Then you simply link the image to your xanga. For example, the webcam takes shots at 30 min intervals, uploads it to a webspace as webcam.jpg replacing the older one, and in your xanga, you simple need an image to webcam.jpg, which will reflect the latest shot. Nothing to do with javascript. |

I think that if you were to make a weblog border-- and it would either be able to input your own image using its URL or to include it in the initial html. For example, if you were to make a script that instead of using a solid or dotted line for a border of a weblog, using little stars or hearts.

www.xanga.com/xxouttheheart if anyone can show me how to do that, ill be your slave forev... uhh... for a minute or two. |

Hey, I am currently using this and it works, I think it's what you're talking about. when you leave the page the transition is a star enlarging to show the new page. <META http-equiv=Page-Exit content=progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Iris(duration=2,irisStyle="star"> Put that in your custom header section. ![]() |

I know you said remove ads, which I'll get around to sooner or later, but couldn't there be a way to move the ad to another place..? Like at the bottom of the page or something. Or a pop-up.

I want to have a custom module for free Xanga Page that will maintain a list of current cds I am listening to. Simialr to the "listening to" section on the right of this guy's site. http://steveisaacs.typepad.com/
I don't need picture, or comment about it, although would be nice to possibly expand it to that. I would like to be able to use some html to put a link in there. Currently, I have tried using this Current Status script, and tried to modify it so that it is showing what I am listening to instead of my mood (which wasn't hard, just changed the hardcoded message) but I want it to list like 3 or 4 cds, or maybe list cd, movie, book, game, or 3-4 of each of those....with links the mood box has a variable that can be set from a blog entry (<style type="text/css">.istatus{display:none}</style>) Do i need to make a variable for each cd I want listed? will all of them be maintained (remembered). Can the blog entry used to set the variable be made private (so others don't have to see me changing the settings?) |

ok, simpler problem this time ( i hope). I want to change the size of links just for a small portion of a page (actually inside an unordered list)
and the links on the page that aren't in a list, are normal size. I can't seem to get it to do right. I can put a <div style="font-size:0.6em"> in front of my list, and regular text changes, but the links stay the same size. How do I shrink them down too? forgot to add, this is for a free Xanga page. |

well, i don't know if it's possible or not but i would like to know if this is possible:
when using an image map,...can you somehow link it to a javascript? like xquit's music chooser code, instead of having text numbers, i want the user to click on a hotspot and the music chosen plays... ![]() |

or...how about having a "flash skin"? i tried it once, but i could never get it "under" the text...it would just go over it so you can see everything cept for the text. i even tried cutting the skin into four pieces to try and put them bordered to the left, right, top, and bottom of the blog area...but never worked out.
