I've been having these extremely intense moments recently, which is a surprise because I don't lose my cool too often (aside from road rage). Now, this isn't to say that these intense moments refer to something negative, but they can also be positive moments like, um, childbirth, or love, or something else along those lines.

What are some of your intense moments?

This is an earnest attempt to have a serious discussion

Well, I was about to say when I'm constipated, but this convo should be serious..

A serious moment I have suffered was the loss of a family member, obviously. Losing that connection with someone so close, losing the only chance to talk to that one single person one last time, losing the chance to not see them ever alive, all of these options gone.. :(

Well, Brandon, my most major breath taking moment should be obvious. That would be, of course, the birth of my son. Before that though, that ever so shocking two pink lines showing up on the pregnancy test. I have never experienced a complete lack of air before.

I've been in and out of relationships, but true heartache isn't something you ever quite master. I remember one particular break up that felt like the world stopped. Literally. It was as if nothing moved. Man, that last break up (before my current boyfriend) put me in spin that would eventually last several years. Just the thought of having that one, beatless moment was terrifying enough to not want to ever take a risk again.

There are more, but I'd love to read what others have to say.

For me it was on Monday when I was told that I might be fired. I could breathe for a few minutes.

I think one of my more serious moments was the death of a very close friend. And the fact that I watched him die made it even worse. I felt like I never wanted to talk to anyone else again or even leave my room. For a long period of time after that, I was literally like "emo" depressed. I had actually cut myself once because of it and I always stayed in the dark and wore black/dark clothes. I didn't go outside and hardly ate and because of this, I had to go the hospital and nearly died. At that moment, I actually kind of wanted to die and join my friend wherever he was. He was like my closest friend and I was closer with him then I was with my own brother or parents. However, as I was laying in the hospital bed, my friend's brother talked to me. He explained how I should be happy for my passed away friend and that he is in a better place. I refused to listen but he told to think over night so I did. As I laid in the dark, once again, something made me realize that I still have a full life ahead of me and that my friend was free of his suffering. It's kind of hard to actually put in words but I regained strength and recovered from my "mental" illness, I guess you could say. So yeah, really serious and breath-taking and it still kind of takes away my breath when I talk about it. mellow.gif

I've seen someone die and narrowly avoided it myself. Life didn't flash before my eyes, I didn't think of all the people that I loved or cared about, I didn't have any last wishes; I couldn't feel a single thing. That alone scared me more than actually dying; the idea that my life coming to a screeching couldn't evoke any emotion.

Someone that I just saw two weeks ago died randomly. My aunt turned around to me and said, Javonn live every day as if it were your last. Don't regret ANYTHING and do EVERYTHING. That message was very sobering.

When I bite into a York Peppermint Pattie, I get the sensation of the life draining out of a man's body as I crush his windpipe, screaming, "So, I'm a bitch, huh? I'm the bitch? Who's the bitch now? Who's the f*cking bitch now, bitch!"
