Doesn't your voice sound diffrerent? Options

Is it just me or does your voice sound different to you when you record it than when you just talk? If so doesn't it bother you? Is that why people think they can sing when they really can't... Cause that's probably me lol.

it doesnt really bother me...but i do notice that my voice sounds lower to me then it does to other people!

yeah when i hear my own voice on tape or something, it sounds really different, and yeah it kinda bothers me but whatever. thats why i try not to listen to myself haha.

on the phoneeeeeeee i sound like im 8 or 9...when i speak MAYBE 12...and on reccordings it goes even lower than that :l its dumb and i hate my voice

i always tell myself that i have the best acoustics in my head. not necessarily a GOOD thing, it just means there`s a lot of improvement from my actual recorded voice that everyone else here`s and what I here in my OWN head. sometimes i wish everyone else could hear what i hear. my voice recorded? it`s all little girl sounding and stuff, hahaha..

omg, thank god im not the only one, i was recording a song for a girl and my song was COMPLETELY different, i couldnt pronouce words...omg and it was jus plain weird

i cant really notice the change in my voice. some of my friends voices got pretty deeper over the summer though.

ooo yea.....definitely........lol.....i remeber the time when i had voice-lessons when i was young ......i noticed that i sang like a girl and that my voice was high pitched, ppl used to say whenever they picked the phone if it was me or my sis , noone could tell the difference but later on my voice started too change drastically........now im like one of those guys who`s low-pitched......but same full quality.......... .......im still kinda pissed......i was anticipating to be a tenor instead of a baritone.....

Yeah.
Your voice sounds different to you than it does to the person next to you. It's because you're closer to your voice, and you hear it differently and stuff like that. The way you hear it isn't really the way other people hear it. So when you record it, it sounds differently. >_> Er, yeahhhh. I just hate my voice. Period. So, it doesn't really bother me.. 'cause I just hate it, it's too low. >_>

yeah it does! being the loser i am, i record myself singing sometimes..and it sounds sooo different from what i think i sound like..becuase i sound more manly on the recording.. haha and yeah..i sound like i can sing when i sing to myself..but then i record it and yeah..

Yeah! I mean, when I record my voice on digi cam, it sounds like some cloudy-ish cutsey voice When I talk, it sounds more low then on digi cam. And my mom's voice sounds the same though...

Actually, when you record your voice and then play it back, you only hear the repilcated sounds of your voice. That's why is sounds weird. I hate the way my voice sounds too lol.

omg girl thats on my mind right now!!! haha yeah that's wat i thought too maybe it's just the microphone, but once u go into the studio...the microphone is the voice ur singing in reality... it's the same voice...you just need to get the right microphone...if u watched the video music awards 2004...jessica simpson had a weird microphone that changed her voice... and christina aguilera got a good microphone where we can hear her real voice and the voice she sings from her albums^^;;

to me it's really annoying when the microphone sounds different from my singing... i get so mad that i just want to ruin my karaoke box that goes along with the microphone

and sometimes i think some microphones improve people's voice when they sing... ay i dont know thats just my mind hehe

o yeah i just realized that some karaoke place...their microphone sound is different.... it bothers me cause some microphones is not the same voice as me...bothers me very much that i get so mad...sometimes i put myself down and saying why cant i make voice look better in some different microphones... i get mad easily from that haha
