i have a good question for you guys. Iraq may be under new government, but how do we know that they still dont have nuclear weapons and weapons of mass destruction? yes we did clear the "known" sites and possiblites but that was a little over a year ago. Couldnt nuclear activity still be going on, possibly connected to the al quieda and bin laden? Debate is needed.

We know that there are no more WMDs in Iraq, because there are two possible cases that explain why Hussein didn't use his WMDs to kill our soldiers during the invasion:
1) Hussein never had WMDs to start with -- which I believe is the more likely of the two situations. 2) Hussein had WMDs, and gave them to Al-Qaeda while our attack was beginning. This is just scary -- but not as scary as the fact that Bush has absolute authority to comamnd the US military for 60 days at a time without approval of Congress. Certainly, the US Military is a major WMD. |

any country could have WMDs, and we just might not know about it.

Err.. what's the point of this topic? We can't just go invading every country suspected to have nukes.. what if they decide to use them on us in a final act of desperation?
I agree with Minda.. if Sadaam did indeed have nukes, he most likely would've used them already |

i agree with Emerald Knight. yes it is important that we must know who has nuclear weapons, but when we find out what should we do? try to filter them out or get more nuclear weapons our selves to defend ourselves against them. it seems like an ongoing race that only goes in circles.

First of all, the US government never had any proof that Saddam had any nucleur weapons to begin with. However, the ignorance of the public and sneakiness of George W. Bush allowed for the invasion of Iraq. So now after many months of war we still have not found any weapons of mass destruction. So was there any justification for war? absolutely not. So your still worried about weapons of mass destruction overseas? Well for your information, the United States is the largest producer of weapons of mass destruction. So if your still worried about it, take it up with the president and his hypocritical ideals. I think we've done enough damage in Iraq and need to leave them alone.
And FYI, Saddam Hussein and Iraq are totally separate from Osama Bin Laden and Afghanistan. |
