I'm a whole newbie at this. I just read a couple of tutorials this morning and well here's my end result. Sorry if they suck. I'm just getting into this. Thanks for looking. And you're welcome to rate and give me any advice on them.

Well, they're not really blends...just over-use of the layer opacity. To make them better you could use the eraser and erase parts of the arm on the third one for example. But it's a good start.
