Well, I never really post here.
Or in any relationship forum thing..
but uh yeah I'm kinda desperate HAHAHAH.

Well, there's this guy I see around school who's kinda cuteee haha. There's also a sadies dance coming up in 3 weeks. For those of you who don't know, it's a girl ask boy dance.

Anyway, out of some betting (-____-), persuasion, and long conversations with my best friend, I've decided to take a big big leap and ask this guy.

Well, that's where all sorts of problems come in. I just see him around school.. I really don't know him. Never talked to him at all. Just a couple of times where we made eye contact in the hallway, but I don't think he knows I exist. In the beginning of the school year, he never appealed to me, but I remember this one time at a club meeting (outside of school & w/ other schools) where I just kept staring at him because he looked familiar and we made eye contact so much. At that time, I didn't even know he attended my school. I never really saw him until I got my schedule changed. He seems cuter now HAHAHAH. ;D
I don't know if he has a girlfriend or not. And he's also an upperclassman. I think a senior, so it seems like because of that, my rejection chances are higher lol. I also think I figured out his name since I work in the school office and it comes in handy tongue.gif .

So, um, basically, how can I 'get to know him' without coming off as a complete creep?

Well, since I think I got his name down, I'm thinking of getting a friend to introduce us.. but I don't even know how to ask without sounding like a complete creep to my FRIEND.

I also talked to this one guy I'm pretty close to and he says he'll probably not even answer if I asked him to the dance. But idk how reliable he is because I know he likes me. mellow.gif sldfm;alksdma;lsd

The best way to do this is to approach as a level-headed adult, and not as a giddy little high school girl. I don't mean that as an insult, but seriously, just step to the guy (with confidence), and let him know what the deal is.

-Introduce yourself
-Make enough small talk to gauge his reaction to you
-Bring up the dance and express interest
-Don't put any immediate pressure on him
-Give him your number, myspace, or facebook so you two can keep in touch
-Work from there and keep it on the low

If he's not interested after that, his loss. No pedo, but you're pretty. I don't see why he wouldn't be interested (unless you have an unflattering reputation). If he doesn't have something already lined up, then he should probably come around. If he doesn't, be sure to have a backup plan.

You're hardly ever an ***hole.

I second Brandon's advice, pretty much. Don't let the age difference deter you from asking this guy to the Sadie Hawkins dance.
