Dang, thats a tuff one. Kayne is really great on his beats and rapping and stuff. So far pplz think MA$E and Kanye r good rappers. Ma$e is okay.. I got his NEW CD and its iight, i didnt like all the tracks. Kayne and Twista r good rappers. Nas is also good 2. Rap is very complicated, lol, so i dont rlly rank rappers. I'll just say Kanye, Twista, Nas, and MA$E r good rappers (not ranked)

Some people posted legit answers. Kanye West is an average rapper but his beats can get you pumped up (but it looks like people are drying him up like a washcloth) .And btw, Nate Dogg isn't a rapper
![]() It's pretty difficult to choose just one. But now, I'm in the mood to listen to Masta Ace. I'm listening to both Disposable Arts and A Long, Hot Summer. He's legit. |

Rewind wasn't that original IMO... honestly, Pharoahe Monch's verse in Stray Bullet was so much more original and more dope... I Can was garbage IMO and not because he's soft... and get the f*ck outta here about Kanye making songs like that because Nas... Kanye got his style off Talib Kweli... even if you listen to Kanye's album, he says Talib's helped 'em out the most outta any rapper... do you not remember Kanye producing the two dopest tracks off Quality!?!?! Talib murders Nas and he's SOO SOOOOOOOOOO more conscious... Nas is fake as f*ck as well... he talks all this bullsh*t about Africa 'n sh*t but he never even goes there... Talib goes there every year, to the conferences, and gives and raises up money to give to poor people... seriously, you gotta major bias cuz I can see in the avatar who you like... he ain't the dopest or even close to it Nas's verse on NY State of Mind is garbage... c'mon... and Nas ain't Eminem's idol.... that's just ignorant... you're truly truly retarded... Em's been rhyming before he even heard of Nas du'... LL Cool J, Redman, and Tupac are his major idols with the influence of Rakim, Kool G Rap, and more in the rhyming area.... NAS in NEW YORK STATE OF MIND Rappers I monkey flip 'em with the funky rhythm I be kickin Musician, inflictin composition of pain I'm like Scarface sniffin cocaine Holdin a M-16, see with the pen I'm extreme, now Bulletholes left in my peepholes I'm suited up in street clothes Hand me a nine and I'll defeat foes Y'all know my steelo with or without the airplay I keep some E&J, sittin bent up in the stairway Or either on the corner bettin Grants with the celo champs Laughin at baseheads, tryin to sell some broken amps G-Packs get off quick, forever niggaz talk sh*t Remeniscing about the last time the Task Force flipped Niggaz be runnin through the block shootin Time to start the revolution, catch a body head for Houston Once they caught us off guard, the Mac-10 was in the grass and I ran like a cheetah with thoughts of an assassin Pick the Mac up, told brothers, "Back up," the Mac spit Lead was hittin niggaz one ran, I made him backflip Heard a few chicks scream my arm shook, couldn't look Gave another squeeze heard it click yo, my sh*t is stuck Try to cock it, it wouldn't shoot now I'm in danger Finally pulled it back and saw three bullets caught up in the chamber So now I'm jetting to the building lobby and it was filled with children probably couldn't see as high as I be (So whatchu sayin?) It's like the game ain't the same Got younger niggaz pullin the triggers bringing fame to they name and claim some corners, crews without guns are goners In broad daylight, stickup kids, they run up on us Fo'-fives and gauges, Macs in fact Same niggaz'll catch a back to back, snatchin yo' cracks in black There was a snitch on the block gettin niggaz knocked So hold your stash until the coke price drop I know this crackhead, who said she gotta smoke nice rock And if it's good she'll bring ya customers in measuring pots, but yo You gotta slide on a vacation Inside information keeps large niggaz erasin and they wives basin It drops deep as it does in my breath I never sleep, cause sleep is the cousin of death Beyond the walls of intelligence, life is defined I think of crime when I'm in a New York state of mind EMINEM's 313 So what, you know about a sweet MC, in the 313 You don't know sh*t so when you see one flee You can be Run-D, you'll never be the MC I'll stop the alphabet at S and got it down to a T I'm sure your bound to agree, a sweet MC crashes the spot I'll make the roof hot like I was Rock Master Scott Your ass forgot, so just in case you don't remember me I'll run your brain around the block to jog your f**king memory It's either them or me man, kill or be killed You will and be sealed your casket closed you still gonna be billed My facilities filled with fans, packed to capacity I'll send a rapper back with the crack of his ass sh*tty If he's acting soft and he cowers He better come cleaner then Jay Rue jacking off when he showers You flowers got no clout with a thing You could date a stick of dynamite and wouldn't go out with a bang I showered the slang, simple as A,B,C's Skip over the D's and rock the microphone with E's Dethrone MC's and I'ma max alone Relax your dome like a solo from a saxophone So facts are known, writers get treated with shocks I rock a beat harder then you could beat it with rocks I'm greeted with flocks, of fellow follower's singers You couldn't make the fans throw up their hands if they swallowed their fingers But you can bring yours let's see what you got But don't front and never try to be what you're not Cause you can be quick, jump the candlestick, burn your back And f*ck Jill on a hill, but you still ain't Jack you know how many quotables are in Em's 313 verse? you probably don't even understand half of 'em, dass why you're talkin' nonsense.... and anyway, when the f*ck did Nas diss Em!?!?! Nas is cool wit Em du'... Em produced a track for Em on God's Son... a track that Em wanted to be on REALLY BADLY but Nas didn't let it happen: rumors are he was shook of gettin' outshined like Hov... anyway, back to the point... Nas never went at Em to my knowledge... they were even at Detroit's hip hop convention together, sitting next to each other just last year... seriously, you don't know what'chu talkin' about |

