be nice to someone, lead them on. might tell them you like them, but you are nice to him/her because you dont want to reject them. and just be nice but you dont like him/her

situation B

tell the person the truth, i dont like u, im sorry. but truth hurts.

A. Hurts way more.
Nothing sucks more than realizing later on that they didn't have any feelings for you; it may have seemed like it, but they didn't.

I agree with Seon Ho.

Eventually, they're going to find out that you're leading them on, and that you were just trying to be nice, and you didn't really have feelings for them. I think that would hurt way worse than just speaking the truth. I'd speak the truth nicely, though. =]

I agree...A. Is so much harsher. If you lead them on, and they find out that you don't like them..it'll hurt even more. The longer you drag it on...the worse it gets...and the worse it feels for them.

I'd say A, but it really depends on how you present yourself in situation B. I mean, dude, I'd feel pretty crushed if someone was being "honest" with me and said straight to my face in the middle of the hall, "I HATE YOUR GUTS AS WELL AS THAT HORRID FACE UPON THE FRONT OF YOUR HEAD!"

eh im friendly and sometimes that can be hard to read signals haha........but i dont lead people on...if i know they're hitting on me or tryin to, ill just say"hey your great and all but im not sure if u like me the way i like u" or some crap like that .

Leading them on only prolongs the rejection and hurt more....because its like u gave them time to prove themself or w/e and u reject so its like they failed .....and that sucks...

WHAT IM TRYING TO SAY IS! Leading people on = bad = because ur toying with the persons emotion and wasting each others time

Truth = hurts = but it saves alot of problems that can rise from hiding the truth..

yeah i agree..situation b might somewhat sound less hurting but when the person knows about situation a they'll be hurt way more.

A. definitely hurts more. yes the truth hurts, but living a lie like that is much worse. my guy friend did that to a girl and i got so pissed off at him. but he's smarter now so yeah...

Cause you make the other person think you like them, and you waste their time. Besides, imagine how you'd feel if you thought someone liked you, you asked them out a month later, and they say no.

dood, leading somebody is so bad. i cant think of anything worse, save from a kick in the nuts. being led on is the biggest waste of time. thats why i think it blows so much. you committed all of that time and heartache to someone who was too much of a p*ssy to tell you that they didnt give a damn. id rather have a quick let down that a long education in how oblivious i actaully am.

Yeah, that's very true.
I didn't take that into consideration.

It really does depend on how the person says it you and how they act towards you during that time.
