My website: suggestions? Options

This is my website, the layout I did not create. Should I change anything about it, content or the alike? I got a few people telling me the layout is too dark, so that will be one thing I'll change on it for sure.

Also, I will be buying a domain, so the freewebs banners won't be on the pages.

Um this is a bit acward but the link to faq looks a bit like f*g. I thought thats what it said.
Maybe you could make the link say Q&A instead. And it is a little dark. But not really. Its nice:) Maybe the gradienton top shouldnt go to quite as dark and the background could be a little lighter.

i agree with joseph. with the gradient at the top, why not try white and light blue. the dark blue makes it blend with the background. and for the links, try a lighter blue. just a suggestion. but all in all, it looks really good!
