What is the most devastating, tragic event you've ever experienced? If you don't have one, what is the most tragic event someone close to you has experienced?
Here's mine: (it didn't happen to me it happened to my friend lance and casey walker) Lance was about 11 at the time, and Casey was 15 (and he was extremely hot-- at least my little 13 year old self thought so). They had a mom, Terrie Walker, and a father, Robert Walker. One day, Casey got in a fight with his mom, and ran away. That same night, Lance spent the night at his friend Michael's house (ironically, i saw him that day at church with Michael). While they were gone, Robert informed Terrie that he had been fired from his lucrative job with a six figure salary. They got in a fight, and Terrie threatened to leave him. He pulled out a gun and shot her once in the head. Then he called Lance and told him to stay at Michael's house for the next week, if it was okay. Casey was still gone. Over that week while his children were gone, Robert purchased a refridgerator and a blue tarp, and a chainsaw. He then dismembered his wife, and put her in the incinerator in their backyard. He lit it on fire, and began to burn her body. Neighbors reported seeing flames as high as 20 feet that week from his backyard incinerator, and an awful smell. While his wife was roasting to a crisp, he patched up the bullethole in the kitchen and repainted it, while also carefully cleaning up all blood in the house. Finally they caught him and found the remains, and he was arrested. By then Lance and Casey found out what happened, and they had to stay at Michael's house. It was so sad... and at the memorial service (which was held at my church) Lance was crying so much but Casey just sat there. We later found out that Casey was getting into hardcore drugs like heroin and cocaine. Lance was trying to take care of him, even though he was 4 years younger than him. After about three months, they had to move to Iowa (doesn't that suck?) with their aunt. Here's the story online: Aloha Man arrested for murder So share your stories! |

damn thats crazy
well im not sure if this really a applies, but its about my friend "jeff" And its not really an event, its his life . Thats all i could think of. About 8 months ago his dad died (i think he shot himself ), leaving him his mom , and 2 little sisters and a brother in jail. His mom and sister got into a car accident and his youngest sister(the one in the car) died. And then his mom got hooked up heroine. And then later on his brother gets out of jail, but just like "dissapeared" . Then 2 months ago jeff came home from a party drunk and accidently took his moms detox pills and ended up overdosing on them. All is left is his mom and sister . But those events were really tragic 1 after another. I know i was there tryin to help him out till the end heh >< ; . R.I.P. jeff |

That's really, really sad. I've been through a lot of tough stuff in my life and I'd rather not spill out everything right here but if you want to read about a triple murder in my town, here's the link. It's about a women who killed her three kids to get back at her ex-husband (who my dad used to work with). It's really sad and I feel so bad for the little innocent kids.

Lol, you sound so....mellow...haha runned over? haha, that made me laugh. Anyway, my life is tragic. I guess I'll say why. AND NO THIS IS NOT FOR SYMPATHY. So, my life was pretty good up until age 8. I have 7 siblings and when my parents seperated, 8 kids was too much for my mom to handle by herself. So half went to my dad, and half stayed with my mom. Unfortunately, I had to go to my dad's. By then, I was 9. After about two weeks living with my dad, he started to rape me. He raped, beat, and harbutted me everyday for 5 years. He was a big drugee, so he forced me to do drugs. By the time I was 14, I had tried every drug known to man kind. I never told my mom that he did this (and to this day, she still doesnt know) so when I called her when I was 14 and begged her to let me live with her, she said no. I couldnt handle my dad anymore so I just left. Keep in mind that I only had 3 friends at this time because I was a depressed girl who no one wanted to be around. I was living on the streets (yes, I was a hobo) for 2 weeks, when I ran into my best friend Ryan. His parents let me live with them for about 2 1/2 years. When I turned 17, me, ryan, and my friends lindsay and parsons (who were my only friends when I was 14) decided to leave Ohio (where i grew up) and move to Los Angeles. So us 4 came to california and now we live here and we're all happy. And yes, I am 17 living with 3 people who arent my guardians. It's illegal, I know. Yeah, thats my life. |

my best friend lost her father recently on the fourth of july.....some teenagers were being stupid and sticking illegal fireworks into metal like nitrogen canisters and one of the canisters exploded...causing shreds of metal to go flying well one of the pieces of metal hit her dad who was like 60 feet away and it hit one of his major arteries.....and i guess she found out from the news channel cause they called her to ask her questions about the accident....thats a pretty big thing in our town....so ya it was the most tragic thing i have ever witnessed

