i
hate
the
west

i want chicago, philly, or detroit to win. aka the least likely. as long as the east wins, i'll be good. i really do hope chicago knocks boston out though, that'd make me pretty happy.

anyone watching tony parker rape the mavs? like, they lubed up and everything just waiting for him to stick it in the goal.

but by the way jc, if the lakers somehow get beat, the cavs will still lose to the west

i have a real hard time liking him.

i'm watching the mavs and spurs. i hate the spurs so much. i can never see myself ever liking this franchise no matter who they have. i hate bruce bowen. why? i just do. if tony parker was on a different team, i'd like him. but i wouldn't want to break my irrational hate of the spurs to give him and props, so f*ck him. i'm going for the mavs. kidd is one of my favorites of all time, i just wish he'd get back to the east.

actually, thinking about it, i like who dallas has right now. too bad they are in texas.

i really like tony parker and tim duncan. i don't like dallas at all, most people in texas much prefer the rockets or spurs over the mavs. also, popovich looks like linderman from heroes.

tony parker, 35 points, wtf, thats more than derrek rose in the ot game

know what team i loathe? the jazz.

portland refs can suck a dick, battier had a completely clean hand in face of brandon roy no contact, he flops, super f*cking obvious flop, and gets the foul call. aaron brooks gets tripped, no call. aldrige hits ball out of bounds, scola called for it. such bs.

the lakers played shitty last night imo, it shouldn't have gotten that close. they're just lucky utah started f*cking up and turning it over at the end or else i think they coulda easily lost it. i couldn't believe they went from being up 20 to only 5 points or so. devon williams was on fire, 35 points.

why are you laughing? it's not like the lakers were gonna sweep. i predicted lakers 4-1. i knew jazz would either win game 3 or 4.

kobe played like crap, and bynum only played 7 minutes, yet jazz only won by 2. i'm not at all concerned. if lakers lose game 4, then i'll be concern.

my hands were literally almost over my eyes when kobe took that last three point attempt! i don't have too much of a problem with the lakers, but i really want utah to make this series a little competitive.

my predictions for each series have been totally off...i didn't think philadelphia or chicago would be able to stick with orlando or boston so closely (but with KG gone, it makes chicago's job a little easier) i also thought new orleans and denver would go to a game 7, but i'm not complaining =)

i dislike the spurs so much. i have a huge problem with bruce bowen and tony parker. bowen because he flops so damn much and can play dirty. parker mainly because of an incident two (?) years ago when he and steve nash collided and nash was bleeding all over the place, but went over to help parker who was pathetically laying on the floor when nothing happened to him.

the only way cavs will beat the lakers is if the refs and stern wanna give their golden poster child his first ring , like they did with d-wade (ahem 25 fts a game against mavs)

other than that i don't see how the cavs can match up with the lakers talent.

if the jazz can match up with the lakers talent, then the cavs can.

i don't think the lakers have played good all series so far. the first two games, had they not had good first quarters then there is a good chance they would have lost. especially game two, lakers played shitty towards the end are just lucky the jazz started turning it over imo. they didn't even win game three.

haha, <3 tung, but i think the cavs will be able to win~the lakers are an awesome team, but i am seriously hoping those two teams meet in the finals because that would be an amazing series (kinda like last year's finals!)

the lakers are a tricky team to decipher. they play to the level of their competition imo. they stepped it up when they have to especially this season when bynum went down and beat the cavs and celtics back to back on the road.

the reason why the jazz can match up with the lakers talent, is cuz their the most talented team in the west outside of the lakers. tbh, i think the jazz talent > cavs talent. that's sayin how good lebron is. cmon now. take lebron out of that team and who do they have? the jazz have deron, boozer, ak47, okur. all four of those players were allstars. then they have role players like milsap and brewer. whenever the cavs and lakers play kobe and lebron usually cancels each other out, leavin the game decided by the supporting players.

gasol > ilguaskas
odom > varejao
kobe > d. west
trevor < lebron
fisher > or = to david west

bench

and i still think the lakers bench is greater than the cavs. especially when you have a 7 footer bynum and a rising shannon brown.

good win today for the lakers. they should've won by 20, but they knew the game was over already with 6 minutes left to go, so they got lazy towards the end. lamar and shannon brown has been very good all series long. i look for a win on monday. i'm hopin houston and portland will go the distance to 7 games, so the lakers can get a bit of rest. trevor ariza is injured, so we need time to heal.

