DVD burning?

so i have sweeney todd on my computer as an .avi file, but i want to burn it to a disk (obviously so i can watch it with my DVD player). i have no idea what to do. i have...a DVD burner, a blank DVD, and nero, if that helps.
help a retard out, please?

If you have a vista computer you might have a software called roxio creater. its a dvd/cd burning software. Even if you dont u should have something to burn cds. Just open that insert your disc and burn it. Then take it out and watch it.

yeah if you have vista, it asks when you put the DVD in what you want to do, you can use windows DVD creator, although it takes like an hour for it to convert and burn it. you could also use Total Video Converter, a peice of software you can find on the internets.
