Um, because it's copyrighted doesn't mean you can't use it. It means that you can't claim that you wrote the song, and if you're not a complete idiot, you wouldn't anyways.

I read the page. It says you can't sing it on tv, make little watches with tunes, etc.

Basically, you're not allowed to make profits from it without liscencing.(ugh..sp?)

Most people aren't going to broadcast their birthday parties on television, and when you see it being sung on television, read the credits at the end of the program.

It IS rare. And maybe I misunderstood(as it happens often) But still, my opinion remains. Suing someone for singing a song that you didn't write is stupid. And oops.. this isn't a debate.

ohh i just thought of something...when i go to hockey games they have all the kids (and adults) whose birthday is that day on the big screen. But they don't play that song they play the "They say it's your birthday. We're gonna have a good time." Song which is by the Beatles..that is very interesting...