Here, I posted a song by Talib Kweli for anyone that has yet to hear a song by him.... this one's actually produced by Kanye West and it's called Lonely People... listen to his lyrics and the depth of each thought and line... left click and download it...
http://s4.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=9F0340EA...90A377768BA5D9C and leave feedback for the people that are closed minded and won't give new music a chance......... OH YEAH, AND THIS SONG SHITS ALL OVER ANY SONG NAS HAS EVER MADE... KWELI HAS 2 CLASSICS, ONE NEAR CLASSIC, AND BEAUTIFUL STRUGGLE'S GOIN' TO BE HIS THIRD CLASSIC (I'VE HAD THE ADVANCE SINCE JANUARY AND IT'S MASTERFUL)......... that's 3 classics and one near classic in four albums... Blackstar, Reflection Eternal, Quality, and Beautiful Struggle... support the cause and cop his album at the end of this month!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

C'mon people, I've said this before, why comment in a thread when you don't like or care about what the topic's about?
The way Eminem was rapping during his Infinite days was similar to Nas's Illmatic days, which is wyy some people claimed that Eminem was biting Nas and also Jay-Z on Reasonable Doubt. Just some info. Now I'm listening to a bunch of Immortal Technique tracks. He's also an awesome MC. PEN, I've heard good remarks about Vakill. Do you have on any suggestions to what songs I should hear from him? |

holy sh*t you are retarded. if you need some refreshing nas called em a corporate sl*t on hot 97. so shut the f*ck up. and to quote another member
QUOTE not everyone is as stupid or gittish as you think they are. Stop being so ignorant this is nas's exact quote on hot 97 QUOTE Shady is just the corporate slut from the suburbs that Interscope used to steal our music. He's nothin but a tool, not to knock his rhymes, but he's a tool. ill even send you a link if you still think im lying. i dunno maybe im a d/rider but at least im not a complete hater. and also nas listed nas and jay as two rappers that he idolizes back on 2002. ill try to find a link for you aswell and you really stupid if you think nas hasnt made a song better then "lonely people". QUOTE Rewind wasn't that original IMO Fair statement. But name one song like that before that song dropped. as for vakill, listen to Til the World Blows Up that songs pretty hot or get his album the darkest cloud. |

Now I'm listening to a bunch of Immortal Technique tracks. He's also an awesome MC. PEN, I've heard good remarks about Vakill. Do you have on any suggestions to what songs I should hear from him? VAKILL IS SICK!!!!!!!!!! he said some line (not word for word) like: "Put F.U.N. on my d*ck for f*ck you ni99as / then I'ma go poke fun at ya b*tch!" LMAO Sickplicity is that song he says that in... peep the two songs he did with Juice cuz he ripped the sh*t outta 'em... Urban Legends and Out the Speakers... those three songs are classics... Fallen with Slug is another classic... A BRILLIANTLY told story-telling song with a twist at the end.... Vakill's one of the dopest PERIOD... one of the best punchline spitters but he's versatile, unlike most punch guys that shiss hilarious!!!!! and Em's style is nothing like Nas's in my opinion... it was more like AZ flow/delivery with Kool G Rap/Rakim/his own style on Infinite, Em's syllable rhyming is as good as it can get... Nas's syllable rhyming ain't that dope... it's actually almost nonexistent QUOTE holy sh*t you are retarded. if you need some refreshing nas called em a corporate sl*t on hot 97. so shut the f*ck up. and to quote another member this is nas's exact quote on hot 97 ill even send you a link if you still think im lying. i dunno maybe im a d/rider but at least im not a complete hater. and also nas listed nas and jay as two rappers that he idolizes back on 2002. ill try to find a link for you aswell and you really stupid if you think nas hasnt made a song better then "lonely people". Em produced The Cross or whatever song it was... actually was wack... but regardless, and search google.com... Em and Nas were at the Detroit Hip Hop Summit in 2003... that would make Nas a hypocrite... and I ain't a hater... you're a dickrider... I don't hate, I have reasons to prove why he's overrated... all he's really supposedly great at is story telling and visual rhyming but anyone rhyming 1 syllable rhymes can do that... basic ass lyricist... SO YOU NEED TA SHUT THE F*CK UP cuz you ain't know sh*t ABOUT MCing/LYRICISM/bein' a dope rapper Nas hasn't EVER MADE A SONG AS DOPE AS LONELY PEOPLE... Talib sh*t's on 'em... that's not the only song... the song about Love on reflection Eternal shits on anything Nas has EVER MADE AS WELL.... |