Aww.
Sad stories.. Well, these haven't happened to me, but to my parents. When my dad was in 3rd or 4th grade, a new kid in his class was murdered by his mom.. she (I think strangled or drowned) both the kid in my dad's class, and his younger brother. I think she then shot herself afterwards. =/ When my mom was about 20, she worked for some.. place (I really don't remember) and she had an employee. He was going hunting for the weekend. He had a wife, 2 kids, 1 dog, and 1 cat. While he was gone, his wife murdered both kids, the dog, the cat, and in return, herself. I don't exactly remember the details, but she killed them by.. er, taking some sort of tube/pipe/whatever from the car, and letting the gas (carbon monoxide) drain from there into their house.. she shut the doors and windows, so the carbon monoxide couldn't escape.. they all died. Jeez, and the guy was out hunting for the weekend. Yeah, I don't exactly have the best details, but I thought those 2 events were pretty tragic.. |

oh boy i'm a lifeless bitch? well if you said i was a HEARTLESS bitch perhaps i would understand, however the only person who resembles "lifeless" in these parts is you. judging from your exorcist picture face. now if you noticed people are saying things about stuff i say, you don't need to try to start shit with me to get them to like you. because trust me buddy, you aren't getting very far and you definetly don't want to mess with me, especially at the rate you're going. anyways though, please shut up, because this is actually a serious thread which i intended it to be, so seriously if you have issues with me take it somewhere else, because this is a thread where people are sharing bad things that happened to them and we really didn't need your dead cat story along with your trip-ass picture. k thanks bye!

Let's see. It was in the 2000, and I was living in Japan when this happened to me. It was during the summer and I was ten years old. See, out of nowhere, I started to feel really weak and tired. I began to lose weight at a pretty abnormal weight and my stomach couldn't handle much of what I ate. Also, I had to keep on using the bathroom and I was always thirsty. At first, my mom thought I was throwing up on purpose to try and lose weight. But for God sakes I was only TEN! She thought I was bulemic. It really hurt my feelings, having known that she thought I'd do such a thing at such a young age.
Well anyway, she scheduled an appointment of September 18, 2000 and by then I was already starting fifth grade. Well, it was that day that I was diagnosed with diabetes type 1. I was only ten and I didn't really know much of what diabetes was. My doctor had me confined in the hospital for two weeks, so he and other doctors could teach more about my condition. There's never been anyone in my family who's ever had diabetes so they I don't even know HOW I got it. Living in Japan didn't exactly make it any easier. There weren't any endocrinologists (doctors specialized in diabetes) on any of the military bases of where we lived. So my dad and I had to go to Hawaii to that big pink hospital to meet some dieticians and even more doctors. By then I knew how to give myself my own insulin shots and prick my finger to test my blood sugar. In Hawaii, I was confined for one week. Then my dad and I were able to return home in Japan. But then because there weren't any doctors for diabetes there, we had to move. It really sucked, thinking that our entire lives had to change because of me. I felt as if it were my fault. And not to mention that everyone at school was asking if it was true that I had diabetes. Once when people kept on asking me I just got upset and started yelling at them to stop. One of my BEST friends just said, "God Sarah, just 'cause you have diabetes now doesn't mean you have to be a bitch." That hurt. So, my family and I moved to California in the south. Right now we're living here in Vegas, Nevada and I'm on the insulin pump. It's another way of getting insulin into my body instead of giving myself shots. Other than that, nothing much has changed. I have to go to the doctor every three months, get my blood tested every three months, and all that. In the past, I've had one seizure, been into the ICU twice, into the ER thrice, and confined over night numerous times. So right now I've had diabetes for a good four years, but I'm still trying to get it all down. Weird to see how one thing can effect your life so much, and you don't even know the cause for it. It really just does suck. But those good days make it worth working through the tough ones. |

yeah cause i have so much? haha darling i've already gotten over insecurities over myself that you must have for yourself. why else would i have myself in a swimsuit as my banner? i've already gotten over the "OH AM I FAT?!" image that girls go through. obviously i'm not fat, and i'm not a goddamn supermodel, but fat is one thing i'm not so seriously stop with your bullshit. i'm sorry i wasn't able to come up with an intelligent response to your post, but you didn't give me much material to work with plus i was too busy figuring out why your face is BLUE. then i realized it was probably to hide acne, because I can kind of see some underneath the blue! oops maybe you should come up with a better strategy. and get rid of the bangs.

