Hey, since tomorrow is 9/11, the infamous day when the twin towers in New York City was struck under the wing of terrorism, I decided that we should make a little memorial commemorating the innocent lives that died on that very day. Just like a memorial wall, just sign your name and leave loving comments towards the friends and families that suffered a lost on that day. Here is a quick blend just to put us in the mood. [edit] You can contribute your own 9/11 blend too. Thnks to Trish for the idea happy.gif [/edit]

mines:
God bless all the families and friends that had to endure the lost of a loved one. I can't imagine losing someone, so you guys are the real heros... to with stand all the lost and still maintain your foundation. You are alive for a reason... to pass down the memories of your family. The angels are watching over us now... God bless... - Jenny Kim

I wish for those who have lost a loved one, my best wishes. I can't deal with death very well. But remember, we're a nation and we stick together. happy.gif

On Septemeber 11th I woke up to a nightmare that had just begun. It might've been 3 years ago but the memory of this tragedy will never be forgotten.

May we all pay tribute to the firemen/women who helped during 9/11 and all of the victims of 9/11. May we remember this day not as a horrific vision of terror, but as a day where we realize that there are heros among us. May it be a simple fireman or a volunteer. None the less, they are all heros.

September 11th. What an ugly day for America. The day when muslims within America were all accused. The day where American citizens bashed and burned Muslim houses because of anger. The day where many innocent citizens and innocent Muslims were killed. Yeah, I love America all right.

sounds like your bashing 'America' , for the hatred towards muslims as a result of 9/11.. but let me remind you that you shouldn't let the actions of a few ignorant people represent American as a whole.

Meh, truthfully i just hate people who call the families of 911 "heroes"; but i do respect the families because a lost in a family really is life changing.

besides, the real "heroes" are the lil guys in fire redundant clothes that weere running in the building trying to save them.

R.I.P. people of WTC and fire fighters; you'll always be remembered in our minds and in history.

PEACE

This topic is not about the war. It's about the people who died on 9/11. The war was the stupidest choice and I do not support it. However I do support the troops.

I don't really know what to say but this was a great idea for a topic. Looking back on that day, it was extremely tragic and depressing. My heart goes out to all the people affected by it and all of the families who have lost a loved one.

war sucks. why can't we all just get along? sheesh. no need to put innocent peoples lives in the middle of things.

wow, that's a good idea. nice blends too.
hmm, 9/11 i was in 8th grade. we were all shocked at the news and spent the whole day listening to the radio. and as i walked home, i passed the hospital nearby and i saw that there were a lot of injured people there (i live in nyc). and as i watched it all on the news, i was shocked as i say what happened on the news over and over again.
my heart goes out to all those who were victims of 9/11 and/or had family that perished in the attack. i'm sooo sorry about what happened, and i hope that we can find who did this. bless you all and i hope they rest in peace.

there's just so much to say about this day.. i don't even know where to start. GOD Bless everybody in america and all of the families who had to suffer from the attacks. so many people died just for going to work like they're supposed to. it's not right, but i guess that's just the way it is, even though so many would like to change it. everybody take care and be safe.

i would like to write a letter to my aunt as though mailing letters to heaven was possible.

i lost my aunt in this terrible tragedy.

Its been 3 years but it feels like yesterday when we watched in horror, helplessly as a few people took hundreds of peoples lives in their own hands. As the plane met the WTC, we could only pray that what we were seeing was nothing but a sick sick dream..and that within a second, our alarm clock would wake us up from this frightening dream. but no alarm went off and reality slowly set in. I will never forgive those who did this but there is no point in hating or being vengeful. What is done is done. You should see your daughter. She`s so much more mature now, taking care of her little brother. You would be so proud, i am. Their dad tells them everyday how much their mother loved them and still does. That you're only a heartbeat away and that you're always watching them sleep. You were a great aunt to me. Even though all i have to look at are pictures that we took, the moments and memories will be playing in my mind forever. We all miss you, especially daddy. He misses you dearly and hopes that you're doing just fine. Heaven must be a wonderful place and im happy that you no longer have to endure the pain and suffering that humans go through. You have taught me so many valuable lessons that have made me grown and mature, and even though you are no longer here, you have still taught me a valuable lesson. I will never take my life for granted and i will always thank God for everything i have. Life is too short and it could be taken away from me or anyone i love in a second. I'm sure that we will meet again soon, but until then...

We miss you and we love you aunt melissa...may you rest in peace.

This day has always been really hard for me. I can't imagine what the people who lost somebody on that day has gone through. I can't even begin to imagine how my life would be so different now if I lost my dad or my uncle. My dad was in Boston and missed his flight...the one that hit the north tower. My uncle worked in the Pentagon at the time, and we couldn't get in touch with him for two days. That was the scariest few days of my entire life.