I don't listen to a lot of radio rap now a days, cause they always talk about the same stuff (smokin weed, f**en women, shootin guns, ect). Z-ro, k-rino and Scarface are my all time favorites, but if I had to choose from one of them I would say Z-ro the crooked.

Why are you posting up some of Nas' worst lyrics? Nas is still a great lyricist and rapper nonetheless. How about posting some of his better lyrics from Illmatic?
And puhleeze! You shouldn't even compare Lloyd Banks to Nas... |

FIRST, lemme school you... Banks was more than semi-hot before 50's album... Banks was one of the MC's prone to takeover hip hop at the time... he was one of the highest prospects at the time and was all over the mixtape scene... he won mixtape artist of the year at the mixtape awards the same year 50 was killing the mixtapes (this was before Get Rich or Die Trying came out) Stillmatic wasn't that dope... a handful of hot songs and the rest were wack... and I'm not a Em d*ckrider, you're just a Nas d*ckrider and if I say anyone was doper than Nas, you'd say I was on their nuts... God's Son was garbage.... his lyrics are average at best... some of his beats are dope, I ain't gon' front ONCE IN A WHILE, he'll come with a semi-dope verse Ether wasn't even as good of a diss track as people turn it into... it was full of fillers... Hov ripped du' in Takeover and Blueprint 2 (the song)... if Hov hadn't put out Super Ugly, it woulda been THAT MUCH MORE EVIDENT that he murdered Nas... everybody compared Super Ugly to Ether but Takeover was 100x better than Ether... it was all factuals compared to Nas's assumptions and attempts at bein' funny... (I admit, a few lines were funny though)... anyway, Hov broke down Nas's entire career perfectly... and at the time, I wasn't even feelin' Hov because he had fell off hard after Volume 1/2 so I wasn't favoring either... Hov brought his career back to life after Blueprint (great album)... Blueprint 2 was sick as hell as well (ESPECIALLY MEET THE PARENTS) and Black Album was a classic IMO... anyway, back to the point... Nas had too many fillers in Ether... I hope you know what a filler is... anyway... Nas ain't half the lyricist Em is... honestly, Banks has the lyrical stuff down better than Nas too but he's not a better artist because he doesn't have the skill to make a great album/song (not that Nas has since It Was Written)... Banks syllable rhyming and rhyme schemes are more developed than Nas's... his story telling lacks to Nas but it's harder to tell a story with more syllable rhyming (which Nas doesn't do well - he's trash at it), his punchlines/metaphors are better (back in the day - not now), Nas wins in the concepts... anyway, regardless, I rather listen to Banks spittin: I got a intergangstress who argue and steams wit reefer And who flip when I call a b*tch like she Queen Latifah Not all the vehicle's is long enough to stash the streetsweeper This sh*t can get uglier than the Master P sneaker We slidin through the ruckus, wit prada on the chuckus Soon as spring break ho's home from college wanna f*ck us I ain't here to drop knowledge on you suckas I'll sick rottweiler's on you fuckas, cops followin to cuff us Top dollars to discuss this, whole lotta zeros When it comes to paper I blow a soul outta aero I'ma break before I lay floor berry Besides, every rapper ain't a star, nigga plad ain't bulbary You can't tame Lloyd, smokin by the big screen You changin the channel looks like I'm playin the game boy I know to watch botherin ya vision You reach and I'll put a dot on ya head like its part of yo religion Why party wit a pigeon? I'm blowin a 10 cuz Bush handin flyers for a party in a prison I'm in the gucci vest wit the green and red straps I'm the last rapper to scare niggas since Craig Mack Now every morning's a fast start And there aint problem gettin dressed cuz my closet got more aisles than pathmark Run, move startin a wave and leave wit 12 shells in ya mouth like a carton of eggs I'm the young pimp pardon my age I don't got long hair but if I did she be partin' my braids Niggas find what club they at take 'em wit us, and run a train on 'em like a subway mac get advances from grey acura see these record labels got most artists gettin f**ked like the gay rappa' i go the college on the tour I'm goin down in history nigga, next to Wallace and Shakur I keep ya ammo clean, text polished in the drawer Camera's by the hamper that mine into the floor by now, you probably heard of me fresh outta surgery, flashy as a f*ck, you gon' have to murder me Burglary, I'm leavin wit cha nike's bergendy, White T, bergendy you match now, back down niggas love to hate you, but love you when you disappear catch me on the boat wit weed smoke and fishing gear heavy when I toke, C notes from different years Besly in the robe, re-motes for liftin chairs You ain't rich, but we glad to snatch ya I send cars to crib like I'm a cab dispatcha you better off wit ya stupid guys, lookin for a coupe to drive you ain't gettin nuttin but ya french fries supersized it's a damn shame y'all still local I'm in a million dollar studio layin my vocals than anything Nas has spit in the last 5 years oh, that's also at the girl that said: QUOTE Why are you posting up some of Nas' worst lyrics? Nas is still a great lyricist and rapper nonetheless. How about posting some of his better lyrics from Illmatic? And puhleeze! You shouldn't even compare Lloyd Banks to Nas... puhleeze!!! Nas ain't a great lyricist... you keep claiming that but you don't even know the components of what makes a great lyricist... you would never EVER understand.... and Nas doesn't have better lyrics... LMAO... *sike* but as I said, I rather listen to anything by Banks before Get Rich or Die Trying over anything by Nas SINCE IT WAS WRITTEN which is past Illmatic time... and honestly, lyrically, ALL THE LYRICAL ELEMENTS, Nas was average-to-good then... he was just claimed so masterful then because at the time, it was somethin' new and at the time, lyrically, it was dope... but his style is basic as hell compared to certain guys of today... ONCE AGAIN.... COPYWRITE, CROOKED I, VAKILL, PHAROAHE MONCH, TALIB KWELI, MOS DEF, RAKIM, COMMON, KOOL G RAP, BIG PUN, BIG L, EMINEM, ROYCE DA 5'9, EYEDEA, IMMORTAL TECHNIQUE, AND EVEN HOV ALL sh*t ON NAS.... ONCE AGAIN, GET SMART AND THEN COME TO ME............ YA'LL SERIOUSLY DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT MAKES A DOPE MC AS IN THE LYRICAL STANDARDS... YOU JUST THINK IF WHAT HE SAYS IS DOPE THEN HE'S DOPE... ONCE AGAIN, AS FOR REALISM, NAS AIN'T EVEN REAL.... HE GOT COMPLETELY EXPOSED IN THE LAST 4 YEARS.... AND THERE'S EVEN MORE MC'S I COULD NAME THAT ARE DOPER BUT THAT'S IT FOR NOW.... FOR THE IGNORANT PEOPLE THAT SWEAR THEY UNDERSTAND WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A GOOD MC, YA'LL ARE TRULY RETARDED... LEARN SOMETHIN' ABOUT LYRICISM AND THEN COME BACK TO ME.... PayCe ~1~ OH, LAST THING... FOR TOPHEAVY... you really wanna pop sh*t about Lloyd Banks and you have Kanye West on that Milkshake beat on your Xanga!?!?! LMAO... anyway, Banks is a MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH better lyricist than Kanye West... Kanye ain't bad though, I actually like 'em a lot more as an artist than Banks cuz he actually talks about relevant issues and is my favorite producer (I'ma work wit 'em one day - watch!) ... anyway, once again, you tryn' diss Banks and have Kanye on that sh*t!?!?! I could even understand if it was one of Kanye's dope tracks but that sh*t is literally ASS!!! LMAO anyway, iss all love |

