I was going to do this in the Girl's Locker, but I figured it can go out to both genders.

How do you feel about size differences in a relationship? Mainly the girl being bigger/taller than the guy.

I have this guy who really likes me, and we've been on a few dates. & Everything is fine, except he's so much skinnier than me. & I'm by no means a big girl [5'6 and 120 pounds], but he wears his little sister's pants and shirts. Every time we cuddle, I feel like he's a baby and I'm coddling him or something. I'm really trying to get over it, but it's so awkward, and it makes me feel self-conscious.

I'm just wondering if I'm completely shallow, or if anyone else feels like the guy should be taller/bigger than the girl.

You're being a little shallow. LOl at the baby coddling. laugh.gif But anyways you could think about it like this, he's with you because maybe he likes you for you. You should just understand guys now seem to be really skinny.... blink.gif

I think the idea that the guy has to be taller/bigger is bullshit. I dated a girl for a year and a half who was almost 6 inches taller than me -- I'm 5'2", and she's about 5'8", and she weighed half again as much as me. There were never any problems. Neither of us felt self-conscious about it, and she was still "girly" when it came to cuddling and such (i.e., I held her _smile.gif ). She and I were both confident enough in ourselves that it wasn't a problem, and neither of us are shallow enough to believe that height/size matters -- and it doesn't.

I weigh about the same as u and im 5'11 It really has never felt awkward for me but i guess thats because most of my bfs have been pretty muscular so technically still bigger than me, just not taller.

Right now i'm about an inch taller than my boyfriend, so he's pretty close to my height but you can tell and people can usually tell that i'm taller.
about a year ago he was i think significantly shorter...like 3 inches...Anyways if height really mattered to me then i wouldn't be dating him. However it doesn't. If you truely like this guy then the difference between you two physically shouldn't matter

Do you mean that he is so small that he could possibly wear them or are you saying he actually wears her stuff?

Males lose weight much easier than women do. It's very common for the male to be skinnier than the woman.

Hmm... I don't really have this problem since almost all the guys I know are taller (by a lot) than me, lol. And they are usually bigger than me. But I guess because I fit in the criteria that diana specified.. D;

Actually, my ex-boyfriend was realllly skinny, but he was still cute and nice, so that's what matters. I think he was like 5'4 and 98 lbs or something, lol. Of course this was back in 8th grade and we were all still pretty young, where we were like 13 years old. But then again I was like only 4'11 and 80 lbs, lol. shrug.gif

lol somehow I feel like someone's going to mention jcp (mập) after I've given these statistics.
