What's the difference? Generally, a daddy's little girl is considered to be very fortunate. She is the apple of her father's eye. These girls have very intimate relationship with their father and very much often receive many advantages and benefits being the favorites in the family. In other words...they get spoiled! On the other hand, being a mama's boy isn't such a wondering thing. There are no bragging priviledges that coincide with the tittle. A mama's boy is suffocated by too much maternal affection thus in terms emasculated him. In comparision to the girl's father, who is gentle and kind, the mother of a Mama's boy tend to be needy and often manipulates her child into overdependency. This will eventually screwed him later in life when he finds his significant other.

The Daddy's girl and Mama's boy dichotomy: It is ironic to see a culture that celebrates the affection between a father and daughter ridicules the relationship between a mother and her son. Although the negative influence that a mother places upon her son does not apply to all scenerio, but cultural assumption tend to generalize an idea based on just one example. In today's society, the most prolific progenitor of sterotypes is the media. The negative connotation behind the relationship of a mother and her male child has placed a strong stereotypic assumption that have been widely accepted. Since people are being bombarded with the negative image of the Mama's boy, they no longer question the validy behind such claim.

What do you guys think????

I like to write about nonsense like thiss...lol...

That's interesting. It's sort of funny because I'm neither. It seems like my brother is spoiled. He gets anything and everything he wants. I think it really depends on who you are in the family [ie: only child, oldest, youngest, middle and etc.] and how you grew up.

My brother is a mama's boy. I always tease him about being a girl and stuff because in a way, I'm jealous that my mom gives him the attention I never get. I'm definitely not a daddy's girl, so I'm just... there.. _dry.gif

I'm nobody's girl... but that's because I don't want to be spoiled.... but if I need something, I can always ask... except for when it comes to getting me a car, but that's in the process of being done, anyway happy.gif People who are spoiled walk all over their mom or dad... whoever is spoiling them... (if you're spoiled it's not necessarily you... but it does happen) -and I don't think that's really right, you know?

i hate my dad. Why? Because I'm supposively daddy's lil gurl because when I was young he always tried to take me with him to places, like a wedding or something, but he's still a mofo! Why?! because he has hurt my family so much so no, I can't relate to this. My father, the black sheep of my family. My father, the one who hurt my family the most. So truly, I have never really loved my father. How can you have a father who makes a comment about your "ass" or "butt" when you were, 12, or a father who always asks you stupid questions ONLY to you, but never bothering your other sister? How can a father be like that? I have never felt a relationship with my father at all. SO when I read all these things, I think "why couldn't I be like that too?" I guess you could say that fathers arent always as they appear to be. Why did fate make life so hard for me? Why does Buddha have to watch my family crumble, without making anything better? Why aren't all my unanswerable questions answered?

Call me crazy, call me jealous. Deep down, I will never know. Because deep down, I don't know what it was like to have a father, even though I have one....

I don't believe in every family that there's always a favor in the child of the opposite sex. Just saying, there are parents or a single parent who give equal amount of attention and care to their children.
