I like Numbers 1,3 and 4.
That doesn't narrow it down very much though xDDDD

1) The 4 is pixelly D:
2) Sorry, just not feeling it >.< It looks a little like text slapped on an image
3) I love this but the wording could be made a little bit more readable ._.
4) It's so awesome xDDDD But I don't know if it really fits the movie ._."

^I pretty much agree with everything you said.

I like #1 a lot (: and #3 looks quite professional imo (besides the text being kind of hard to read).

I was actually pretty excited for #3 scrolling down, but then I saw how incredibly messy the text is.

Now I'm kind of torn between #1 and #4. The first actually looks like a poster for a Shrek movie, which is awesome. As for the fourth one, I can't really see it as a movie poster, but it's so creative/cute!

Neither of the two have all the information that is usually shown on movie posters though, which kind of bugs me. =\

#1.
Wow, has Shrek had those spots on his head? I never noticed, haha.

#2.
I liked the background picture. However, I don't have a vibe for the text styles and colors you used.

#3.
I love number 3. The lightening and concept seems like a movie poster. I love how number three is the only one that shows the credits of the movie.

#4.
The vector is nice. I loved the lighting. Although, I think this poster could have a little more details added..

Can I make a suggestion for the next cB design competition?
I think the next one should be magazine covers like thia:

I'd love to see some interesting creativity.

Only four submissions?

1# unprofessional and it looks bead in my opinion.

4# would be great if it focused a little more on Alice.

3# Love it! Looks amazing! And professional.

1. Really nice. I could totally see it as a movie poster. The only thing that bothers me is some of the edges on the four.

2. I love whoever submitted this one because they did The Green Hornet, but I'm not the biggest fan of the poster. The different fonts and stuff are just a bit too much.

3. Hate the font used for the everything but the title, but it looks pretty cool. The texture is nice.

I like 3 and 4. Actually I am happy I didn't enter because I was planning on doing something really close to number 3.

I think I like 4 overall, if it were to have more movie info at the bottom I think It would more realistic though.

I think I like 2 the lease, the green hornet is awesome but I don't like the font's.

01: I like it, but the edges around the 4 seem a bit rough. Also, I don't think there's a lot of creativity in this one - if you took out the 4 and put 2 or 3, the poster would still work.

02: The background is too busy - when I glance at it quickly (like someone who might see this on the street), I don't see the white text. I'd tone the background down a bit and use different fonts/colors for the text.

03: Love it, but the font should be bigger and more legible. Too many flames.

04: It doesn't seem to have any of the usual information on movie posters. I also think that if you took away the title and just looked at the picture, it's hard to tell that this is for Alice in Wonderland, even with the blue pinafore and everything. It's really cute though.

Sorry if I come off sounding mean. I didn't enter this contest because I knew I wouldn't be able to do this well and you guys did an awesome job, regardless of what I say.

I like 3 and 4 best. But in a bit more detail,

1.) Looks totally awesome and looks totally like a movie poster but again, the '4' is kind of choppy.

2.) I really like the movie but I'm just not feeling that 'vibe', just looks like text slapped on. shrug.gif

3.) Probally my most favorite and it looks very nice, but the title text could've been a little bit more readable.

4.) Looks very nice and clean as well as cute. tongue.gif Although, I'm not sure if this would really fit as a 'movie poster' but instead like a banner. *shrugs*

Oh, and btw, I know who made 1, 3, and 4. :p

1. I like it. Looks like a real poster

2. I really like it. Makes it look comic book-ish in a way and very 50's horror film like. I think this one is my favourite

3. Eh. I dislike this one the most. I can't read the text at all

4. Super cute. I like the vector. I think i know who made this.

1. looks good, i can see it being a real movie poster. like others have said, the edges of the four could be better done. they distract me, but overall everything looks nicely put together. although it's good, i think most people would agree that it's also the easiest one. there's a ton of shrek images and other covers to look at.

2. really not as bad as people are acting like it is if you ask me. something about the text is annoying though. i think there's just too much. i don't have a huge issue with any of the fonts individually but all together they look too much. also the fact that the "is back" has a gradient on it makes it look like a whole other font. so it comes off as four fonts, when it's really just three. if i had to take one off it would for sure be the orange font, it looks the most random. i think this would look not too bad if it was printed movie poster size.

3. i like this one, but i'm biased since i'm reading the book. the title could be more readable. i don't like the font used at the top at all. the flames are alright but the repeating pattern is way way too obvious and throwing it off. it makes it look a lot more unrealistic because it would never really look like this. so be careful of repeating such a distinct pattern over and over so closely because it really stands out.

4. pretty much the most creative since it's not a matter of googling some images and sticking them together. great type on this one, probably the best type out of them all in terms of fitting the theme. like others have said though, it barely translates over to a movie poster feel. i think if you had added some typical movie poster information to it at the bottom or something it would come across more movie-posterish.

I agree. I also see another repeated flame 4 times. And another one 2 times.

None of my other judges decided to show for judging tonight.. sad.gif

So you and I pick the winner.... And the winner is....

Murat (medi) with his movie poster for the movie Fahrenheit 451. Additionaly, cause I feel like being generous with the ChaCha earnings rolling in. (:P) Everyone who made a submission this round will be given $10. Round 4 will be announced Wednesday morning 6-8am(ish) EST.

I know the winner was already picked but I'll critique them anyways.

1) I think it's cute. I could honestly see this movie poster in theaters. The "4" is a bit pixelated but it's not a big deal. Nice job! :D
2) I like the idea but I just think more could have been done with it. The fonts look random too. You used different styles. Needs work. "/
3) Yours is reeeeeeeeeally good. I could see this in theaters as well. I think it's a bit too dark though. The flames look a bit weird because some are in the shape of a star. Overall it's nice :)
4) I love yours too. So cute. I don't have anything bad to say about it. I love the shadows in the back. Nice touch :D

And congrats, Murat, on winning this round. flowers.gif

Congrats xDDD
I knew who did 2,3 & 4.
JCP/Joseph did number 2 (it kinda gives me the 'Joseph' vibe. Plus he left out his own one when he was criticizing the posters xDDDD)
2&3 posted their starting ideas in the forums :3