look ether was partially untrue, but the majority is truth. look.
on the song december 4th he mentions a cat named dehaven,as the cat who put him in the drug game well the truth is ,dehaven did more than that for Jay,he also took a bullet for Jay an did a bid for Jay,Dehaven was a live thug cat who was getting money out of town an he put hove on........hove went into the game without all that nickle a dimeing bullsh1,he went straight to making real money in the game. Hove used to always have a pen and a pad an he would write about everything he saw in the projects .he used to get clowned cause when he an his boys used to go to the store hove would always buy a pen a pad.he was always writing. Its a joke about he never writes stuff down. Jay was huge fan of nas an would always talk about this ill cat from Queens bridge(nas).Jay was a battle mc to the fullest, everything you think canibus an supernat are.Jay is the same way.....all he would do is battle cats in the early 90s but he did not feel he was ready for nas during the early 90s but he was sure BIG was ready for nas.Yall ever notice how JZ an LL have never done a song together or tour together.Remeber when bis was like from ice t to kool moe D to jay Z.........well Jay was in a talent show an the judges were DMC an LL..Jay lost but was clearly the nicest..so he an his crew were heated, later on LL came out an was like yo you real ill I can get you signed to defjam but jay man was like f--- that you aint vote for my man in the contest so f--- you an then Jay was like yo I know im nice so fukk you, then him an ll got into an argument..mind you Jay had no music out during this period so ll was like that is why you aint never gone blow. Its seems LL an Jay have never forgotten that episode. like for instance ether was all true except for Jay age,Jaz o told nas all that info.remeber when nas said hanging with little chase, well chase is a short cat from marcy who Jay used to follow around back in the days. Jaz O told alot of dirt on hov that nas did not even use but you notice how nas mentioned Jaz names 4 seperate times in the song?. read it. |

Nas and Pac nor Big deserve to be in a list of MC's like that... those MC's would all sh*t on all three.....
Big and Pac are the two most overrated rappers of all time... Nas is up there in the top 5... Nas ain't even close to one of the GOAT's yes, one GREAT album and one really good one... then trash from that point on.... Big and Pac are two of the most influential ever but they ain't the greatest ever or even close to it... had none of the lyrical sh*t down.... HERE WE GO... lemme break down Ether: Brace yourself for the main event Y'all impatiently waitin It's like an AIDS test, what's the results? Not positive, who's the best? Pac, Nas and Big - ALL FILLERS Ain't no best, East, West, North, South, flossed out, greedy I embrace y'all with napalm Blows up, no guts, left chest, face gone How could Nas be garbage? Semi-autos at your cartilege why the f*ck is he talkin' about shootin' up Roc-a-fella artist when he knows he ain't no thug... fake sh*t... more fillers Burner at the side of your dome, come outta my throne I got this, locked since '9-1 I am the truest, name a rapper that I ain't influenced Gave y'all chapters but now I keep my eyes on the Judas dope dope line, unless you know anything 'bout God/Jesus then wouldn't understand but that's dope With Hawaiin Sophie fame, kept my name in his music I've been f**ked over, left for dead, dissed and fogotten Luck ran out, they hoped that I'd be gone, stiff and rotten Y'all just piss on me, sh*t on me, spit on my grave (uh) Talk about me, laugh behind my back but in my face Y'all some well wishin (bitches), friendly actin envy hidin snakes With your hands out for my money, man, how much can I take? When these streets keep callin, heard it when I was sleep That this Gay-Z and Cockafella Records wanted beef that sh*t was so lazy and childish... c'mon Nas, that's the best you can do??????? Started cockin up my weapon, slowly loadin up this ammo To explode it on a camel, and his soldiers, I can handle This for dolo and his manuscript just sound stupid When KRS already made an album called "Blueprint" that's stupid as well... lame diss cuz you know how many people have albums with the same name or very similar??? First, Biggie's ya man, then you got the nerve to say that you better than Big d*ck suckin lips, whyn't you let the late, great veteran live Hov never even said he's better than Big... he said: "IF I'M NOT DOPER THAN BIG, I'M THE CLOSEST ONE...." that's the line he's talkin' about.... that's just sayin' he's second best (he ain't though) Y'all niggas deal with emotions like bitches What's sad is I love you 'cause you're my brother You traded your soul for riches [b]dope... liked that sh*t f'real f'real My child, I've watched you grow up to be famous And now I smile like a proud dad, watchin his only son that made it You seem to be only concerned with dissin women Were you abused as a child, scared to smile, they called you ugly? Well life is harsh, hug me, don't reject me dope or make records to disrespect me, blatant or indirectly In '88 you was gettin chased through your buildin Callin my crib and I ain't even give you my numbers All I did was gave you a style for you to run with that was lazy... he acts like Hov wasn't rappin' before he heard of Nas... and also, another thing, even if he did, that's like sayin' Nas bit Rakim cuz his style was similar, to a level, as his Smilin in my face, glad to break bread with the god Wearin Jaz chains, no tecs, no cash, no cars No jail bars Jigga, no pies, no case Just Hawaiian shirts, hangin with little Chase You a fan, a phony, a fake, a p*ssy, a Stan I still whip your ass, you thirty-six in a karate classage was wrong and the last several bars were fillers.... and Hov ain't even in a Karate class... he wasn't tryna diss Hov, he was playin' a immature namecalling game... it's lazy and it's fillers You Tae-bo hoe, tryna' work it out, you tryna' get brolic? Ask me if I'm tryna' kick knowledge Nah, I'm tryna' kick the sh*t you need to learn though That ether, that sh*t that make your soul burn slowmore lazy lines Is he Dame Diddy, Dame Daddy or Dame Dummy? And now y'all try to take my spot, fellas? Philly's hot rock fellas, put you in a dry spot, fellas In a pine box with nine shots from my glock, fellas Foxy got you hot 'cause you kept your face in her puss What you think, you gettin girls now 'cause of your looks?dope Ne-gro please You no mustache havin, with whiskers like a rat Compared to Beans you wackretarded And your man stabbed Un and made you take the blame You ass, went from Jaz to hangin with Kane, to Irv, to Big And, Eminem murdered you on your