So who does it? I'm taking the Lifeguarding course so I don't have to go to the regular gym...most of the guys take those. _dry.gif But yeah...our pool wasn't filled up until the third week of school. Can you believe that? THEY HAD THE WHOLE FREAKING SUMMER TO DO SO! hammer.gif But yeah...we were only in the pool for about ten-fifteen minutes. We got so much time to get ready...they should allow us to have a double period or something. Do you guys have swimming courses? What are they like?

stubborn.gif << That's supposed to be jealous face.

I'm not gifted with the ability to swim. I did take a few classes offered at work, but it's not working out so well (mainly because I do not have time to practice).

As for lifeguarding, I hope your school will certify you for CPR and First Aid because it could get expensive if you have to get certification outside of school. pinch.gif

Swimming section in gym class sucked. We have to change next to the toilet bowl, it was inconvenient. It was tiring also, no strength left for the rest of the day.

I want a pool at school! Fsk, I'd take the LG class... Though I dun think it'd be fair, since I've been an LG for 3 years... Maybe if they had an open water class...?

Of course, if we had a pool at school, I bet a candy bar would be floating in the water at least once a week... whistling.gif

its meh; kind of a hassle to get dry and chlorine in urr eyes/hair and skin dries fast with chlorine on ur skin...not very fun afterwards.

for the peeps who dont know how to swim; the teacher couldn't care less and get dropped off in the small pool. But for people who know how to swim; he cracks the whip and makes them do laps back and forth.

I always fake not knowing so i can just relax in the small pool. ^__^

I think that swimming can be fun, and I know how to swim too
but I don't like swimming
morevoer, I live in Hong Kong
and recenly the hottest topic in Hong Kong is that
There are a lot of red worms found in many swimming pools
so I am afraid of swimming in public pools...

hey lcsblogfool i live in hk too ^^ and yeh i've heard of the red worms.. it's gross >< but i usually go swimming in AMC so i guess that's not affected.. =P

ok our school has a swimming pool and my friends and i feel it's a complete mistake.. _dry.gif the swim classes are complete torture and the "coaches" are complete @$$holes [sry bout swearing]!! mad.gif the [female] changing room becomes crowded if more than 15 ppl get in there. also, the floors are all wet and mucky bcuz of the water mixed with huge amounts of dust.. it's rly rly disgusting to walk barefoot in there. pinch.gif we also hav PE in the morning so we have to smell like chlorine for the rest of the day.

oh yeah, and we have to wear school swimcaps. colour? white! we all look like boiled egg heads!!! blink.gif

i had them when i was in elementary school it was scary cause the teachers were so mean and rude there...makes u go to deep when u cannot swim...they're more likely a stricted teacher heeeh.... scary-_-;; i dont like swimming and scared of water that time and she give me this board to practice on the DEEPEST WATER...and guess wat happened? i could've been dead by now.... i was drowning... she didnt help me...she was just watching me to do it myself... augh i drank a lot of chlorine water-_-;; i was just choking...and i fainted in the water for like 2minutes i think but it was kinda like more than 2 minutes... i was just keep going down and down...and i can feel my brain squishing each other which gived me a headache...& i felt weird...someone grab me and got me out of the water...and i was sitting in the bench and i still see my swimming teacher teaching those beginners...there was no one in the pool except me.. and i was like 2nd grade that time... i guess the swimming water is alive...it saved me lol

swimming is cool. in high school the course it like 55 mins long. and they just swim and stuff..they have to get to class early to dress out, some of the girls just wear their bathing suit under clothes and then when it's time to dress out they jump back into normal clothes. it's crazy...but the swimming time is perfect...

We have swimming at the start of the school term (cuz it's almost the end of summer), last year we learnt breaststroke (though most of us know it already), and this year we're learning backstroke (though I know it but I suck in it).

//edit: oh and we have double periods for swimming classes, though one period our class clashes with another class... so we actually get one period only

my school is too poor to have a swimming pool....
no let me rephrase that.. my school wastes money on things that we dont even need..

anyways, i wouldnt want a pool anyway.. cuz that would mean we'd have swimming for gym.. and i dont know how to swim!

we dont have that i think.

we have swimteam, and i heard they ordered everybodys suits 2 sizes smaller. so they are making them lose weight. wouldnt that be so bad for a guy to have a speedo two sizes smaller! haha.
