It wasn't a date, per se, but I count it as one since we kissed at the end: when I went to the Met a few years ago. But I don't think that's an option for you since you're not in NYC right now.

Amusement parks don't make for good dates.

Dinner works, but you don't want the restaurant to be too stuffy. Make sure she's comfortable with you, then take a walk somewhere. Or, perhaps, drive to scenic location and just talk. If all else fails, find a way to do something that will make her laugh; i.e. comedy club, funny movie, going to a novelty store, etc.

she wouldn't, but i would. i have no interest in making teddy bears or going anywhere that is going to be overrun with 8 year olds. that's like hey let's go to chuckee cheese for a romantic date.

you guys are women, you are supposed to be better at this! are you telling me that if a guy took you to build a bear or played playstation, you would seriously consider that a "best date ever". you would go tell your friends how amazing it was. REALLY? i mean maybe it is and i just don't understand...

I'M GOING FOR BEST DATE EVER.

i don't know this is too hard, girl's jobs need to be to make up date ideas at all times.

you've never seen 500 days of summer and i know you dislike ikea but you can both go there to loiter. walk into different rooms to pretend you live there. i can already predict what you're going to do: bitch the whole time about how the furniture is cheaply made & how it sucks. they have a deal for $2.50 = 2 hot dogs, soda, chips. don't get the meatballs because those gave me the runs.

I love The Lion King! I saw it on Broadway when I was young, but I remember the costumes more than I do the singing. I don't know if I ever saw The Fox and the Hound, though.

you don't always have to take your girlfriend on a date, watch some dvds at home with a bowl of popcorn it's way romantic than going out to movies

or if you perfer to take your girlfriend out, take her somewhere she have huge interests on like uhmm i love animals and my boyfriend took me to the zoo ! lol

Yo man, you should go to The Bronx Zoo, if you haven't already, which you probably have because why wouldn't you? But it's actually a lot of fun, especially if both of you haven't been to a zoo in a long time. Last fall I went with my girlfriend, and neither of us had been to a zoo since before we were 10 so it was a fun way to reminisce about childhood while making fun of how giraffes run.

I'd rather receive a cheap and thoughtful gift than chocolate, flowers, and/or jewelry. Jewelry is the copout, default gift that any guy can get for a girl, even one he doesn't love. I wouldn't mind receiving a nice necklace or bracelet, but I'd rather have a book by an author I love or one piece of clothing I'd been waiting to get myself than a $300 Tiffany's necklace that I would hardly wear just because I'm not the type to wear jewelry.

Boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary last weekend. He got me flowers and a day at the spa aka massage, pedicure & manicure/tips which I have been dying to get for months now. I got him a nice webcam & headset... yes I know it's pretty lame, but he didn't have one and travels to Europe every few months so it's always fun to actually see each other instead of email and such.

Have you already done some kind of spa/pampering gift for her yet?
