I've been online buying clothes practically this entire deployment. Everything is getting mailed to my parents house (pretty smart, eh?) so I can pick it up while en route to DC.

I checked my bank statement, and I realized that I just spent 2 grand in the past two weeks on kicks alone. Most of which being Nike Dunks.

I think I have a problem.

I have one pair of shoes that I wear on a daily basis. Then there are soccer, basketball, rafting, and some high gloss bates.

I still can't seem to find another pair of MF DOOM dunks, though. And that, my friends, is making Brandon very angry.

^YES. But 10.5 is hard to come by. That's like the universal shoe size for anyone who rocks Nike Dunks.

I've seen these things go for as much as $500. I'm not that desperate to get my hands on the kicks dedicated to my favorite rapper... not yet, at least. ph34r.gif

It's weird because my shoe game has always been on point. Even if I were just wearing a thermal, beanie, and some Evisu denim (the plain look, FTW); my kicks were a definite stand out. So I had lot of kicks before coming on this deployment.

The only difference is, I would research which SBs they were and take my time looking for them. I never liked buying online because it's so much more gratifying to go in the store and actually try them on, then walk out with the new purchase on my feet.

I haven't been in civilization for seven months, f*ck it, online shopping has taken over my life.

lol well, my shoe collection prolly adds up to the 7-8 grand range. i don't even wear most of my shoes though, cuz i want to be able to sale them later when i'm done with my shoe faze and sell it on to another sneakerhead. most of my shoes are only worn 10 times max. 10 times only in about 3-4 years. not bad.

Man, I don't even have kicks that I purchased a year and a half ago, let alone three. I'll give them away, sell them for cheap, toss them in the dumpster, etc if I've had my wear. I've purchased hundreds of kicks in three to four years, but I think I'm only sitting on 40 pairs of Dunks, at most.

Lol. I have an emotional attachment to my shoes though haha. I mean I got the Tiffany's 3 years ago. Shit, Pink Box Nike Sb's are f*cken classics. That's what I like about Sbs. People still wear shoes that released 6 years ago today, and they are clean as f*ck. I rarely touch my pink boxes sb shoes though. Aite i'm sounding too much like a hypebeast for stocking my shoes haha.

I skate all the time around campus, so I can't wear my expensive sb dunks anymore. Only my sb blazers and beaters to skate around.

Damn, you have the Tiffany's? That certifies you as a hypebeast.

I guess I don't fully fit the description because my primary concern is the full outfit, not just my kicks. I still have the Tony Parker Dunks, the Peewee Herman SBs and the Skate or Die's, but nothing from way back.

...that's where my Jordan 1s come into play. I can't wait to wear my Jordan 1 x A Tribe Called Quest kicks. Those are bananas.

Lol, i collect ONLY Sb's. I ain't a Jordans fan. Imo, they are kinda ugly. Of course I got the Tiffany's lol. I got shit load of rare sb's and quickstrikes. including melvins, rayguns, purple pigeons, hawaiis, bucks, unkles (MY FAVORITE SB's EVER), blue avengers, jedis, stussys, dela soul, pushead, and a shit load more.

the ones i names, are all about $200-$400 range each. i rarely wear them though. i've only worn them about 10 times max like i said. i mostly wear my sbs GR's that are priced around $80-100.

I like Jordan 1s because they're nothing more than Nike Dunks that fit tighter around the ankle. Hell, I learned how to skate in a pair of Jordan 1s.

I've always been a Nike Dunk fan. It's not a matter of collecting them for me, it's just that they're the only type of sneaker that I've ALWAYS liked. I'll rarely buy AF1s or Js, but the way a Hollister Becky wears flip-flops is how this seasonal0.gif wears Dunks.

every respectable seasonal0.gif has a pair of jordans tucked away imo

although i know what you mean tung, some of the jordans are ugly as hell, but you just have to dodge those. like brandon said though jordan 1's = love. my jordan's have sentimental value. my pair of red and white 18th's didn't touch ANYTHING but the court for years.

i could never be a sneakerhead like you guys, i'm too cheap or something. i duno, i have some weird guilty concious thing about excessive expenses that i don't actually need. this holds me back from ever being a ballin' seasonal0.gif sad.gif

@ steven, you are beating me stubborn.gif size 14 would suck though, i don't envy you at all. i have a hard enough time finding 13s sometimes. luckily a lot of times it depends on the shoe and i can move around between size 12/12.5 and 13, and places usually have 12 more often it seems.

6'5 are you still growing ohmy.gif you better be able to dunk soon...anyone 6'5 should be dunking. i could dunk when i hit 6'1 or something i think, granted i'm da seasonal0.gif but i've seen 6'0 xmas.gif dudes dunking. bring out your inner seasonal0.gif

Yesterday this dude that works at journeys came into the branch to make a deposit for his store. We must have spent at least forty minutes talking about kicks. All the girls in the branch looked at us like wtf?! I told them that girls have their bags and guys have their kicks.

To me...there is a big difference between being a sneaker head and being a kick head.

I define a sneaker head as somebody who just gets the newest and simple shit that comes out:

Example: All those dumbasses that stand on forty deuce for hours outside of foot action for the same jordans that everybody, their mother, lil ke ke in the stroller, and pookie and them down the block are going to have.

A kick head is somebody who takes their time and gets a lot of exclusive shit. They know that what they are going to get nine times out of ten you won't see somebody in the same vicinity with it on ya know.

Example: Tung knows how long I have been trying to find these Dontrelle Willis dunks. Everybody that I have seen has the red and white ones, but NOBODY and I mean NOBODY has the ones that come in the Marlins colors.

I think that you are a kick head and I apologize if you were slighted in some way.

I'm going to do air alert. I hope I'm done growing, it's a pain finding pants / shoes alike. Shirts can be annoying too, seeing as I'm thin and fit into a medium just fine but with shirts and jackets a lot of time they're too short. It's a hard knock life. On the bright side, I'm doing quite well when I play basketball having only started a couple months ago and not playing too terribly religiously. Soccer is so advantageous.

lol see the thing is I don't wear DUNKS at all. Sb Dunks is way different than regular dunks you see at like Journeys or Footlocker, etc. Sb dunks are wayyy more expensive and comfortable to wear, because of the padding on it. i mostly order online for my shoes, and i usually hunt down shoes i want.