own sh*tthat hit hard You a d*ck-ridin faggot, you love the attention Queens niggas run you niggas, ask Russell Simmons Ha, R-O-C get gunned up and clapped quick J.J. Wanted to be on every last one of my classics You pop sh*t, apologize, nigga, just ask Kiss it's a overrated diss track... everyone tryn' compare it to a great diss track... it honestly ain't... it's too many fillers... Hov murdered 'em.... peep his two disses that are doper than anything Nas said in the entire beef: I know you missin all the - FAAAAAAAME! But along with celebrity comes bout seventy shots to your frame Nigga; you a - LAAAAAAAME! lazy but it was funny... i had to laugh the first time I heard it Youse the fag model for Karl Kani/Esco ads Went from, Nasty Nas to Esco's trash Had a spark when you started but now you're just garbage Fell from top ten to not mentioned at all to your bodyguard's "Oochie Wally" verse better than yours DAMN!!!! those bars hit hard as f*ck Matter fact you had the worst flow on the whole f**kin song but I know - the sun don't shine, then son don't shineLMAO That's why your - LAAAAAAAME! - career come to a end There's only so long fake thugs can pretend Nigga; you ain't live it you witnessed it from your folks pad You scribbled in your notepad and created your lifeDAMN... all factuals... see the difference between him 'n Nas... 'n he completely played Nas because even Nas knows this is true... he was never a thug/gangsta or sold crack or nuttin'; though he tried to portray that image early in his career I showed you your first tec on tour with Large Professor (Me, that's who!) Then I heard your album bout your tec on the dresserLMAO... perfectly setup and hard hittin' as f*ck again So yeah I sampled your voice, you was usin it wrong You made it a hot line, I made it a hot songmore of the sickness And you ain't get a coin nigga you was gettin f**ked and I know who I paid God, Serchlite Publishing Use your - BRAAAAAAAIN! I can divide That's one every let's say two, two of them shits was due One was - NAHHH, the other was "Illmatic" That's a one hot album every ten year averageIT WAS OVER AT THIS POINT... SO SO SO SO SOOOO SICK.... BROKE DOWN HIS ENTIRE CAREER... I WAS LIKE "HOLY sh*t!" And that's so - LAAAAAAAME! Nigga switch up your flow Your sh*t is garbage, but you try and kick knowledge? (Get the f*ck outta here) You niggaz gon' learn to respect the king Don't be the next contestant on that Summer Jam screen Because you know who (who) did you know what (what) with you know who (yeah) but just keep that between me and you for nowSICK... more factuals... Every time there's a tragedy, I'm the first one to help They call me this misogynist, but they don't call me the dude To take his dollars to give gifts at the projects These dudes is all politics, depositing checks they put in they pocket, all you get in return is a lot of lip And y'all buy the sh*t, caught up in the hype Cause the nigga wear a coofie, it don't mean that he bright Cause you don't understand him, it don't mean that he nice It just means you don't understand all the bs that he writeLMAO... that sh*t was so muh'f*ckin' SICK!!! damn, the last four bars were sick Is it "Oochie Wally Wally" or is it "One Mic"? Is it "Black Girl Lost" or shorty owe you for ice?damn... I've been real all my life, they confuse it with conceit Since I will not lose, they try to help him cheat But I will not lose, for even in defeat There's a valuable lesson learned, so it evens it up for me When the grass is cut, the snakes will show I gotta thank the little homie Nas for that though Saving me the hassle of speaking to half of these assholes And I'ma let karma catch up to Jaz-O, whoa I'm back before you had a chance to miss me My mama can't save you this time, niggas is history Who you know flow vicious as me? Yet so religiously, that's why they call me Hov I get the spoils cause the victor is me (me, nigga) You're an actor, you're not who you're depicted to be The street dreamin, all y'all niggas living through me I gave you life when niggas was forgetting you emcee I'm a legend, you should take a picture with me You should be happy to be in my presence, I should charge you a fee I'm Big Dog, Glenn Rob, listen God you a flea And the little homey Jungle is a garden to me What's the problem B? You not as hard as me Nigga hard as we, nigga R O C, nigga That's why they follow me, they feel my pain and my agony, nigga I won't rest till you on one knee You want war then it's war's gonna be, nigga Until you on one knee, you want war then it's war's gonna be, nigga THE REST WAS HISTORY... sh*t was dope as f*ck |