Wow, this topic is really meaningful. It seemed as if it just happend yesterday. Having the most perfect view in my whole school, I witnessed it. I hoped there was something wrong with my eyes at first, but there wasnt. It really did happen and nothing can change it. To the heros that did not survive through the tragedy, rest in peace.

i'ved noticed there have been some rude comments..and i just want to tell you all the sorta keep them to yourselves if you have something else rude to say. because dont you all see what the point of this is? we dont want war we dont want any hatred. we just want world peace. is it that hard? i mean over one little comment it can piss someone off. so again, just keep it to yourselves..

anyways, i just wanted to say, that 9/11 was a very tragic day. very unexpected and i was only in 5th grade when it happened (8th grade right now) i will never forget that day and i hope all of those people in those planes that day rest in peace. i know this is another hard time for those families who lost some family memebers because of that. so, god bless america.

September 11th. That infamous day that will be marked as a day of tragedy and death. No one will ever forget those brave firefighters and police officers who died in the search for the missing and the dead. There will forever be a black mark for September 11th in the history textbooks to come.

and x_hiccupy_x AKA kathleen sun, that was a beautiful dedication and memorial.

with our eyes

with our eyeswe saw one of the most tragic events ever to take place on american soil.
a effect of pure hate.
it has effected us in so many ways.
it has allowed us to grow together and stronger as a nation
but it has also implanted fear.
it has showed us how vulnerable we really are.
this bad dream that we never thought would happen to us
because we are american.
a million apologies could never make up for what has happed.
because with our eyes we witnessed loved ones being lost, people who deserved to live die, and too much suffering.
nobody deserves that
who ever thought that tuesday september 11th at 8:48am that the fate of the nation would change forever
probably nobody
but yet it did
and with our eyes
we saw it all

I'll never forget that day... 4th period... my english teacher turned on the TV, the announcements called up the students with relatives in the WTC, my friend who never cries... cried that day. That day when i walked to Washington Rock's memorial and saw the smoke coming up from where the Twin Towers used to be. It's a day to be remembered and God bless the families who were affected and God bless this country.

I found this online, I don't know the author. If anyone knows, can you please get back to me? Thanks a lot.

THE LADY

I wonder what she thought
As she stood there, strong and tall.
She couldn't turn away,
She was forced to watch it all.

Did she long to offer comfort
As her country bled?
With her arm forever frozen
High above her head.

She could not shield her eyes
She could not hide her face
She just stared across the water
Keeping Freedom's place.

The smell of smoke and terror
Somehow reduced her size
So small within the harbor
But still we recognized...

How dignified and beautiful
On a day so many died
I wonder what she thought,
And I know she must have cried.

I thought that poem was very touching.
Now, I send out my prayers and heartfelt wishes to those who were affected by 9/11 directly, and even those of us who were affected indirectly.
May God be with us all.

wow three years. i just want to say ..best wishes to the people who lost a loved one that day. and also to the fdny, for their brave & heroic actions.
--the 9/11 attack was really unexpected/suprising. i was in 5th grade at that time getting ready for school. when they called & told us we didn`t need to cus all public schools in san francisco were closed. i should be thankful that the plane didn`t make it to sf.

& here`s my blend..

Reading over this thread makes me unbelieveably sad. Espically as a New Yorker. It just hurts to remember 9/11 even though its been 3 years. The victims and the families will always be in my heart. ALWAYS and forever. Not to forget about anyone involved, and anyone who lended a helping hand. It was all so unexpected for me, and I was only in 5th grade when it happened. Didnt seem like much back then. But now i am realizing what an effect it left and all the sadness it brought.
R.I.P & 9/11 will never be forgotten.
I might make a blend or something later on

i find all your comments ignorant.. but i also see some truth in it... its funny how there is always a separation line between the US... democrat/republicans, north/south, christians/catholics... etc.....

btw... all the blends are beautiful.. thanks for contributing

In memory of Charles B. Alaimo. You were a great father, uncle and close friend. I miss you even more everyday. You will always remain a part of me. You were a father to me when i needed it, and you heroism helps me live out each day, knowing that you died saving your daughter. I know she is forever grateful. As I am as well. I love you always.

I think there should be a ... September 11th day... It doesn't need to be a holiday or anything, but it should just be officially recognized as a "day"

yea, i realized that after i saved it. i didn't know what to say, i guess we were always "fallen" because as someone said, we were never united for ex. democratic vs republican, etc. i can't change it now, or it would ruin the picture. o well.
