I'm putting in my sig in memory of 9/11. i invite you guys to do the same.

note: please don't use the same exact image, it'll kinda use up a lot bandwith of the person hosting it. in fact, red white and blue text will do just fine, i just chose a animated flag because that's what i did on micron's other forums.

you can find a number of flags there too, so that tax-news.com doesn't wind up with bandwith problems.

thats cool of you to do that, but i hope that you also take action and show that you are a true American.

it's sad how some people claim to be an American, yet they hate the person next to them who is affiliated with a different party. That's not UNITED in any way.

I live in Brooklyn and I saw the WTC smoke. Very scary and for me being New Yorker and a American something I would never change.

Im proud to be a American.

Im proud to be a American.

thats great to hear

however, new york was also the location of the Republican National Convention. thousands of people tried to ruin a political convention because they dislike the current President. and i bet many of those were New Yorkers who had been in New York during the tragedy. kinda ironic, isn't it?

but i digress. let's all remember this day as a day of mourning, but let's also remember that this was a time when the United States was actually united.

Lets call it "rememberance" instead of "celebration", okay?

And yes, Kryo, this is a lovely idea.

because our generation was affected by sept. 11, so it's natural for us to have more emotion on that day.

I had to remind people at work to raise our flags half-mast tomorrow or else no one would do it. It was funny because they asked me even asked me why and I said "Patriot Day" and they looked at me like huh.gif and then mellow.gif and finally ohmy.gif "I'm so glad you remembered! I forgot all about it", then ran to lower the flag.........

Great job with the smiley faces.

Oh yes, my co-workers were rather expressive. Luckily the smileys are quite accurate in describing their moment of revelation. happy.gif