QUOTE(TBoltzbabe @ Oct 3 2004, 8:18 AM) Lance was about 11 at the time, and Casey was 15 (and he was extremely hot-- at least my little 13 year old self thought so). QUOTE(emrzz09 @ Oct 3 2004, 10:28 AM) So, my life was pretty good up until age 8. I'm so sorry you had to go through that. |

Ooh and another tragic thing that was on TV...
Usually the father's normal routine is just going straight off to work without having to drop his baby son to grandma's house. Anyway, the mom somehow switches routines and left the baby with the dad and the other son with her to take to daycare. The dad is just driving along to work and he completely forgets about the 1 month baby in the car seat because baby was sleeeping.. And so the father went into work leaving no windows open and a baby left inside. An employee saw later on that the baby was in the car and yeah..by then it was too late.. I was crying when I saw that....so yeah... |

this is like personal experience that like mentally scarred me for life -_-
but its not even as close as what im reading from you people okay when i was little my parents always got into a fight all the time and i remember them from when iwas 6-8 and when iwas around 8 i rememebr my mom was screaming and all and it was in the middle of the night and i saw my mom cutting my dads stomach and arm up with a knife and screaming and yelling and it was horrible then my dad really lost his temper because he has a big temper and smashed my mom into the tv which was broken due to my moms shortness and erm.. weak like self -_- well of course the neighbors reported nosies and the cops broke ndown our door forced me to sleep.. thats one -_- another one i dont remmeber alot but i rememebr waking up in the morning with my mom passed out on the floor and blood marks everywhere.. around age 11 but seriously im happy to live with my dad now.. my parents hate each other so much they are to angry to stay with each other without my mom trying to kill my dad for even 30 minutes -_- my mom isnt a good person.. when i was little she would tell my dad to hit me and beat me and stuff REALLY bad wheni was like 1-4 and then my dad wouldbeat me until my teeth knocked out, bruises,, ect.. and well my mom would come later and tell me my dad is a "bad guy" and i should trust her and stuff.. shes horrible -_-;; and she visits me on tuesdays and make them hell.. and also that arguement between tboltzbabe and jeanna had.. i dont get the fatbastard thing o.0;; tboltzbabe isnt even CLOSE to fat if thats what your saying o.0;; and seriously she has something to show off -_-;; unlike those people who are like.. anorexic and have half naked pictures of themselves and its really gross -_-;; but this is just my own little opinion. and also i think she was trying to be sarcastic in the first place o.0;; maybe... |

i thought the suicide thing was funny
anyway it is kinda sad but im kinda happy i got through it.. something to be proud of.. -_-;; i actucally experienced something but seriously what you witnessed is just plain scarey O_O;; i want to say more about my horrible mother so people can appreciate their mothers and not go "omg my mom wont let me go out to the movies shes a beatch" well right now my mothers ex best friend owes my mom money and my mom has been up her a$$ for a pretty long time and its hard for her to get money so she slapped my mom not even that hard at a club.. (my moms friend is also on drugs thanks to her "boyfriend") well after that my mom has been complaining to my dad to do something about it like to get his friends to do something bu twhatever and my mom was still up her a$$ after my mom got slapped and the lady beat my mom up so badly my mom had her eyes black brusies everywhere teeth knocked out and more -_- and now shes getting her self into a whole bundle of trouble -_-;; and shes sayign shes poor while i know in her safety desposit box its like.. amazing -.-;; *sigh* also when she comes home she beats me to take out her anger -.- ;; but i let her because shes weak and blah whatever i'd rather have little red marks then seeing her attempting to break down a wall.. again |

My mom used to be an achoholic. So one day when she was drinking at 11:30 at night, out of nowhere, she just burst into my room with a knife in her hand. She just went up to me, started yelling at me (I wasn't able to understand her very much), and she tried to stab me. She kept on trying to stab me and then she finally stabbed me on my stomach. Again, she kept on trying to stab me, but she kept on missing. Then she just dropped on the floor and was knocked out. I was crying and was scared to death. The next day, I told her what happened and she had no idea what I was even talking about. That was truly scary.

So far, maybe the death of my friend from my school..It happened maybe 2-3 weeks ago.
Eric Johnson was drag racing with his friend and crashed into a tree at 70 mph. He was killed on impact. His friend got paralyzed from the waist down i think. The guy they were racing against got arrest for about 20+ yrs or so. I heard that, the guy pushed them off the road, making them hit a tree. Eric Johnson, i knew him last year, i didnt see him this yr. Everyone was crying. It was..horrendous.. RIP Eric Johnson. |

When I was in 8th grade, one of my best friend's father was really sick. He was in the hospital for about a week and my best friend was really sad and scared. After a week of being there, they sent him home. The next day in the morning, when he is laying in bed, my friend hears something and goes to check on him. He had a heart attack or something like that and died. She watched everything and couldn't help him. She called me and told me and I just couldn't believe it. I had no idea what to tell her because I had never been in the situation. I've been very fortunate and haven't lost anyone close to me. All I could do was cry and say I'm sorry and help her get through it.

