It might be because I'm really tired, but I'm not entirely sure what you mean or what type of answers you're looking for. You want examples of leadership but not necessarily in terms of naming off leader type positions? Like, what makes a leader?

a leader can be, someone who follows that leader. a role model perhaps? a leader can be a ruler, who tells you what to do. is that what you mean?

Thank you for that wonderful boot camp flashback

Use this Leadership Principles for Marines website for assistance. It serves as a rough guideline for leading your subordinates to victory. Some points in the article will not apply in the civilian world but the core principles are there.
