Ok, so I was thinking of making a new cB layout and decided to go with it. What do you guys think?

Its cleaner but I like it.
Its a little empty so maybe where you do have a glow or drop shaodw right now you should make it a little more intense. And the top gradient is a little dark and intense for me. It looked so dark I lowered my screen cause I thought it was thelight but it wasnt. and the blow contrasts pretty badly. You love your brushes. lol. all in all another good job

Yikes, add some sort of padding to those boxes, son! That's one of my pet peeves.
Anyway, I think it looks pretty good. I'm not really a fan of the striped border, though. Also, you spelled my username wrong in your top friends marquee.

Each of the boxes are div's so maybe the positioning may have not been so accurate.  Oh, and I fixed your username.  Silly me. :D

^It's pretty much only an issue with your about me box (but the basics box could use a little more, too) . The words lie right on the borders. Reduce the width of the div. That should fix it.

The "add comment" link thingy (yes its a technical term lol) is touching its box and I think it looks a little weird.

Ohhh, all the different boxes have their own images? Maybe try positioning the text and the image separately.

I think it looks nice. Love the brushes you used. The only thing I don't really like is that "createblog.com" (right next to your username) is too dark & gets lost with the brushes behind it. Good job though.

what schizo said about the text being too close to the borders. there's some parts in the about me that even go outside of the borders (that may just be on certain comp/browsers). this is just a minor detail but for some reason it bothers me that the space between the about me and the comment box is so much smaller than the spaces between the three tables on the right. makes it look unbalanced. other than that, i like the brushwork lol, and i like the colours you chose. good job (:

On 1024x768 resolutions the logo is cut off. Try using zindexs. aka put the logo on top.
1024x768: and i agree with gabi on how there is no padding! The letters are right next to their borders which I dont like. Edit: Also I know how harsh this is gonna sound but even though for you its just about making the design and coding but for others its mainly just about the content in the page. And your grammar is pretty bad in the about me. Might want to work on that. |

I agree with Christy, even though it's YOUR style it's just boring with the same thing over and over again just different colors basically.
Take Jeni at lemonend.net she has her own style but her layouts don't look like each other. So I'm still sticking with what I said earlier in your other threads, try other styles...PLEASE. I want to see what you can really do outside of your comfort zone. But yea...I like the blue background. The brushes are okay, not super awesome looking and I'm not fond of the gray. |
