What's up dawgies. What are y'all up to?

I just put out like 15 applications, two of them to the NBA with the Houston Rockets. I'm applying to be a reliable player that doesn't break. No just kidding, I'll be working in the marketing department if I get hired.

The many other jobs / internships have been applied for including:

Law Clerk
Some other type of clerk oriented stuff at a fancy place in Houston's Galleria area
HP intern
Marketing intern with some other companies whose names I don't remember

I got accepted as a clinical laboratory assistant in the diagnostic immunology division of the dialysis laboratory I worked at last summer. My hours are kinda shitty, but the pay is pretty decent for a temp position.

I sent in an e-mail asking about a position at a local humane society, filled out applications for several restaurants and applied for a summer internship over at Zelda Lily (here), a feminist blog. It's going to be a busy summer. pinch.gif

Got rejected by NASA internship, but I did make it as far as the interview process! And they asked me if I wanted to be reconsidered for another hiring period but I'm too busy right now. Hmm, and then Merill Lynch was going to give me an internship but they needed proof from my college that I could get credit from them to work at ML, but my school didn't give it to me....so ): no internships for me.

Since I've been working for the Census Bureau, I've put a hold on applying for a lot of stuff but I hate the application process. It's like, why do you need a writing sample when I'm sending you a cover letter? And f*ck references, too.

yeah f*cking pain in the ass. i just copied a few different ones and saved them as templates, since every cover letter has to be changed for that job.

Totally, that'd be awesome. I won't be up to Troy for another couple weeks, but I think a meet-up would be in order. _smile.gif

The chairman for the CMB department at school just called me and said I got accepted for a hospital internship.

I'm gonna have to quit my job that I haven't even started yet, and now I probably won't be able to Korea/Japan, but whatevs, this is good news.

I found out I'm getting paid for the internship gig I've been doing since March. It's only $150/mo, but it's something, so I'll take it. I'm gonna apply for a couple of things once I get some references worked out.

I'm really considering a possible reenlistment and use getting stationed in Okinawa as an incentive (they'll do that, y'know). The bonus isn't bad either.

how many hours do you work per month?

hm, it's nice to have family connections in the field you wanna go into. my uncle got me a full time job at his office, so i got to skip the whole application process. mainly menial work like dealing with billing/insurance companies, but i'll also get to go into the operating room and watch surgeries which is muy divertido... or is it divertida? dang. -_-

whys that

1. I miss Japan tremendously and if I were to do another four years, I could get end my obligated service there and not have to leave the country. I'd get a three year work visa as a freebie. I'm not too sure about the details for the visa, but a friendof mine told me that he had a three work visa before even looking for a job.

2. $70,000 Counter-Intelligence bonus

Dang, what pay grade are you now, E-4?

You gonna try to be commissioned ever, or are you one of those dudes that just wants to stay enlisted (nothing wrong with that).

One of things I've always wanted to do in Okinawa is to go to Kadena and watch the Raptors take off and land.
