Today my brother and I went to what is called "The Bluffs" in Pensacola, FL. We decided to take some pictures and see who had the best ones. We set up some rules and there is no rule about asking for critiques.

I was just wondering what you guys thought of these and what I could do to make them better. As for image quality, I can't do anything about that. My camera takes what my camera takes.

Also, I don't have the originals handy. Just need a few comments of what I should do to make these better.

Thanks guys.

Well, they're not really much and they are a bit cliché. I do kinda like the second one though, because of how there's a railroad next to a beach and that's not really something you see everyday, err...well, I don't see everyday. lol. Also, I feel like they're both missing something....they seem pretty plain and boring, tbh. Otherwise, good job. thumbsup.gif

Thanks guys. Uh, I understand what you guys are saying.

As for other types of photo editing tips, you got any?

I don't have an extensive knowledge of photo editing skills. I usually just mess with the shadows/lighting, curves, levels, and mess with the different presets on the channel mixer. This is in PS by the way, in case you were wondering.

If you have any tips in that department, please let me know, or if there are any sites. I've tried to look around, but haven't found much, even though I'm sure there is alot out there.

Thanks guys.

I think they're completely opposite. Just a picture of ANYTHING could be cliche. I think these are really nice and I LOVE the coloring you did. The colors they're vibrant, but not overly saturated. They're also darker colors, which I absolutely LOVE as well.

I love #2, btw.

Butttt...I think this might go better in Pictures. I'm not sure.

I like them a lot. The colors are beautiful and pristine and clean. Very pretty and not at all cliche. You took what you took and you did a nice job. Win!

Contrast is lovely, the 2nd one is the best, the bright tracks, with the somewhat darkened sky. Pretty awesome.

Nice, but needs some selective coloring. I'm sure it looks beautiful on an LCD, but on this CRT, the blacks are too dark, and the whites are too bright.

Wow these are pretty nice. I love number 2 as well. Nice job. I don't know anything about editing images like this so that's all I can really say. thumbsup.gif

Yes it does. Haha, thanks!

Wow I'm glad you went through all that 'cause these are nice pictures.
These are a bit cliche but I think they're nice enough to be exceptional.
I like number 2 more, mostly because of the lighting but I think it's pretty, too.
The skies in both of the pictures are amazing o: Number 1 doesn't even look real.
Hope you win!
