it right.

oh, I work mostly upperbody. I don't work on my lowerbody because I'm afraid it might stunt my leg's growth. Am I wrong?

i try to go to the gym 4 times a week. the thing is, im like the skinniest guy in my school and im trying to gain weight. everyone thinks im weak and then i beat them in arm wrestling and they get embarassed lol i love it
i like bench (chest), pullups (back), and curls (biceps)

usually go running everyday and then workout after. just situps benching and curling. sometimes i get some leg excersises in as well.