Jaz O told alot of dirt on hov that nas did not even use but you notice how nas mentioned Jaz names 4 seperate times in the song? also you didnt mention this part of the song either. Ha, R-O-C get gunned up and clapped quick J.J. Evans get gunned up and clapped quick Your whole damn record label gunned up and clapped quick well, in case you didnt know, the rocafella records was just sold (reportadely). im not saying nas had anyhing to do with it, but it came true in the end didnt it? and you talking about how lloyd banks has better punchlines and sh*t but being a good/great battle rapper does not make you a good rapper period. i mean, look at cassidy. he can kill anyone in a battle but youre not gonna mistake him for a good rapper are you? or jin. he is ill when battling but his songs have been wack lately (except hands off thats pretty hot). i aint saying battle artists cant be good rappers (elliot ness) but im sayin you dont hafta be a good battle rapepr to be a good rapper. nas doesnt even battle. anyways, back to takeover. you didnt post the whole song! you post the whole "ether" which you classified as half fillers. how about you and i listen to takeover. I don't care if you Mobb Deep, I hold triggers to crews You little f*ck, I've got money stacks bigger than you When I was pushin weight, back in eighty-eight you was a ballerina I got your pictures I seen ya Then you dropped "Shook Ones," switch your demeanor Well - we don't believe you, you need more people Roc-A-Fella, students of the game, we passed the classes Nobody could read you dudes like we do Don't let 'em gas you like Jigga is ass and won't clap you Trust me on this one - I'll detach you Mind from spirit, body from soul They'll have to hold a mass, put your body in a hole No, you're not on my level get your brakes tweaked I sold what ya whole album sold in my first week You guys don't want it with Hov' Ask Nas, he don't want it with Hov', nooooo! hmm... that was pretty wack wasnt it... but the "we don't believe you you need more people" always makes me laugh. previous verse please The takeover, the break's over nigga God MC, me, Jay-Hova Hey lil' soldier you ain't ready for war R.O.C. too strong for y'all It's like bringin a knife to a gunfight, pen to a test Your chest in the line of fire witcha thin-ass vest You bringin them Boyz II Men, HOW them boys gon' win? This is grown man B.I., get you rolled in the triage(?) Beatch - your reach ain't long enough, dunny Your peeps ain't strong enough, fucka Roc-A-Fella is the army, better yet the navy Niggaz'll kidnap your babies, spit at your lady We bring - knife to fistfight, kill your drama Uh, we kill you motherf**kin ants with a sledgehammer Don't let me do it to you dunny cause I overdo it So you won't confuse it with just rap music rocafella is the army, better yet the navy... compared to ethers first verses, id say ether > takeover how about the last verses, you kindly put up the last verses of ether, while only putting up the meat of takeover A wise man told me don't argue with fools Cause people from a distance can't tell who is who So stop with that childish sh*t, nigga I'm grown Please leave it alone - don't throw rocks at the throne Do not bark up that tree, that tree will fall on you I don't know why your advisors ain't forewarn you Please, not Jay, he's, not for play I don't slack a minute, all that thug rappin and gimmicks I will end it, all that yappin be finished You are not deep, you made your bed now sleep Don't make me expose to them folks that don't know you Nigga I know you well, all the stolen jew-els Twinkletoes you breakin my heart You can't f*ck with me - go play somewhere, I'm busy And all you other cats throwin shots at Jigga You only get half a bar - f*ck y'all niggaz i dont even to write comments on that verse... but im willing to say, nas won the battle (ether vs takeover) but jay won the war. i got love for both rappers none the less |

