well me and my boyfriend have known each other for about 3 years and we are like really close friends and now we're going out. But the problem is now when we talk to each other on the phone its like silence -- and before we went out we had alots of things to say to each other...i just need some idea to what to talk to him about on the phone....so our conversation isnt so silent ya know?

That happened to me. It sucks.
Just talk a lot. If your boyfriend doesn't talk back, hang up. He'll call you back asking why you did. There you go, a conversation. haha - Chinkieeyedpnoi ( I was only half-joking ) |

um.. i tired playing a game over the phone. like truth or dare. hahah corney i know but it kept on working. and i sorta talked abut what she liked over the phone and that kept going on for a long time. hahah (side note to guys: girls love talking about hair
 ) hahaha talk about something that happened at school? but than again i'm not a very good talker on the phone

just don't call each other as often so you have more to say when you do...if you feel that way about there being an "arkward silence" he is going to feel that way to...just bring it up the next time and say to him that "you don't have to call me everyday"...if you let the "silence" stay to long it kinda messes up the relationship...first its the phone then its even in person...and when you tell him you don't have to call him everyday(if he does like he should be doing) he will be relieved too because hes gonna have to be holding the phone thinking "ahh what should i say" then he finally decides to ask "so how was school" for like the 50th time when its pretty obvious cause you see each other at school...and while your answering like you always do "yea it was okay" hes going to be thinking "NO talk more i still have to think of what to say"

well we dont call each other everyday just once and awhile..and we dont go to the same school either..we like ask each other the same thing everytime "how was school?" "any thing interesting happened?" and thats it hahaha

well eh i this isn't really related to your problem but i like this guy and he's REALLY quiet..so whenever we talk on aim it's just like " hi" "hi" "how was school" "n/m" and all that stuff. but actually playing a game or whatever ( like nearly sam said) really kinda does work. try it.