mmkay, I searched 31 lists of forums here, to find this one, cause I found something tragic, yes. My friend Bjay's cousin.
Her name was Tira. At 16, her parents made her pay their taxes, called her an accident, and made her do all the housework. She was humiliated, raped, and assaulted by her brother. No one seemed to care about her. A few days ago, she hung herself, and left messages on her computer and her diary.. a few of the messages are really sad. She did too much I think, and no one could help her. Tira stated that she felt like she was drowning with no one to rescue her, and she couldnt cry anymore because crying for was losers and wouldnt help anything. After she commited suicide, two close friends also did the same, for loosing her. it just makes me feel bad >.< read about it, in my friend Bjay's blog. its.. down down, look down. here. |

No one has posted on here for a while but I desided I was going to...
This is my tragic story: This year when school started it started in tragedy. A guy named Brandon was driving drunk and he flipped his car, was thrown from it because he wasn't wearing his seat belt. He died on impact. I didn't know Brandon well but he had been in my History class when we were Sophomores. Me and one of my good friends named Tammy were talkinga about Brandon and she told me that when she died she wanted all of her friends to have a party and then forget about her completely. On October 2, 2004 Tammy turned 18. She invited me to party with her and her brother and a couple of her close friends. I declined because homecoming was the same night and I had a date already. Came back to school Monday and talked to Tammy. She had a wonderful birthday and had plans to go clubbing with her best friend, Melanie, two weekends from then. Mel ended up having to go out of town to see family or something so they moved their plans to the next weekend... But they never happened. Because instead of going clubbing Tammy hung out with a friend, David, on that Saturday night and they went to a park to talk. While they were there they met up with a guy that later David said Tammy seemed to know. David had to go home and change to go to work and asked Tammy if she wanted a ride anywhere. She said she'd be fine and stayed there talking to the guy they had met up with. At about 4 AM Sunday, October 17, 2004 a railroad conducter found Tammy's body laying next to the tracks that run by the park she had been near earlier. She had been stabbed 17 times with a sword by the guy that she seemed to know. It turns out that he was an ex-boyfriend of Mel's who's room mate commited suicide three years ago on the same day that he murdered Tammy. That's what he and Tammy were talking about. It's still not real... It's been two and a half months now but I keep expecting to see her in the halls and hear her crack jokes and say "Suckers" in that special tone of voice again...

These stories are so sad
1. When my dad had an asthma attack out of no where, and my older brother who is a first aid medic for the fire station wasn't home and my mother was trying to calm my dad down. I had to call 911 and tell them what was happening. I was about 9 at the time and I was sucessful as the ambulence came in a mtter of minutes with equipment. He was in the hospital for one month, my mom visiting him everyday, me staying with my cousins the whole time since I was underage to enter the rooms. He is now in ok health. 2. When my mom was having her routine moodswings one time, she started yelling at me for something she had already yelled at me for about a year ago. She started and screaming about what a bad daughter I was and kicked me out of the house. It was snowing and I was in a t-shirt and shorts. I was crying and just sat on my front porch, huddled for warmth. She then came outside, dragged me into the garage, and then slammed my head against the side of the car. Iw as knocked out instantly, and woke up inside on the couch in my living room. I had had a concussion and threw up as soon as I woke up. I saw my mom crying by my side and kept apoligizing and saying she would try to control her mood swings. 3. I don't really want to explain this one but my cousin who is a year older tries to rape me whenever I sleep over or fall asleep at his house and stuff. He hasn't actually done it, but he's gotten awfully close. Luckily, I always wake up before he gets to do anything. |

umm..well this story isnt about me but, my friend..*Chrissy*
Its a lot so ima skip some details Chrissy's dad was black & mother white. She never knew her father and therefore never knew his side of the family. Chrissy lived w/ her mother & brother all of her life up until our 7th grade year. That year her mother died of cancer. No one at school even knew she had cancer. So Chrissy & her brother had to go live w/ their grandparents. So the next year, her brother (who had asthma) died in his sleep in the same room where her mother died. Chrissy was really depressed after this. She liked living w/ her grandparents but, they were soon to die & her grandma did soon after her brother. Her grandfather was sent to a nursing home. Chrissy was scared because she didnt really have anywhere to go. Her white side of the family didnt know her & the black side was basically non-existent. Chrissy ended up living w/ her cousin *Suzy* & her husband who treat her horrible. She always gets into trouble for stupid stuff & threaten to throw her out. She's afraid that if she's thrown out, she'll have nowhere to go... sry that sound choppy but i hate to type a lot |
