I dont know if there is a topic on this already but I'm 12 and I wanted to know just out of curiosity how you shave your legs and does it hurt?

no it doesnt hurt. there are many hair removal techniques out there. But shaving is simple you buy a razor and if you want you could buy the gel or use body wash or condition instead. You spread this gel/bodywash/conditioner all over your legs and then you just go up your leg and remove the hair with the razor. No it doesnt hurt at all its painless but it feels nice and smooth after.

i started shaving when i was about 12 and it doesnt hurt. if you cut yourself, it doesn't hurt, it just bleeds like crazy .

it doesnt hurt.. unless you cut yourself deep or something to that affect.. but it wont kill you =) yeah itll grow back in a few days but when you shave like everyday your legs feel so smoooth :D

The razor gets dull and rust grows on it. sometimes. Thats why you might wanna switch razors every 2,3,4 times you shave anywhere.

It doesnt hurt. I started shaving when I was 10.. Mym Mum let me. It doesnt hurt unless you cut yourself.

Which I have.. maaaaaaaany times. I'm not very careful.
Just be careful around areas without a lot of skin/tissue/muscle/fat on them.. like knees and shins.

Depends on where it is.

Well, isn't Nair wax?? I would recommend using Veet for your first time...it comes with a bladeless razor so you don't have anything to worry about and it is supposed to last longer too. It's a newer product, though, and more expensive too so that might be why not that many people use it. When you start shaving with an actual razor, be careful because newer razors are easier to cut yourself with...just be careful around your ankles and knees (I usually stand up when doing the underside of my knees). If you are afraid or unsure about exactly to shave yourself just ask your mom...she should know about this stuff

all u do is wet ur legs,put the shave gel on, and shave against the hair...pretty simple....if u want to kno more ask ur mom....thats what i did!

yea shaving doesnt hurt like that just use shaving cream so you wont start to itch like crazy! but i think waxing is better just cause it takes longer for the hair to grow back

it doesnt hurt.. just dont press down to hard and use alot of shaving cream..
it will grow back thicker.. once you start shaving you pretty much have to do it forever unless you want hairy legs
so if your legs arent that hairy yet dont be in a rush to shave.. because its a pain

nopes it doesn't hurt but make sure you use shaving cream because you just use water, you can get a razor cut and it BURNS like h*ll..

if you aren't careful you could get razor burn or nicks.

you usually start taking the razor to your legs around puberty-when your horomones are going crazy. So the hair is soft and pretty before you first get rid of it. then, when it grows back, it's thicker and coarser b/c your body's hormonal balance is changing- not b/c of the razor.

dont rush it though, i usually rush shaving and yeah end up having cuts and stings for a little while but yeah if your legs arent that hairy you dont need to start shaving yet because once you start you pretty much have to do it every so often

well i never kut myself, and if u're afraid of thick hair, then just shave it when u're around people, and i only shave like once every... 2 and a half weks

You can just do it when youre showering, its not that big of a deal. And over vacations you dont have to shave if youre at home. SO yeah. It doesnt actually grow back longer though, at least i dont think so.

Or you can nair it, but i just find that strange. ANd I don't think nairing is that good because its like chemicals and it smells weird.

3. Put after-shave lotion on it

Be really careful around the underside of your knees.
I've cut there so much that I just avoid it now, because it bleeds & hurts really bad.
You have to really stretch your legs out to do under your knees.(:
