First off, I'm high so you'll have to excuse my spelling, grammar, and general coherence of my sentences. (Or lack of judgment.)

Second, I'd like to apologize for making an ass of myself on these forums over the past few years. I am an asshat. I apologize sincerely.

Next, I'd like to explain to you my predicament. I'm currently attending a community college here. I've applied to transfer to a certain college which I am very fond of. If I get in, I'll be 20 minutes from Chicago. However, there is always a chance of me being denied from that college. If I don't get in, I plan on moving to a bigger city and study there at the community college nearby and go transfer to a school close to my city.

Now let me explain to you why I need to go to a bigger city. I think living in this small town here has retarded my learning abilities and dulled down my sense of realistic judgment and thinking skills. I feel like I haven't been able to "experience" my life as a young adult. The form of entertainment here is going to the theater every friday. There is nothing here.

So I feel I should move to a bigger city and learn how to be independent. At this point, I know I can't take care of myself. I know I'm spoiled and retarded. I want to learn how to handle responsibilities and to basically "be a man." If I can't take care of myself, how am I going to take care of my future wife/son/daughters?

So anyways, I've been blessed with parents who have been very kind (and patient) to allow me to keep the car that they've been putting payments on! They are even willing to pay for a couple months of rent until I get situated.

So my question to you all is this:

1)Will you forgive me?
2)Can you recommend me some big cities that have many many forms of entertainment and attraction? (i.e museums, art galleries, parks, zoos, aquariums, etc. etc.)
3)For those of you living in those cities, how is it like? Are there many "date places"? (I want to try being a romantic guy.)
4)Average cost of payments that you have on your bill. (Just a general amount, I don't need a specific date.)
5)Are they slack on carding for alcohol? I might need a lot of it. tongue.gif
6)Did any of this even make sense?

1) I forgive you
2) If you're gonna live in the big city for a while, I dunno if you wanna bother with the tourist-y life. Live the city lifestyle instead.
3) nevermind I'm already too tired; I wanna move into the city asap too though

Nah n*gga, I only smoke joints when I'm toking by myself.

-edit
If you came over we'd smoke a blunt though. Idk if I would actually share a blunt with you, though....I still have some discrepancies on you and the way you act towards people.

I'd give it a good thought before I shared a blunt with you, IMO.

1) Yes
2) Not Vancouver. But we do have an art scene plus a beeeautiful park 3x the size of Central Park. Zoo sucks. Aquarium is awesome. Very scenic, just take a walk along the Sea Wall and you can call it a day.
3) Yeah I would say there are many date places. It rains a lot which could or could not be romantic? Yale Town in downtown Vancouver is gorgeous at night, as well as the whole downtown area. Many lovely restaurants by the ocean. We have ugly rocky beaches too.
4) N/A; no idea
5) Depends where you go, but generally yeah. But you'll be in Canada and the drinking age here is 19, sooo.
6) Surprisingly, yes.

1)Will you forgive me? lol
2)Can you recommend me some big cities that have many many forms of entertainment and attraction? (i.e museums, art galleries, parks, zoos, aquariums, etc. etc.)
NEW YORK CITY!!! - met, moma, guggenheim, broadway, central park, museums of everything everywhere, bronx zoo, etc etc etc etc
3)For those of you living in those cities, how is it like? Are there many "date places"? (I want to try being a romantic guy.)
nyc is pretty awesome. transportation is super convenient, everything is just a subway ride or so away. there are cheap places, expensive places, romantic places, fun places... bars, comedy clubs, restaurants, lounges, club row, etc etc etc x 102938
4)Average cost of payments that you have on your bill. (Just a general amount, I don't need a specific date.)
really depends on where you live, man. i'm a college kid right now, so i pay 1.5k/month for housing which includes electricity/water bill.
5)Are they slack on carding for alcohol? I might need a lot of it. tongue.gif
pretty much. most places in east village dont really card. if you know the right liquor stores, tons of places dont card. if you want to go to a club or a bar, most fakes can get you in, unless it's a supernice place.
6)Did any of this even make sense?
i just read the questions, man. i'm sure it didnt.

Well I recently moved to Seattle. Seriously, anything you want to do, it's here. It's a big city, but it's clean and there are lots of nature. It still has a lot of natural beauty. Perfect blend of technology and trees. That's really what caught my eye when I first got here. It's not a forest of concrete like most big cities.

Also, the night life is incredible. Any kind of bar you'd want, its here. Lots of great casinos. Tons of great restaurants. Lots of live music always going on. And ladies, ladies, ladies.

There's also tons of opportunities. Just about any job/career you'd want, you'll find it here.

Oh, and they have a specialty weed here. It's called Seattle Super. Amazing stuff. The smoke here is top notch.

I'm 20 too and I think everyone around our age is going through the same thing. I know I am. It's great that you want to change man, but I don't feel you need to apologize. If how you've acted is who you you are, then f*ck it, honestly. I act like an ass on here sometimes (or always in some peoples opinion) but how I act is me. I'm not going to change the way I act and what I say because of somebody on a forum's opinion of me. Sure, I'm here to make friends, and I've made close friends that I still talk to from years ago, but that's because they liked me for me. I feel too many people on this forum just post things because someone on here might think it's cool or they're trying to fit in or become popular. That's bullshit. But if you honestly feel like you need to change for yourself and no one else, then that's great. That shows maturity. Something this forum severely needs. I know I'm going in another direction entirely with this, and you probably don't care, but that's how I feel about it.

This, basically. I think everyone should live in New York City at least once, and what better time to do it than while you're a college student?

i'm with melissa and cristy, duh, new york.

i think everyone should move at some point, even if it's for a few years. i think if you always lived in a small place then you have distorted views of how things are. i also think if you always lived in a big city then you also have distorted views of how things are. getting out of bk for a while has completely changed how i look a lot of things. moving away from what you know will grow you up faster than anything else imo. aka i think you have the right idea in your head.

1.) forgive you for what? you mean the whole trish thing? lol. that's old news bro. so yes, i forgive you for being a "spy" haha.

2.) live in San Francisco. the place is great. it's located nearby other cities that you can go to if you wanna get away from the city once in a while. the museums, the shopping, and the people are amazing in the bay area. the weather is probably the best too.

3.) the dating scene is pretty up to you. SF have many romantic restaurants you can go to, and walk around with such nice scenery at night. you have the nice beaches nearby too.

4.) i live on my own. i pay for car insurance, rent, pg&e, internet, tuition, books, groceries, shopping, going out.. a month, i would say about $600-700 a month (this is minus insurance, tuition, and books). if you plan on moving somewhere, ALWAYS find roommates to live with. it will save you alot of money.

5.) it depends. do you look mature or old enough to be obviously over 21? if not, then they will card you even if you are 21. different bars and clubs varies on it's consistency in carding.

6.) yes it did

also, i'm a pretty chill dude in person if you ever wanna get high with. don't let my internet persona make you judge my irl personality.

Working and school pretty much takes up my entire life. I usually have about 3-4 hours of free time out of work and school. I use those 3-4 hours going to the gym, or hanging out with some friends. Weekends, is when I go shopping, or kicking it with friends. Pretty simple life really. Nothing too extreme, or boring.

Houston's the cheapest place out of all of the major cities listed. University of Houston has the best business school for the ease of acceptance. I mean it's obviously not going to be as good as some of the ivys or top schools, but #1 entrepreneurship program in the nation, #3 overall business or something like that in texas. With a roommate you can pay 350 or so for housing per month, and houston's economy is not in a recession. Jobs are still plentiful here, gas is cheap, and so is overall cost of living. Houston, among Dallas, San Antonio (sort of), and Austin, is completely different than the rest of Texas. No cowboys, no accents, most diverse city in the nation, and huge land-wise. Fourth largest city and whatnot.

It's considerably easier in Houston, where the overall cost of living is well, low. I could argue the same thing that I could live in new york city, but that would be the difference in a <1000 sq ft studio apartment vs a >4k sq ft house.

I'm still trying to see if I really need to take advantage of the transportation system in the cities. I know New York would definitely be awesome for that, but I heard LA/Houston isn't that great to use the transit system?

forgive you? well obvious we're online so what ever is said online i won't seriously take to heart after all it's basically opinionated words.

best cities i cn think of are NY n Miami

City life is really animated big cities like NY for example they azre always jumpin witht things to do all hours of the day. hence the nickname the city that never sleeps. it has evreything from music to parttys to celebrations to parades and a huge mix of cultures so yea theres always something to do and alot of interacting goin on.

apartments jus depend on where u live in the city

I think all schools are strict on carding for alchol have a friend get it for you but don't drink too much.

Hey guys, bit of an update on my plans.

Ends up my parents want to make an investment into a condo. Basically that means I'll be taking care of the condo until they decide to move here too. (4-6 years) That also means I'll be living for free, basically. So much for "trying to be independent". tongue.gif But I am definitely very grateful to my parents that they're doing this. (I refuse to let them pay for anything other than the rent...I don't want to have too much money, because I know I'll end up spending it on pointless shit.)

That being said, since my parents want to live in the condo, (which I'll be moving out of once they arrive here) I'll be narrowing my choices to the west coast. I don't think my parents would be able to handle NYC or any of the east coast cities.

My serious and likely choices now are LA, Houston, and Chicago. My mom really wants a condo in California, so obviously that puts some bias there, though.

-Also

Anyone of you LA'ers know anything about Culver City? I hear it's nice, and I think it'd be perfect for my parents.

-final edit
Seems like it's LA for sure. (Parents didn't like Houston.) Thanks for the information, guys!
