I played clarinet for 2 years (I was in concert band last year). I'm transferring to a new, big, "elite" school, and they require that you be in marching band for one year before you can join concert band. Marching band is not for me *no offense to anyone who's in marching band*, but I have a low tolerance for heat and those outfits are like ovens.

hmm yes i used to be in a band... but just for a short time... i know band dont use violin...orchestra does, but... my band teacher loved my violin skills that she let me into the class...hehe but then the principal found out that im in band playing violin put me into orchestra and i told him that i didnt like to be in the orchestra class cause there were some ppls that i argued with... so yeah so he told me go or leave it...so i said leave it... so i dont play violin at band no more hehe

Yeah I'm a band dork. But it's not so bad because my friends are in it. The only reason we're on it is because it's good for college, I think, and we go on trips every year with the music department. Last year was to New Orleans and next year might be to Puerto Rico.

I play Alto Saxophone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its my baby LoL Its a professional Paris, France Buffet. NOTE: Paris does NOT make saxophones anymore! So my sax is kinda rare LoL yep yep I love it.

School bands aren't that great. I'm in a renowned city symphony, so I get all my music credit from that.

I listened to my school orchestra because I thought about joining. In short, it sucked, and listening to them play was a waste of time.

I used to be. I was in elementary school from gr.6-7, then high school from gr.8-9 but then I just didn't enjoy it anymore so I quit...Oh, and I played clarinet in gr.6, then flute for all the other years.

our band is super small, but of course, we always get SUPERIORS in music festivals :)
i also find it better to have a talent and be in band than have none and be "cool"

Yes, I play percussion. And the band sucks. But we have a piece exclusivly for percussion, and THAT sounds awesome. 4 of us are pretty good. (not the other 4 though.. ughh)

usually music scores are harder in symphonys and concert bands. but i guess its the marching that makes it a lot harder.
once again, im a percussionist in band (drumline, bells). but im good enough in pit percussion to be in a drum corp but my mom wont let me join.,
and a 2nd violin 1st chair in a renowned youth orchestra
i love orchestra, i love band too.
im what people call a music lover. i come from a musical family.
my dad used to compose and create theory sight reading and playing books, my mom played electronic organ, and my dads friends are professional movie musicians, concert musicians, composers, conductors and one of them compose the final fantasy music.
