I don't know if there is a topic already similar to this. If so, I apologize.

I would just like to know what people's thoughts are on pre-marital sex?
Is it ohkay? Bad?

Honestly, I think it's ohkay. In my opinion, people should be able to live life the way they wish. If someone wants to have sex before marriage, go ahead. But, if a person wants to wait until marriage, there's nothing wrong with that either. I just find it weird how some people can make a big deal out of it.

The same goes for the first time one has sex. I honestly didn't find it that big of a deal. For me it was just "Ohkay. I'm not a virgin now... Time to go to practice." I just don't see what the big ordeal is. Yea, there's the whole "Don't waste it on someone" blahblahblah. But, wouldn't someone just not have sex with that person to begin with if he/she did not want to waste it?

You can't spell, "okay", ok? If you can't even spell "okay"... what makes you think that your opinion even matters? Actually, what makes you think that you're responsible and mature enough to have pre-marital sex?

Hey, hey. Some people aren't good at spelling, but it doesn't mean they shouldn't be allowed to give their opinion on something.

You don't need sex ed to have pre-marital sex, or to have an opinion on it.

Just in time. Well let me ask you this.

Does the quality of the opinion matter? If so, what makes the opinion have a low or high quality? Would it be an educated opinion that's considered a quality opinion or does any random opinion that you personally agree with have a higher quality?

I personally think I have more hairs on my beard than the OP has correctly spelled English vocabulary words. blink.gif

Hey OP how old are you anyways?

EDIT: Oh wait, I see she's from Jersey.. nevermind, she'll probably have STDs or get pregnant before she gets into college.

I'll stop caring now sick.gif

There's an old topic like this in Girls Locker, but I see no reason why this topic can't stay here (unless someone comes across a more recent thread).

Wow. An opinion cannot be of low or high quality. If I agree with an opinion, then I agree with it, but that's all; I don't consider it "higher quality."

To respond to the OP: I agree with what you said about living your life the way you want to, and having premarital sex if you feel like it. No need to wait until marriage, unless you feel like it.

well anyway back to the topic at hand. no premarital sex isn't bad. be safe and you're good.

i don't think it's that big of a deal. even though i do think people should put at least a little bit of thought into who their first time is with.

And how many words did the OP misspell? One, with the exception of the word "Yea", which is actually a word. And why in the world does it matter? Ohkay sounds just as much the same as okay, regardless of how it's spelled.

This is why most of the people here don't like you. You have to pick a fight about everything, don't you?

if your ready to have sex, your ready. if you have doubts or kinda jittery, don't. marriage is a more stable environment to have a child, if you accidentally get pregnant when having sex, or if you want to have a child. to some people, sex after marriage is more meaningful. whatever floats your boat, but i don't think there is a problem on pre-marital sex. be mature, safe and it's okay to have sex before marriage.

I think sex before marriage is a horrible idea.. and it shows by the teen pregnancy rates and the number of STDs there are.. Im pretty sure there used to be zero. I also think sex-ed is a good idea, especially because a lot of kids nowadays dont have parental guidance. But our society is going down the shit hole and I can bet there will be 2x as many STDs in 10 years.. so, whatever.

Using "pretty sure" doesn't get you taken seriously, fyi. Although if you contended with more confidence, people would just probably call you ignorant.

And since when was sex before marriage exclusive to teens?

At the end of the day, rising teen pregnancy rates has little to nothing to do with pre-marital sex, and much more so to do with poor education and overall stupidity and ignorance. Your sex-ed suggestion is way better of an idea than suppressing pre-marital sex.

What I meant by my statement was that if there was no premarital sex, the percentage of pregnancies outside of marriage, especially among teens, and people with STDs would go down. And only committed, married couples would have children that they could raise in a stable environment. You know what I meant, or your just that stupid.