The Lakers have the best team in basketball hands down. They know this, so they go out and play based on talent alone. That's how they've been winning most of their games, but this will catch up to them if they don't get it together.

blazer talent > jazz talent, series could've easily been 2-2, utahs been a mess this year, from being my projected 2nd seen to 8th, and won like 1 game over .500 western teams on the road

i can't really gauge how good the lakers are cause they haven't really crossed a challenge yet, beat the rockets in 5 next series, and then nuggets in 6 is my guess, but the cavs are way better than any other western team

lol at utah lakers series could've been 2-2. you do realize the series could've also been 4-0, if it wasn't for deron's game winner?

also i agree. rockets could beat the cavs in a 7 game series. they beat the cavs so convincingly this season. artest and battier shut lebron out.

that was a good game last night, i wish the jazz had won just because. how stupid were the lakers to let it go from a 22 point lead to a 4? point lead? i duno, they won so that's all that matters. they're going to get screwed if they plan on continuing to give up 20 point leads like they have almost every game this series. maybe they'll be over that though.

They're playing better without TMac because they're not expecting him to carry the team. I'd welcome TMac back, if he's you know, not broken. On the flipside, we could release him and use that salary cap to pick up someone else during the big contract year. Come here Dwayne Wade.

This game was exactly like game two in the end. Maybe it's my Rocket bias but there were a ton of shit calls in this game, too. Oh well, Rockets will come back next game pumped or something like that and take it. No 7th game.

i felt pretty bad for miller last night. to get fouled hard enough in the face that you need stitches and then have to go up and shoot free throws, shitty situation. although really considering the lead the bulls had before, they should have kept themselves out of the situation completely. either way, i thought they shoulda called a flagrant.

i'd love if boston got knocked out first round though.

i felt pretty bad for miller last night. to get fouled hard enough in the face that you need stitches and then have to go up and shoot free throws, shitty situation. although really considering the lead the bulls had before, they should have kept themselves out of the situation completely. either way, i thought they shoulda called a flagrant.
i'd love if boston got knocked out first round though.

I think flagrant would have been appropriate, but I think the refs were making up for the calls on Ray Allen.

As I go to school in New England, and as a Knick fan who would love to see Stephon Marbury fail, here's to hoping the bulls knock em out.

I look at the Spurs Playoff loss in two ways:

1. They got beat by the better team plain and simple. Let's not forget that the Mavs are two years removed from a finals appearance.

2. They got exposed for doing absolutely nothing in the previous offseason to shore up their roster. Hopefully they will be smarter this time around and go younger.

i like houston, but i would like portland to play the lakers because somehow the lakers have trouble beating them.

the last two foul calls on ray allen were really ridiculous. but yeah, the bulls should have closed them out earlier when they were up by 11 or something. and i felt bad for miller too-he must have been so out of it.

and J-the spurs did not have ginobili either

lakers vs portland = 6-7 games lakers win
lakers vs houston = 5-6 games lakers win

so all in all, the lakers will win no matter who they play. it's more of a matter of who will challenge them more.

the west playoffs don't interest me enough, because i don't see a team beating the lakers in a 7 game series. i see a team like Denver giving them trouble though, but not beating them 4 times.

The east playoffs have been f*cken epic outside of pistons-cavs. Every series so far is gonna go 6 games or more.

for the east side, i'm rooting for philly, chicago, and atlanta.

however, if orlando loses, i don't see anyone beating the cavs. the magic is the only team i see who can beat the cavs. then again, if the magic do end up going to the finals, they might beat the lakers. the magic swept the lakers this year. they match up really good with us lakers.

i keep finding myself going for philly during the games becuase they're the underdog. i like orlando though, i like who they have. i've been a fan of alston since...well forever. i wish they'd let him loose more and do what he does best.