This is grown man B.I., get you rolled in the triage(?) Beatch - your reach ain't long enough, dunny Your peeps ain't strong enough, fucka Roc-A-Fella is the army, better yet the navy Niggaz'll kidnap your babies, spit at your lady We bring - knife to fistfight, kill your drama Uh, we kill you motherf**kin ants with a sledgehammer Don't let me do it to you dunny cause I overdo it So you won't confuse it with just rap music rocafella is the army, better yet the navy... compared to ethers first verses, id say ether > takeover how about the last verses, you kindly put up the last verses of ether, while only putting up the meat of takeover A wise man told me don't argue with fools Cause people from a distance can't tell who is who So stop with that childish sh*t, nigga I'm grown Please leave it alone - don't throw rocks at the throne Do not bark up that tree, that tree will fall on you I don't know why your advisors ain't forewarn you Please, not Jay, he's, not for play I don't slack a minute, all that thug rappin and gimmicks I will end it, all that yappin be finished You are not deep, you made your bed now sleep Don't make me expose to them folks that don't know you Nigga I know you well, all the stolen jew-els Twinkletoes you breakin my heart You can't f*ck with me - go play somewhere, I'm busy And all you other cats throwin shots at Jigga You only get half a bar - f*ck y'all niggaz i dont even to write comments on that verse... but im willing to say, nas won the battle (ether vs takeover) but jay won the war. i got love for both rappers none the less you keep contradicting yourself so you keep making yourself look like a moron... I don't know hip hop but I know all that sh*t about MCing and hip hop and rappers 'n songs from our history and history of rappers careers 'n sh*t.... you still haven't posted a response to Eminem sitting right next to Nas at the Hip Hop Summit in Detroit last year... c'mon, seriously, once again, GET SMART.... and as for the karate class sh*t... it was all fillers and then he tried to throw in a personal but that was a lie... Jay-Z ain't in a karate class nor takes tai bo.... he takes boxing lessons... once again, another lie/attempt at a diss and you try to diss that verse from Takeover but are you serious!?!?! we're judging a battle between Nas and Jay-z... you can't even judge a battle based on that verse cuz that wasn't towards Nas at all... it was towards Prodigy and he just threw in Nas's name at the end in order for 'em to setup the next verse.... AND DUMMY, EVEN THAT OTHER VERSE YOU POSTED... THAT'S NOT EVEN A BATTLE AGAINST NAS... IT WAS THAT ONE VERSE AT THE END THAT WAS COMPLETELY INTENDED AT NAS.... THAT'S LIKE COMPARING A SONG THAT WAS COMPLETELY AIMED AT AN ARTIST TO A GENERIC VERSE OF THE PERSON AIMED AT THAT JUST TALKS ABOUT: "DON'T F*CK WITH ME"... you're seriously retarded for bringin' the other two verses into it... I only judged the disses at each other.... how you gonna judge the part where he's dissin' a completely different rapper while judging a battle between Nas and Jay-Z... LMAO and you tell me I don't know what i'm talkin' about... c'mon kid once again, even the last verse wasn't a diss at Nas directly... it was basically tellin' everyone who didn't like 'em to f*ck off... if you're judging a battle, you gotta judge when they're goin' at each other... your ignorant ass basically did somethin' like goin' to a battle and judging a battle between two cats by judging MC (A)'s verse against another battle he had in the tournament against MC (B)'s verse against MC A... that's just straight up dumb sh*t... c'mon, you can't be that ignorant can you???? |

I think Kanye West is one of the best rappers out there.
I don't know if he's the best though. |

ok doggie i already responded to the nas and em subject, i said nas dissed em on HOT 97 which was true and they might have smoothend things out or something the way nas and puffy smoothed things out. (remember the puff diss on the lost tapes).
nas aint even the GOAT i ain't saying anyone is the GOAT i just say that you dont give nas enough credit. i feel both nas and jay (no homo lol) and they both hot sometimes and complete garbage other times you know? and like common says "There's so many thrones, why we argue who is the king?" ok i aint even going to say anything elseto you cause we obviously believe diffent and thats cool and ill but ill do me and youll do you alright? this was a gay topic BTW, created by some fool that doesnt even know anything about rap. and all you guys who said 50 or chingy or luda was the GOAT, you need to be slapped. and one more thing , F1R3B4T you need to listen to some real rap alright? ok im out |

Wow, Kanye is a horrible lyricist. His beats are good, but his lyrics suck. I can't believe so many people like him. His album is sooooo played out.
And if you think 50, Nelly, and friends and faggots are the best rappers ever don't even post please. I'd have to say the best rapper today is: Talib Kweli. Whoever said Chingy should die. |

But at least his music has meaning which is what separates him from the other mainstream rappers out now. |
