Computerized voices..., does that piss anyone else off?

What is with the music industry these days?! Half of the 'singers' voices are computerized! I mean have you heard hoobastank, ashlee simpson, jo jo and all of those other teeny boppers live without and digital products?! They are horrible! Does it piss anyone else off that they are the ones making millions of dollars and becoming famous for something they can't even do??!

Ha, you don't see real talent around much anymore.. at least, not in mainstream music, you don't. Well, not a lot... just quite a few real talent.. yeah.

I kinda disagree with you...I mean they do computerize it a bit, but the singers do have talent, cuz otherwise anyone could make millions! They sing OK live, cuz they kan still hit high notes and such...k, maybe that didnt make sense.... huh.gif

actually their record lables are getting the majority of that money. the untalented bands get paid for touring and, therefore, being paid for being untalented.

but i agree. there is a lack of talent when it comes to music these days.

its hard to explain, like if you listen carefully jo jo's voice changes throughout the song. and as someone stated above britney's voice has changed over her records too much to be normal

Yeah I know! But some bands [i.e Yellowcard] sound good live. I've seen Story of The Year, Bad Religion, and Yellowcard in concert. They're all awesome. And you can tell it isn't computerized, they sound WAY better than the CD! lol

i thought the guitarist was wack jumping up and down; but maybe my tv's volume wasn't high enough

i don't dig the mainstream stuff.
computerized or enhanced voices suck, they need to learn how to sing.

Yeah, the singers of today get popularity based on their looks and stuff. It's not like it used to be. Popularity isnt based on people's voices anymore. But hey, I like Jojo. _dry.gif Sure, on her cd her voice is computerized, but if you've seen her perform on tv, she does sing live. And some people's voices arent computerized. Take Alicia Keys for example. She's very good. _smile.gif

ughh, it pisses me off a lot too. its hard to find real talent anymore. hilary duff and ashlee simpson are examples, the songs on their CDs are alright but live..ugh. get me some earplugs. actually, most pop singers these days are like that. thats why I like 3 Doors Down so much..Ive heard them sing live on TV, and sure, it doesnt sound exactly like the CD, but its still very very good happy.gif

guess u dint kno but jojo's voice isnt computerized..she actualli sings the same as on her cd but like sometimes they have her sing lower so her voice don crak or wuteva((like the 1st TRL performance she had))

i actually dont mind it, automatic tuners suck though..if you cant sing in tune you should not be a solo singer at all.....i know alot of great live bands who computerize their sh*t on albums or studio reccordings, it sounds cool, and they have talent to boot

you like evanescence? that's interesting. i used to like them, but a long time ago, i was watching this one show, it might've been the grammys or vmas or something...but anyway, i heard them, and amy lee or whatever sounded horrible. so i just stopped liking them _dry.gif

but yeah, i hate computerized voices. ashlee simpson's is kind of...cause if you listen to pieces of me, it sounds like she has a normal voice ( well, kind of) but if you listen to another song, her voice is REALLY deep. it's weird.

I don't really find it a probelm, but I don't think that they should start singing in the first place if they don't know how to sing... blink.gif

I think Amy Lee sings live, on MuchMusic she was playing the keyboard and singing at the same time, then she hit the wrong key and she said 'Oops wrong key
' or something into the microphone and yea.. lol I can't talk right whistling.gif

it doesnt really piss me off..i just think its dumb that ppl prefer to waste their time doing that when they can be off doing something that they're actually good at..however..ashlee and jojo do sound the same in person