I'm not really rooting for anyone. It's more that I'm rooting against the Celtics and the Cavaliers.

I'm against Boston cause everyone at my school is a Celtics fan. I'm against the Cavs because I don't want LeBron getting too comfortable there and end up not coming to the Knicks in 2010 wink.gif

we all know the cavs are on a whole other league than the rest in the east, magic are jameer nelson-less and live and die by the 3, unless superman throws up 30/30 games every time, good game, celtics are shit, i dont give a f*ck what anyone says, they wont go to the finals, starbury is a piece of shit, open 3, gave up to rondo for an airball, lmao, my bulls, as much as I love em, will get to the eastern conference finals max, heat/hawks game is basically useless seeing how the cavs are going to crush them, spurs lost cause of no manu, mavs aren't even that good, they are just good against the spurs, 2006 conference finals anyone? LAL beats houston in 5, then beats nuggets in 6 or 7.

Playoffs is all about matchups imo. Like how Dallas was so good in 2006, but that one team like the Warriors matched up so well they beat Dallas.

Even though Cavs are better than everyone else in the East and on a whole another league right now, I think the Magic match up pretty well against them. As for the Bulls-Celtics series, I think Celtics are going to win it because the Bulls lost last night. Had they won and gone up 3-2, I would say they had the series. However, I don't see the Bulls beating the Celtics 2 straight.

If the Heat and Cavs do end up playing 2nd round, expect ALOT of whistles for D-Whistle and Lebron. How fun is it going to watch that series. 100 FTs a game. Btw, did you guys saw the stat on Lebron how he's averaging like 1.4 fouls a game, the lowest ever in Nba History. Are you telling me Lebron is the best defender who don't foul or what? Also

4 games Cle-Det
Lebron FTA - 59
Detroit Pistons FTA- 58

LOL

Whoever the Celtics play next round, (Magic or Sixers) I think will beat Boston. Starbury hella sucks LOL, just like his $8 shoes. And wow at Paul Pierce. Dude is like automatic on that mid-range shot. It wasn't like Salmons was not defending him well. He had his hand all over that shit.

And I agree with the Mavs and Spurs thing. People are making the Mavs so good of a team for beating the Spurs. Too bad everyone will see the truth about how the Mavs f*cken suck. All they did was beat a Ginobili-less Spurs team. They'll get swept or lose to Denver 4-1 book it.

Mavs do suck.

Too bad the Rockets won't get past the Lakers, otherwise we could beat the Cavs. Hopefully I'm proven wrong, but I'm not hoping for much :[ On another note, I think I'm going to see game two of the Houston - LAL series from around half court about ten rows up. Firm tickets ftw

Dang. I was in the hospital last night. They had to revive me after having about 20 heart attacks after watching red vs green.

I don't like how everyone is suddenly on Rose's dick though. Sure the block was great, but the guy screwed up so many times with turnovers and missed freethrows. He's talented, but it shows he's still got a little bit of ways to go.

how is that not worthy of a suspension? rondo basically pulled hinrich's for 10 feet and literally just threw him to the scorer's table. and no they didn't get tangled up.

and watch rondo throw an elbow at hinrich. i know it missed but still. he threw an elbow, and it would've hit hinrich in the head had the refs not pushed them away.

if rondo isn't suspended for game 7, the nba have no credibility and isn't even consisent. at the same time i don't want rondo suspended, because i want an EPIC GAME 7. and that's what the Nba wants too, and that's why he probably won't get suspended.

i thought it was going to be called a flagrant 2 for sure! i had no idea why rondo would do that. so unnecessary. and with the slapping brad miller incident, i have decided rondo is one feisty player, lol. you can tell hinrich wanted to do something but clearly had to hold himself back, lol.

Rondo has been getting away with murder. Smacking Brad Miller, dragging Hinrich and goaltending in the last few seconds.

bulls should've won in 6, had rondo been called for that flagrant foul to brad miller, or bulls in 7 had rondo been suspended for game 7.
