the book is based on facts that the author researched...i'm catholic and i dont believe that jesus had a wife etc but the things that the author claims are things that hes gathered from his research...and he doesnt have a disclaimer written anywhere in the book so i'll just have to assume its true. what i did do was look up copies of the paintings he mentions and look for the little things he points out..like in the last supper. and i found that they were true..

currently, i have read the first 3 pages on the 1st chapter. tongue.gif

well yeah, what they have researched are true but the whole book, i believe, is fiction. i do not expect that Dan Brown assumed too much when he wrote this novel

It's fiction. It can be found in the fiction aisle at the library. I''m sure he researched some things, but he assumed most. Wouldn't you hear more of this around the news and whatnot before if all of it was true? Besides, I saw a book written by a Christian church that proved a lot of the points of the book wrong. Don't get me wrong, I'm an atheist and as much as I'd like it to be true to prove all those religions wrong, I don't believe it. _smile.gif Not all of it, anyways.

hmm, i think its fiction, but he did research some of the stuff. and yeah, i did that too- i looked at the paintings that were mentioned and the things that dan brown says are true.

The Book is Fiction.
No matter how true Dan Brown says it is, it's still fiction.
Nothing more. Nothing less.
Read Cracking Da Vinci's Code It's a good read.

I believe some of it is true. After all, it is fiction, but a lot of the concepts make sense. Plus, I just love when the Church gets a kick in the butt. happy.gif

i agree. and all of the points he makes do prove true
