To start, I found a picture today:

Anyway, Rockets are actually looking good this year. No more T-Mac, but with our luck Yao will be hurt within the first 10-15 games. Regardless, I have high hopes, but being a Houston team I can't put them too high. Houston teams like to shoot themselves in the foot.

yeah dawg check out espn + marvel. they did covers for each team.

i think rockets are more stable than last year. i mean yeah, yao is yao. if you get half a season out of him you're probably doing good. i duno how well they'll do over all. they're just like a middle line team. if they finished well enough to get into the very bottom of the playoffs i wouldn't be surprised, and i wouldn't' be surprised if they didn't make it at all.

i'm excited. i'm excited for orlando of course. they haven't really made significant roster changes though so i guess i'm more excited to see chicago than orlando actually play. can't wait for that.

excited to see miami lose of course. excited to see the lakers not 3peat

did you hear the new shit stern is saying. he wants to cut player salaries by like a third. which will never happen imo. but he also is talking about contraction and getting rid of some teams. which would be fine with me honestly cause if i never have to watch another memphis or charlotte game i won't be crying myself to sleep.

rofl poor michael jordan. i didn't hear about that, it's kinda funny though. I don't think that should be up to him though, it should be up to the team owners and the hosts. I realllly don't like stern. I also don't know what I think about the salary cut. I understand the need for a salary cap, and if it becomes that low interesting things might happen trade-wise. If all of a sudden the Lakers have all this money and no longer have to pay Kobe as much I'd make a bet you'd have plenty of high profile players wanting to go play with Kobe to get themselves a ring similar to the heat situation

lol, if they trade him to NJ he probably won't resign with them and end up signing with the Knicks in free agency. at least if the rumors are true.

and yeah JC, Felton is having a career year. But I hope the Knicks get a backup point guard cause he's playing too many minutes to last into the playoffs at the current rate.

yeah i'm gonna be disappointed if that's how it works out. my dream scenario is knicks play heat & celtics play bulls. i don't want orlando to play either of them seasonal0.gif

hopefully heat get knocked out by someone regardless. it's hard to decide whether i hate heat or celtics more...but probably heat. i don't want to hear about them winning shit in playoffs so i'd rather they go down first.

my lakers have been playing complacent this season. but i ain't too worried. however, i think it's important that we get homecourt advantage if we make it to the finals.

i don't like our chances with miami only because we don't watch up well. zydruanus illgaugakas or whatever you spell is it, is more effective than i thought he would be against gasol. if we play boston or orlando in the finals, i like our chances more.

as for the spurs, i think they are playing extremely well. however, i don't think they can beat us in a 7 game series. and dallas is always a regular season team that does well. and chokes in the playoffs so i'm not too worried about them. everyone else in the west isn't a threat to the lakers.

i want to see chicago or new york upset someone though.

yeah i was pissed we lost but eh, we just need to get our defensive rotations on lock. probably there just hasn't been enough time since the trade for the guys to REALLY figure out the defense fully, so i hope that improves.

9 out of 10 times when we shoot 40%+ from behind the arch we won't lose. ray allen usually won't have 26 points. aka this is more a fluke game to me than anything. they shot better and were more efficient, yet they only won by 3.

i'm feeling positive and i feel in a playoff series we can compete with them, seeing as they won't shoot like this every game and our defense should be improved.

oh yeah, and am i the only one who was shocked to learn that boston is LAST in rebounding in the league? wtf? all this talk about their big front court ( and out lack of one besides dwight) and we out rebounded them by a lot. 35% to 22%

you were saying, Teesa?

Don't feel too bad about it though, you guys got back more than you should have. Knicks ownership doesn't know when they got leverage.

I don't understand this. Why wouldn't Knicks just keep all their shit and sign this kid in free agency because he refuses to go anywhere else.

IS ISIAH BACK JAMES?????

lol if Isiah comes back I'm going to write James Dolan telling him that I ain't using Cablevision anymore until that piece of shit is gone.

Word is Melo didn't wanna wait for free agency. Can't say I blame him, unlike other attention whores who have hour long ESPN specials, Melo got sick of the whole affair and just wanted to know once and for all where he'd be playing for the next few years. Also the Knicks were afraid the CBA is gonna f*ck up the amount of cap space they have available. The Nets owner was also being a dick and meddled in order to get the Knicks to have to give up more just for the sake of f*cking with the Knicks because he's a jealous f*ck. Oh well, enjoy watching your team play in an empty stadium, ***hole.

I am kinda pissed that we keep giving picks away. I'd really like to be able to attend an NBA draft sometime in the near future and not have to wait until the second round. I'm also pissed as hell that Knicks ticket prices pretty much tripled overnight in some cases, and now I'm gonna have to compete for tickets against f****ts who show up during the 2nd quarter and leave with 5 mins to go in the 4th.

I would have liked to have kept Mosgov, and have kept one of Chandler or Gallo (though preference to Chandler since he can guard more positions even though Gallo is better offensively), and I would have liked to not have to take back some of the other shit but I can live with it. I loved Felton, but Billups is pretty damn clutch and he'll be good until his contract expires. I don't think Felton is gonna be as good on the Nuggets as he was for the Knicks in the first half of the season anyway.

Chandler and Gallo play the same position as Melo, so it wouldn't make sense to keep them all on the team, though it would have been nice to have one of them come off the bench as a sick sixth man. Besides, Shawne Williams has been shooting the 3 better than Gallo anyway. Plus, that fat f*ck Eddie Curry isn't on the team anymore, and Anthony Randolph will finally get some playing time.

It would have been nice to absolutely rob the Nuggets after getting owned in the Nene+Camby for Antonio f*cking McDyess, but at the end of the day the Knicks are a better team so I ain't mad. I think provided the Knicks pick up a decent center (Earl Barron maybe), they're a better team than the Hawks, maybe better than the Magic and the Bulls.

Pretty much because he would have had to take the bigger amount of money from Denver. Had he waited until free agency, he would have been leaving A TON of money on the table.

not feeling bad at all...although i was pretty damn sad that chauncey had to go as well. i thought i would miss melo, but nope! and i think we're 10-4 since the trade and denver is SO much more fun to watch now-guys are actually passing the ball and playing DEFENSE yheahhh

should capitalize NOW as well. Who knows what Denver's core is gonna look like 2 years from now considering the time on the contracts those guys have/money they will be getting when their contracts expire. Probably they'll have to build around Lawson + Gallo or Ill Wil. And f*ck the nuggets for demanding that Mozgov be included just let him warm the bench. Knicks could use him :(

I feel really bad for all the guys who got traded though, especially Felton. Saw an interview with him and he still doesn't seem happy.

Felton had the summer to learn the PnR with STAT, whereas Billups kinda just got thrown into the fray. It seems like he's always looking for Melo first prolly cause that's what he's used to. I'm not sure the Knicks keep him. Personally, I'd love for the Knicks to get a good guard in the draft and have Billups mentor him. Knowing the Knicks though, they'll probably draft some foreign scrub (then again, Landry Fields).
