I can't f*cking wait for the NFL to start up again. A bunch of teams I want to see how shit turns out. Doing fantasy football this year, too. Unfortunately I'm joining an established league and all the good QBs are taken :( Wish I could get Aaron Rodgers but my bitchass brother already has him :(

Regardless. Teams to watch out for:
Obviously teams like the colts / saints
Packers
Jets
Possibly Bengals

Lolteams:
Cowboys
Dolphins
Bucs

Green Bay Packers. Got Aaron Rodgers beasting shit. Second best defense in the league after well, the Jets. Both the Jets & Packers picked up some nice defense during the off season too so I can only see them both holding on. The Packers have an amazing passing game, though. The first half of the season half of the Packer line was hurt and they went 4-4. Healthy they go 7-1. I'd say they're a pretty decent team :] Also my dad's side of the family is from Wisconsin (Mom's from NY).

What about you though, JC? Did you watch much NFL last season or was it more casual? My whole family is a football family so we're always all over Sunday/Monday night football. Almost all our family friends are big football families, all involved in the same FF league. I could probably safely say JC : Basketball :: Hamrens : Football

But yeah,w hat about you? Bigggg Jets fan or fan primarily b/c of the fact that you live in NY?

Also random - Kevin Kolb (new Eagles QB) was a University of Houston QB. Hope he does well.

primarily because of NY. i wouldn't even say i'm a fan because i haven't watched enough to really know how i feel about anything. it's extremely casual. i will watch when it's on and there's nothing else to watch or when someone else is watching. i hope to make more effort to watch this season and get into it. since i never watch consistently then i never get into rivalry/players/etc, all the stuff that goes with "following" a sport and ultimately makes it fun to watch.

doubt that i will ever follow football/baseball/tennis/other sports i casually try to keep up with to the level i do basketball though. i think it's too ingrained in my everyday life/family life, the same way you describe football is for your family.

this is the first time i've even bothered to really watch preseason but i've already decided this shit is too long. 4 weeks of preseason? why? i don't get it. two, ok i can deal with two. i don't get why we need 4. seems like too much to me.

football players do nothing basically. they play once a week and even then, they just stand around most of the time. they should play more or get paid a lot less.

lol nfl players get paid a lot less. also try playing a game of football. I've played football and basketball and a game of football is a lot more taxing. i'm not shortchanging basketball players, but they have rules against fouling and a lot of stuff to protect themselves. football players have a lot more variety and range in the sizes / playstyles / contact / etc.

Basketball is nowhere near as tiring as football. The line of scrimmage is basically several sumo wrestling matches occurring simultaneously. On every. single. play.

yeah my packers are f*cked up right now. Still <3 them. They're going to be fine for the playoffs though, even though Jermichael Finley is out for the season. They had so many injuries in the past few weeks though, Clay Matthews, Finley, Rodgers was concussed, Johnny Jolly isn't in playing yet b/c he was suspended, Charles Woodson was injured. So much that is :( :( :(

Also the Texans are 4-2 like what? The Jets I would have put as a superbowl contender at the start of the season but they're not performing as dominantly as I expected them to. I'm most surprised at the shitty start of the Colts. The Texans beat them in the opening game ending their five year streak of going 9-0 to start. I was also at that game lololol Arian Foster what a f*cking beast where the hell did he come from

Negative. Jets gonna KILL the steelers, I can agree with Packers beating the bears. But Jets gonna win the superbowl, bby. cool.gif

hahaha its so funny cause I have always been into football/the Superbowl. but I've always been to busy to follow it. This year, I worked at SportClips and watched it 24/7. hated the world cup {stupid horns, so annoying} and around the horn/PTI. Hate those shows. But I def got waaay more into it this year since I could follow it,... a little too closely.

Lol every morning before school I wake up make a smoothie eat a bagel and watch sports center. I then go to school and unless it's a monday I come home at some time and watch sports center again while listening to JRIB in the car while driving and sometimes watching JRIB when I get home. Every Packer game is a religious happening for my family and we pay homage by buying good beer and steaming bratwurst in beer (not the good stuff) before we grill it and chow down while watching the Pack.

I went shopping during the Packers/Bears game and the place was empty because everyone was watching the game. The fans here are pretty crazy... so they hate it when I say Packers probably aren't going to win the superbowl, especially if they play like they did on Sunday.

steelers will win. they might as well just hand them the trophy now and not bother with them game cause there is no way packers will win it.

yeah steven what you think about that

lol what do you guys think about this j cutler deal. defend him teesa, tell us why he looks like such a douche at all times. i was cracking up when he went out of the game and like every player in the world tweeted about lack of heart etc

Yeah and he didn't even try to help out the other QBs like every good QB does. Also check this shit:

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_...?urn=nfl-311669

Oh and y'all can say the Packers are going to lose, everyone's telling me that, but that ain't going to change my mind. I'm not a bandwagon fan, been a Packer fan since I was little :) Everyone can cite a shitty game against Chicago but the Packers and Chicago always f*ck each other's offense up, look at their history. Last time the Packers and Steelers played it was a shootout 37-36 I think with the Steelers scoring at the last second. This was last year. This was before GB got yet again progressively better this year :] Predict what y'all want but GB is a younger team playing with the experience of a team like Pittsburg. We'll see how things go. We'll see how Big Ben fares against Matthews/Woodson rushing. We'll see how accurate he is when Woodson and Williams are chilling around his receivers. We'll see how one good safety can fare against the best receiving core in the league. We'll see :)

What are y'all's reasons for picking The Steelers?
