I'm not really sure how to go about this? Should I keep the spots going on the face, have them stop lower, is it good the way it is? Any suggestions? (Yes, I know it doesn't have a tail yet)

actually, it looks pretty nice at is. I think maybe you should take off the spots near the neck where it stops, and put little spots on top of the head. Also, I'd probably make the spots on the legs go down a bit lower. Otherwise, good job.
 of course, you should wait until sandy gets up in here. ;) |

Haha aw, that's so cute! I think you should continue on with the spots but don't have them that dark. Like have the spots fade from light to dark as they go down the giraffe's body. Like this:
