Is anybody getting a storage unit to store their college stuff over the summer (in NY/PA/NJ tri-state area, to be specific)?

Since I'm not going home this summer, I thought it'd be easier to find one of those movers who pick up your things at the end of the year, store them, then deliver it to your new dorm in the fall.

I've got it narrowed down to either Collegeboxes, Hudson Storage, and Manhattan Mini Storage:
https://www.collegeboxes.com/cb-com/home.seam
http://www.moving-storage.com/summer_storage.asp
http://www.manhattanministorage.com/

Idk, nobody I know has tried any of them and I'm not sure how reliable it is, so if anybody's had any experience with a specific company or whatever, it'd be really helpful.

thx

DON'T USE COLLEGEBOXES. A *lot* of college kids got screwed by them a couple of years ago, including one of my roomates. She lost linens, books, sentimental postcards, the whole nine.

Edit: And since you're considering Manhattan Mini, may I recommend Chelsea Mini in its stead? A friend of mine could afford them and he's superbroke.

Yeah I heard a few horror stories about Collegeboxes after I asked around. Would your friend recommend Chelsea Mini? Price isn't really an issue for me (parents are covering this), I just want something that's reliable.

He was a pretty big fan of Chelsea Mini. They have a pretty kickass security system (I know, I went with him a couple of times) and, even though you said that price wasn't really a factor, they were very affordable. I think he even got like a couple of months free. I'll ask him about it, though, to give you a fair review.
