Alien v. Predator, this film is being released on August 13, 2004. Who will win? It seems to me that this film is going to be a sell-out to the humans-win-lets-make-a-sequel type of thing. Even though the humans are considered the "underdogs" as the signature of this film states, "Who will win...We lose," it is more than likely that it is stating that "we" is stating to both the Aliens and Predators just like what happened in Freddy v. Jason, another "versus" film. In the Alien Quadrilogy and Predator 1 and Predator 2, the humans, underdogs, always seem to "win" in the end.

In the current situation, the plot notes that the Predators are going through a "transition" which they are being tested as young hunters to become true hunters in the eyes of their species. As a result, they came to Earth, in Antartica, where a "pyramid" was built long ago for this transition which contains the Xenomorphs (aka Aliens) for the Predators to hunt and kill. In the midst of it all, a couple of scientists are in an excavation in search for the pyramid deep below the cold grounds of Antartica. They soon found about the history of not just the humans, but two other different species as well and found out that there is a battle between the Aliens and the Predators. Yeah, that was just the background information.

So what do you guys think? Whose going to win? Does this movie have enough potential to become as great as the classics, Alien and Predator? I hope it will be, and I hope that they won't try to make the winner ambigous and make another sequel. Often, most sequels are horrible due to the purpose of money making. Sigh. pinch.gif

man, me and my friends are goin to see that opening night. alien's definetly gunna win, and they're definetly gunna have a sequil. sequils are the best part about horror movies (imo).

i don't even care if it's gunna become classic. i just wanna see people get blown up and ripped up by aliens and predators.

p.s. if you think there was no winner in freddy vs. jason... jason won. he had more kills and was definetly carrying freddy's head at the end.

Here in NY the critics for the NY Post gave it a one star out of four. That's how bad they thought it was.
It really isn't my type of movie, so I'll pass. (And no, the gore doesn't scare me. Its just that I find it... uninteresting...) _dry.gif

It was stupid. Everyone died. Except for one.

I found it pointless.

Paul Anderson Pisses me off. He totally screwed the Resident Evil Movies. Instead of watching AVP. We went and saw Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement.
