i have just started working and it's pretty boring. work actually gets me tired and school sucks more than ever. how do people manage the two sometimes? i'm in need of many things and working is the only way i can manage to get these things. i want to earn money and pay for all of it, but it seems like all the hours i work and the money i'll make, it won't just get me all that i need. i'm 16 and i'm going to get my license in like 5 months! soon i should be getting a car and i need to pay for that crap (monthly payments) and it seems like i won't have extra money. plus the freaken insurance. errr is anyone in this kind of situation, because this crap is sooooo difficult to go through. why can't we all have ALOT of money and have whatever the hell we need. plus all of this work and school totally took over my free time and i can't even have the time to go out and just kick back. i can't even go online to post so that i can keep up with my createblog daily post average. >_<

..... why don't you ask your parents for the traditional, "Oh, it'll be a great present to get me a car for my birthday!" thing? biggrin.gif

I'm in this situation as well. I went to my parents and asked for help with insurance. Also here are some tricks I learned. Go with your parents if they go to the mall and have them pay for your clothes. You save mucho dinero that way. whistling.gif

Life's tough wear a helmet.

LOL sorry.

Just get the car your parents offered you and behave. If you really want a car that badly, just be a good kid so they won't take it away. It's that simple. Now as for managing school, work, and a social life, hmm; how about taking days off from work? On those days hang out with your friends and go online since you're not going to work. Remember to always put school in-front of work, without good schooling it'll be harder to find a great job in the future; which will end up in you not getting all the "goods" you want.

Don't stress over this, you're still young. It's not like if you don't get your car now the end of the world will come . . . you know what I mean? I know a car is the sh!t at the moment, but it's not worth breaking your back over it.

You're young. You've got plenty of time to become independent. After all . . . that's what college life is for.

I'm just working on balancing school at the moment. I can move my cleaning day to the weekend. Screw my "social life." I've got 2 honors classes this year plus others that are just hard. Today was our first day and I've been doing homework nearly all day. I don't know what I'm going to do when we have games. sad.gif

eh, i'm gonna be going through that exact same situation. i'm gonna have to balance school, work, a social life, and track. bleh, and next year's gonna be extra tough- junior year... but i dunno, somehow, you'll find a way to survive. if you have some problems with your work schedule and school, talk to your boss.

use public transportation to get your ass to school. go home to eat, drink, sleep, and ****. quit your job and focus on schoolwork. unless you're in college in dire need of tuition money, or you live alone and pay bills, i doubt you "need" any money for anything else. once you get your degree and start working on a real job THEN you can complain about life being difficult.

there, problem solved ;o

QUESTION: where do you work? :D depends on how hard your work is...
if its too hard, get an eaiser job. study every night. save up your money. it's eaiser if you stop complaining and start giving it your all.. :]

i wouldn't worry too much about getting a car right now. think, do you reaaally need it? yes it would be nice but it is hella expensive. i'm almost 16 too right now and i'm crazy busy right now so worrying about a car is just one extra thing to worry about.
